| 1 | Influence of various volute designs on volute overall performance显示文摘This paper discusses the influence of various volute designs on volute overall performance for a certain centrifugal compressor with both vaned and vaneless diffuser. Firstly, based on a free vortex flow pattern and the assumption of a circumferentially uniform flow at the design condition, a corrected method for volute design is adopted. By means of this method, corresponding to five geometric parameters affecting the volute overall performance, ten volute cases are designed. Secondly, the numerical simulation is employed and the detailed flow field and losses in different volutes with different geometric parameters are analyzed. The numerical investigation reveals that in all of the five geometric parameters, the radial location of the cross-section has the strongest influence on the performance of the volute. The non-uniform volute inlet formed by the upward vaned diffuser outlet flow is another important factor. | 2 | Numerical and Experimental Investigation of an Axial Compressor Flow with Tandem Cascade显示文摘Basing on a prototype of DCA airfoil and axial displacement overlap of 10% chord,seven kinds of tangential displacements are taken to simulate the flow conditions in tandem cascade with numerical methods to select a better geometry with higher performance.The configuration with tangential displacement b/t=0.83 would gain better flow performance than the others.On this basis,two configurations with tangential displacement b/t=0.67 and 0.83 among several configurations are chosen to take into experimental investigations by using TR-PIV system to capture the flow velocity instantaneously.The configuration with b/t=0.83 is observed a better flow field performance than b/t=0.67.Its injection flow in the gap zone is much stronger,wake zone area of the front and rear blade is smaller and the stream flow is more improved.It shows that the flow performance in experimental investigation is quite in the same trend as the numerical results predict. | Chun Shen Xiaoqing Qiang Jinfang Teng | 2012 | Journal of Thermal Science2012,21,6: | 4 |
| 3 | An activated form of NB-ARC protein RLS1 functions with cysteine-rich receptor-like protein RMC to trigger cell death in rice显示文摘A key event that follows pathogen recognition by a resistance(R)protein containing an NB-ARC(nucleotide-binding adaptor shared by Apaf-1,R proteins,and Ced-4)domain is hypersensitive response(HR)-type cell death accompanied by accumulation of reactive oxygen species and nitric oxide.However,the integral mechanisms that underlie this process remain relatively opaque.Here,we show that a gain-offunction mutation in the NB-ARC protein RLS1(Rapid Leaf Senescence 1)triggers high-light-dependent HR-like cell death in rice.The RLS1-mediated defense response is largely independent of salicylic acid accumulation,NPR1(Nonexpressor of Pathogenesis-Related Gene 1)activity,and RAR1(Required for Mla12 Resistance 1)function.A screen for suppressors of RLS1 activation identified RMC(Root Meander Curling)as essential for the RLS1-activated defense response.RMC encodes a cysteine-rich receptor-like secreted protein(CRRSP)and functions as an RLS1-binding partner.Intriguingly,their co-expression resulted in a change in the pattern of subcellular localization and was sufficient to trigger cell death accompanied by a decrease in the activity of the antioxidant enzyme APX1.Collectively,our findings reveal an NBARC-CRRSP signaling module that modulates oxidative state,the cell death process,and associated immunity responses in rice. | Yiqin Wang Zhenfeng Teng Hua Li Wei Wang Fan Xu Kai Sun Jinfang Chu Yangwen Qian Gary JLoake Chengcai Chu Jiuyou Tang | 2023 | Plant Communications2023,4,2: | 1 |
| 4 | Transcriptome analysis of salt-stress response in three seedling tissues of common wheat显示文摘Xiaoyan 60(XY60) is a new wheat variety bred in the laboratory of Zhensheng Li.After salt treatment, seedlings of XY60 maintain green leaves and produce longer roots than the high yielding cultivar Zhongmai 175(ZM175).To explain these different phenotypes we carried out an RNA-Seq analysis using 12 samples from three tissues of both varieties subjected to salt and control treatments.By comparing data from the salt treated plants with the control, 703, 979, and 1197 differentially expressed genes(DEGs) were detected in new leaves, old leaves, and roots of XY60, respectively.The corresponding numbers for ZM175 were 613, 1401, and 1301.The most significantly enriched Gene Ontology(GO) terms and KEGG pathways were associated with polyunsaturated fatty acid(PUFA) metabolism in both new and old leaves from XY60.They were associated with photosynthesis and energy metabolism in ZM175.The most significantly enriched KEGG pathway in roots of both varieties was “glucosinolate biosynthesis”.In addition, jasmonic acid(JA) concentration in XY60 was higher than in ZM175, although it increased significantly in both varieties following salt treatment.Trends in relative expression levels of AOS, MYC2, and JAZ revealed by qRT-PCR were concordant with those from RNA-Seq.Our results suggest that PUFAs may contribute to salt tolerance in common wheat by enhancing the photosynthetic system and JA-related pathways. | Qiaoling Luo Wan Teng Shuang Fang Hongwei Li Bin Li Jinfang Chu Zhensheng Li Qi Zheng | 2019 | The Crop Journal2019,7,3: | 1 |
