1天山北麓黄土环境磁学特征及其古气候意义显示文摘新疆黄土-古土壤序列环境磁学参数的变化机理及其气候意义仍存在争议.本文选择天山北麓的中梁黄土剖面,系统开展了低温和常温下环境磁学参数的测试与研究,测量包括室温的磁化率与饱和磁化强度,以及磁化率与饱和剩余磁化强度的低温变化.结果发现,该剖面黄土和古土壤样品的磁性矿物主要由磁铁矿与磁赤铁矿组成,不含任何粒级成壤形成的超顺磁矿物颗粒,其磁化率信号主要记录了粉尘磁性矿物含量变化,较高的磁化率指示较强的风动力状况或者较近的风尘源区,新疆黄土的这种环境磁学'风尘输入模式'可用来重建干旱区的风动力强弱变化.魏海涛 Subir K.Banerjee 夏敦胜 Michael J.Jackson 贾佳 陈发虎 2013地球物理学报2013,56,1:17
2Performance evaluation for selectivity of the flocculant on hematite in selective flocculation显示文摘Increased demand for iron ore necessitates the utilization of low-grade iron ore fines,slimes,and existing tailings.Selective flocculation can be an alternative physico-chemical process for utilizing these low-grade fines,slimes,and tailings.In selective flocculation,the most critical objective is the selection of proper reagents that will make floc of desired minerals.In present study,selective flocculation was applied to ultra-fine synthetic mixtures of hematite and kaolinite,and the Fe value was upgraded up to 65.78% with the reduction of Al2O3 and SiO2 values to 2.65% and 3.66%,respectively.Here,degraded wheat starch was used as a flocculant.In this process,separation occurs on the basis of the selectivity of the flocculant.The selectivity of the flocculant can be quantified in terms of separation effciency.Here,an attempt was also made to develop a correlation between separation effciency and major operating parameters such as flocculent dose,pH value,and solid concentration to predict the separation performance.Lopamudra Panda Pradip K.Banerjee Surendra Kumar Biswal R.Venugopal N.R.Mandre 2013International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2013,20,12:4

4The microscopic origin of DMI in magnetic bilayers and prediction of giant DMI in new bilayers显示文摘Skyrmions are widely regarded as promising candidates for emergent spintronic devices.Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction(DMI)is often critical to the generation and manipulation of skyrmions.However,there is a fundamental lack of understanding of the origin of DMI or the mechanism by which DMI generates skyrmions in magnetic bilayers.Very little is known of the material parameters that determine the value of DMI.This knowledge is vital for rational design of skyrmion materials and further development of skyrmion technology.To address this important problem,we investigate DMI in magnetic bilayers using first principles.We present a new theoretical model that explains the microscopic origin of DMI in magnetic bilayers.We demonstrate that DMI depends on two parameters,interfacial hybridization and orbital contributions of the heavy metal.Using these parameters,we explain the trend of DMI observed.We also report four new materials systems with giant DMI and new designs for magnetic multilayers that are expected to outperform the best materials known so far.Our results present a notably new understanding of DMI,uncover highly promising materials and put forth pathways for the controlled generation of skyrmions.Priyamvada Jadaun Leonard F.Register Sanjay K.Banerjee 2020npj Computational Materials2020,,1:1

6Comparison and integration of CuInGaSe and perovskite solar cells显示文摘The rapidly developing perovskite solar cells(PSCs) provide a new and promising choice of thin film solar cells due to their attractive attributes.Among the commercialized thin film solar cells,CuInGaSe(CIGS)cells demonstrate higher efficiency than amorphous Si photovoltaic devices and lower toxicity than CdTe cells.Therefore,a wide variety of studies have been conducted on them.Here,we elucidate CIGS materials and perovskites as absorber in thin film solar cells in terms of structure and optoelectronic properties.Furthermore,a comparison of PSCs and commercialized CIGS cells is made from the point of view of fabrication process,stability,and toxicity.In addition,the integration of CIGS devices and PSCs is elaborated based on tandem architecture.Finally,prospects for the advancement of CIGS cells and PSCs are discussed.Weiguang Chi Sanjay K.Banerjee 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,3:0
7Does friction contribute to formability improvement using servo press?显示文摘Servo press forming machines are advanced forming systems that are capable of imparting interrupted punch motion,resulting in enhanced room temperature formability.The exact mechanism of the formability improvement is not yet established.The contribution of interrupted motion in the ductility improvement has been studied through stress relaxation phenomena in uniaxial tensile(UT)tests.However,the reason for improved formability observed when employing servo press is complicated due to the additional contribution from frictional effects.In the present work,an attempt is made to decouple the friction effect on formability improvement numerically.The improved formability is studied using a hole expansion test(HET).The limit of forming during hole expansion is modeled using the Hosford–Coulomb(HC)damage criteria,which is implemented as a user subroutine in a commercial explicit finite element(FE)software.Only the contribution of stress relaxation is accounted for in the evolution of the damage variable during interrupted loading.Therefore,the difference between simulation and experimental hole expansion ratio(HER)can be used to decouple the friction effect from the overall formability improvement during hole expansion.The improvement in HER due to stress relaxation and friction effect is different.The study showed that the model effectively captures the hole expansion deformation process in both monotonic and interrupted loading conditions.Compared to stress relaxation,friction effect played a major role during interrupted HET.Kali PRASAD Aishwary GUPTA Hariharan KRISHNASWAMY Uday CHAKKINGAL Dilip K.BANERJEE Myoung-Gyu LEE 2023Friction2023,11,5:0
