2Daily UV-B treatments and elevated CO_(2)increases pigment concentrations and net photosynthesis of basil(Ocimum basilicum L.)显示文摘Anthropogenic emissions have greatly influenced UV-B radiation incidence and CO_(2)concentration globally.The interactive effects of projected incidence on crops by the end of the century need to be studied to understand the implications.The use of sunlit plant growth chambers in combination with UV-B radiation and CO_(2)treatments was used to identify the individual and interactive effects on basil'Genovese'plants.Treatments included 0 and 10 kJ m−2 d−1 UV-B supplementation at ambient(437 ppm)or elevated(725 ppm)CO_(2)concentrations.Effects of UV-B by CO_(2)interactions existed for net photosynthesis,light-adapted maximal quantum efficiency,all plant pigment concentrations,and malondialdehyde.UV-B increased leaf temperature by approximately 1°C while elevated CO_(2)concentrations amplified superoxide dismutase and ascorbate peroxidase activity in basil leaves.Despite deleterious impacts on plant health,UV-B radiation is essential for stimulating healthful compounds in basil.Understanding the effects when combined with elevated CO_(2)is necessary to improve crop production and future research.T.Casey Barickman Skyler R.Brazel Akanksha Sehgal Charles Hunt Walne K.Raja Reddy 2022Technology in Horticulture2022,2,1:0
3Heavy Metal Distribution in Sediments of Muthupettai Mangroves, South East Coast of India显示文摘Core sediments from the Muthupettai mangroves on the southeast coast of India were analyzed for soil texture,total nitrogen,organic carbon,phosphorus and heavy metals(Fe,Mn,Cr,Cu,Ni,Pb,Zn and Cd).The distinct seasonal variation in the distribution of metals in the sediments was observed.The minimum concentration was recorded in river mouth and the maximum was in lagoon.High metal concentration in sediment was observed during monsoon and low concentration in summer.The total nu-trient in lagoon and river mouth was recorded in the range of 4.528 to 8.526 mg g-1 for organic carbon,2.213 to 10.5 mg g-1 for nitro-gen and 0.824 to 7.22 mg g-1.B.Thilagavathi K.Raja Bandana Das A.Saravanakumar S.Vijayalakshmi T.Balasubramanian 2011Journal of Ocean University of China2011,10,4:0
4Medicinal Plant Using Ground State Stabilization of Natural Antioxidant Curcumin by Keto-Enol Tautomerisation显示文摘Curcumin is a medicinal agent that exhibits anti-cancer properties and bioactive pigment in Turmeric has a huge thera-peutic value.It has a keto-enol moiety that gives rise to many of its chemical properties.A recent study has shown thatketo-enol tautomerisation at this moiety is implicated the effect of curcumin.The tautomerisation of curcumin in methanol.acetone and acetonitrile are used in nuclear magnetic resonance(^(1)H,^(13)C)spectroscopy.It was characterized using UV,IRand Raman spectral values.The molecular electrostatic potential surface of the Curcumin has been visualized in elec-tropositive potential in the region of the CH^(3+) group and most electronegative potential in the two oxygen atom has verystrong binding group.In the following,the modality of structural and thermo dynamical parameters,electrophilicity(ω).chemical potential(μ),chemical hardness(η) and electronic charge transfer confirms the local reactivity.The rate constantof tautomerisation of curcumin shows strong temperature dependence.Molecular electrostatic potential and Temperature dependence of various thermodynamic properties like(C^(0)_(p,m),S^(0)_(m),and H^(0)_(m))is increase with increase in temperature formonomer and dimer of various electrical fields.S.Manimaran K.Sambath Kumar R.Gayathri K.Raja N.Rajkamal M.Venkatachalapathy G.Ravichandran C.Lourdu EdisonRaj 2018Natural Products and Bioprospecting2018,8,5:0
