| 1 | Organochlorine pesticide and heavy metal residues in some edible biota collected from Quanzhou Bay and Xinghua Bay,Southeast China显示文摘In order to assess the contamination of edible marine organisms in Quanzhou and Xinghua Bays,Fujian Province,China,concentrations of organochlorine pesticides(hexachlorocyclohexane isomers or HCHs and dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane isomers/derivatives or DDTs) and heavy metals(Cu,Pb,Zn,As,Cr,Cd,Ni and Hg) in 13 species collected from different sites in the bays were analyzed by GC-ECD and ICP-MS.The concentration of the sum of DDTs exceeded that the sum of HCHs in the samples.Most of the organisms showed higher levels of DDTs than the first level criterion(10 ng/g) for marine biological quality in China(GB 18421-2001) but conformed to the first level criterion(20 ng/g) for HCHs.The estimated mean daily uptake of pesticides was below the level for minimal risk to the consumers.The levels of Cd,As and Pb in most organisms from both bays were markedly elevated and above the recommended legal limits for human consumption.Our results showed the need for routine monitoring of marine species contamination to ensure public and environmental health. | Mangala Yatawara Odhiambo Joshua Owago Julia E Burnet | 2010 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2010，22，2： | 7 |

| 3 | Sperm retrieval success and testicular histopathology in idiopathic nonobstructive azoospermia显示文摘Prior studies have investigated sperm retrieval rates in men with non obstructive azoospermia(NOA)secondary to specific etiologies,yet most cases of NOA are idiopathic.We compared sperm retrieval rates and testicular histopathology in idiopathic NOA(iNOA)and nonidiopathic NOA(niNOA).We performed a retrospective review of men with NOA who underwent microdissection testicular sperm extraction(microTESE)between 2000 and 2016.Men with no history of malignancy or cryptorchidism and negative genetic evaluation were considered idiopathic.Multivariable regression determined the association between idiopathic etiology and primary outcomes of sperm retrieval and active spermatogenesis on histopathology.Among 224 men,86(38.4%)were idiopathic,75(33.5%)were nonidiopathic,and 63(28.1%)did not undergo genetic testing.Median age and serum testosterone were higher among iNOA or no testing versus niNOA.Median follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)was lower among iNOA or no testing versus niNOA.A higher proportion of iNOA or no testing versus niNOA had a clinical varicocele.Sperm retrieval rates were similar between iNOA,niNOA,and no testing(41.8%vs 48.0%vs 55.6%,respectively;P=0.255).Active spermatogenesis was seen in a higher proportion of iNOA or no testing versus niNOA(31.4%and 27.0%vs 16.0%,P=0.073).On multivariable analysis,iNOA was not associated with sperm retrieval or spermatogenesis(P=0.430 and P=0.078,respectively).Rates of sperm retrieval and spermatogenesis on testis pathology were similar in men with iNOA and niNOA.These data will be useful to clinicians in preoperative counseling for men with NOA and negative genetic evaluation. | Arighno Das Joshua A Halpern Annie L Darves-Bornoz Mehul Patel James Wren Mary Kate Keeter Robert E Brannigan | 2020 | Asian Journal of Andrology2020，22，6： | 3 |

| 5 | Outcomes after arthroscopic repair of rotator cuff tears in the setting of mild to moderate glenohumeral osteoarthritis显示文摘BACKGROUND Rotator cuff pathology is a very common source of shoulder pain.Similarly,osteoarthritis of the glenohumeral joint can cause shoulder pain and produce similar symptoms.Surgical management can be indicated for both pathologies,however,outcomes data is limited when examining rotator cuff repair(RCR) in the setting of glenohumeral arthritis(GHOA).Thus,this study sought to determine outcomes for patients who undergo RCR in the setting of GHOA.AIM To evaluate if a relationship exists between outcomes of RCR in the setting of GHOA.METHODS This was a retrospective analysis of patients who underwent arthroscopic rotator cuff repair with concurrent glenohumeral osteoarthritis between 2010-2017.Patients were stratified based on rotator cuff tear size and glenohumeral osteoarthritis severity.Cohorts were paired 1:1 with patients without glenohumeral osteoarthritis.Patients included had a minimum two year follow-up.Rate of conversion to total shoulder arthroplasty,complication rates following initial surgery,and patient-reported outcome measures were collected.RESULTS A total of 142 patients were included.The number of patients that required total shoulder arthroplasty within two years after index surgery was low.2/71(2.8%) patients with GHOA,and 1/71(1.4%) without GHOA.Following rotator cuff repair,both groups showed favorable patientreported outcomes.CONCLUSION Patients with glenohumeral osteoarthritis who underwent arthroscopic rotator cuff repair showed comparable outcomes to patients without glenohumeral osteoarthritis. | Ian S Hong Allison J Rao Tyler L CarlLee Joshua D Meade Daniel J Hurwit Gregory Scarola David P Trofa Shadley C Schiffern Nady Hamid Patrick M Connor James E Fleischli Bryan Michael Saltzman | 2022 | World Journal of Orthopedics2022，13，7： | 2 |
