1Accelerating myelin degeneration in Alzheimer's disease mice显示文摘Alzheimer's disease(AD)is the most common cause of dementia,mainly manifested by cognition decline and memory loss.Recent research has revealed that myelin plays an important role for memory capacity.However,the myelin dynamics in AD brains remains unclear.In this study,we examined the myelin changes in the APP/PS1 mutant brains by immunostaining and transmission EM,and used the PLP-CreERt;mTomato/mGFP(mT/mG);APP/PS1 line to label and track pre existing myelin at the age of 4 months.Our results indicated that MBP expression was reduced in the 13-month old APP/PS1AD brains as compared to the age matched wild type brains.Chen Jingfei Liu Kun Wang Fei Li Ruixue Xiao Lan Mei Feng 2021解剖学杂志2021,44,S01:0

3Penile vascular anomalies:A retrospective single center study and cumulative analysis of studies from China显示文摘Objective Penile vascular anomalies(PVAs)or hemangioma can arouse patient concern about aesthetics and cause symptoms like bleeding and sexual dysfunction.However,its low incidence and the deficiency of large-volume studies hinder urologists from making informed decisions.This study aimed to investigate the clinical features and treatment experience of PVAs at the Seventh Medical Center of PLA General Hospital,Beijing,China.Furthermore,by systematically analysis of studies on PVAs in Chinese people,we aimed to provide novel insights on the management of this condition.Methods We retrospectively investigated clinical features and pathology of surgery-treated PVAs at our center.Moreover,by systemically reviewing the literature from PubMed and the three largest medical databases(China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wan Fang,and Chinese Medical Journal Database)in China,we analyzed the clinical features and various therapies of PVAs in Chinese people.Results Between March 1,2018 and March 1,2023,a total of 356 cases with vascular anomalies were treated with surgery at out center.Only seven(2.0%)cases had lesions involving the perineum and external genitalia.All the seven cases were pathologically benign and demonstrated no recurrence over a follow-up period of 1-52 months(median 14 months).A total of 410 cases from 44 studies were selected in the cumulative analysis.Most patients(92.4%)diagnosed with PVAs were asymptomatic,and 68.8%of the patients were treated with sclerotherapy.As to the pathology,57.1%were venous malformation.Conclusion The most common PVA is venous malformation and the majority of patients are asymptomatic.Sclerotherapy and laser have emerged as viable options for treating small lesions.Surgery still has its role in treating large lesions and obtaining pathology.Although PVAs often relapse or demand multiple treatments,the prognosis is favorable.Chong Ma Feng Gao Ran An Yawei Guan Jingfei Teng Xing Ai 2023Asian Journal of Urology2023,10,4:0
4Study on the Photodynamic Efficiency of Sodium Chlorophyllin from Spirulina显示文摘[Objectives] This study was conducted to investigate the photodynamic technology(PDT) of water-soluble sodium chlorophyllin extract from Spirulina and its photodynamic sterilization efficiency on Gram bacteria and photodynamic antitumor effect on rat glioma C6 cells. [Methods]The absorption spectrum and fluorescence spectrum of sodium chlorophyllin were measured by an ultraviolet spectrophotometer and a fluorescence spectrophotometer;the plate count method was used to investigate the photodynamic sterilization efficiency of sodium chlorophyllin on Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus;and the MTT method was used to determine the photodynamic antitumor effect of sodium chlorophyllin on rat glioma cell C6. [Results] The sterilization rates of sodium chlorophyllin with the 100 J/cm^2 photodynamic treatment were 98.96% 1.284 and 100% 0 on S. aureus and E. coli, respectively. The half maximal inhibitory concentration(IC50) of the sodium chlorophyllin photodynamic therapy with 5, 10 and 20 J/cm^2 on C6 were 69.9, 48.21 and 47.56 μg/ml respectively, and the dark toxicity was extremely low at 0 J/cm^2. [Conclusions]The photodynamic treatment mediated by the alcohol-extracted sodium chlorophyllin from Spirulina showed excellent inhibitory effects on bacteria and tumor cells.
