| 1 | Synergistic antitumor activity of sorafenib and artesunate in hepatocellular carcinoma cells显示文摘Sorafenib is currently the standard chemotherapy drug for treatment of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).But its efficacy requires improvement,it is imperative to seek therapeutic strategies that combine sorafenib with other anticancer agents.In this study we investigated the synergistic anticancer effect of combining sorafenib and artesunate,an anti-malaria drug derivative,against HCC in vitro and in vivo.We first showed that artesunate(1–100μM)alone dose-dependently inhibited the proliferation of five HCC cell lines tested with IC50 values of around 100μM.Artesunate treatment dose-dependently increased the ROS level in both HuH7 and Hep3B cells;addition of NAC significantly ameliorated the antiproliferation effect of artesunate against HuH7 and Hep3B cells.Then we demonstrated that combination of sorafenib and artesunate exerted synergistic antiproliferation effect and induced synergistic apoptosis in HCC cell lines.In nude mice bearing Hep3B xenografts,combined administration of sorafenib and artesunate significantly enhanced the suppression on tumor growth.We further revealed that sorafenib dose-dependently decreased the levels of p-ERK and p-STAT3,whereas artesunate markedly increased the levels of p-ERK and p-STAT3 in HuH7 and Hep3B cells.When used in combination,sorafenib abolished artesunate-elevated levels of p-STAT3 and p-ERK.Moreover,pharmacological inhibition of ERK by inhibitor PD0325901 or STAT3 by inhibitor Stattic markedly enhanced the anticancer activity of artesunate,suggesting that suppression of ERK and STAT3 signaling by sorafenib contributes to the synergistic anticancer activity against HCC caused by combination of sorafenib and artesunate.Taken together,our results provide an evidence for possible use of sorafenib plus artesunate or artemisinin analogs for treatment of HCC in the future. | Xu Yao Chen-ru Zhao Hao Yin KeWei Wang Jian-jun Gao | 2020 | Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2020,41,12: | 7 |
| 2 | The structural,electronic and magnetic properties of the 3d TM(V,Cr,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni and Cu) doped ZnO nanotubes:A first-principles study显示文摘We have performed the first-principles calculations onto the structural,electronic and magnetic properties of seven 3d transition-metal(TM=V,Cr,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni and Cu) atom substituting cation Zn in both zigzag(10,0) and armchair(6,6) zinc oxide nanotubes(ZnONTs).The results show that there exists a structural distortion around 3d TM impurities with respect to the pristine ZnONTs.The magnetic moment increases for V-,Cr-doped ZnONTs and reaches maximum for Mn-doped ZnONTs,and then decreases for Fe-,Co-,Ni-and Cu-doped ZnONTs successively,which is consistent with the predicted trend of Hund's rule for maximizing the magnetic moments of the doped TM ions.However,the values of the magnetic moments are smaller than the predicted values of Hund's rule due to strong hybridization between p orbitals of the nearest neighbor O atoms of ZnONTs and d orbitals of the TM atoms.Furthermore,the Mn-,Fe-,Co-,Cu-doped(10,0) and(6,6) ZnONTs with half-metal and thus 100% spin polarization characters seem to be good candidates for spintronic applications. | ZHANG JianMin GAO Dan XU KeWei | 2012 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,3: | 5 |

| 5 | Mechanism of protective film formation during CO_2 corrosion of X65 pipeline steel显示文摘Electrochemical techniques, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were applied to study the corrosion behaviors of X65 steel in static solution with carbon dioxide (CO2) at 65°C. The results show that iron carbonate (FeCO3) deposits on the steel surface as a corrosion product scale. This iron carbonate scale acts as a barrier to CO2 corrosion, and can reduce the general corrosion rate. The passive film or dealloyed layer formed during corrosion or SCC can induce a large tensile stress,which can assist the applied stress to enhance dislocation emission and motion, and then SCC occurs. Experiments show that the variation of SCC susceptibility of brass, α-Ti and stainless steel with the applied potential and pH value of the solution is consistent with that of the corrosion-induced additive stress. | 10 | Initiating,growing and cracking of hydrogen blisters显示文摘The growing process of a hydrogen blister in a wheel steel was observed in situ with an optical microscope, and the fracture surfaces formed from broken blisters on a wheel steel and bulk metallic glass were investigated. The initiating, growing, cracking and breaking of hydrogen blis-ters are as follows. Supersaturated vacancies can increase greatly during charging and gather together into a vacancy cluster (small cavity). Hydrogen atoms become hydrogen molecules in the vacancy cluster and hydrogen molecules can stabilize the vacancy cluster. The small cavity becomes the nucleus of hydrogen blister. The blister will grow with enter-ing of vacancies and hydrogen atoms. With increasing hy-drogen pressure, plastic deformation occurs first, the hydro-gen blister near the surface extrudes, and then cracks initiate along the wall of the blister with further increasing hydrogen pressure. | 19 | Mg-based inorganic nanofibers constructing fast and multi-dimensional ion conductive pathways for all-solid-state lithium metal batteries显示文摘Solid-state electrolytes(SSEs),which replace flammable and toxic liquid electrolytes,have attracted widely attention.However,there exist still some challenges in actual application such as poor interfacial compatibility and slow ionic migration.In this study,Mg O nanofibers and MgF;nanofibers were prepared via the electro-blow spinning and high-temperature calcination methods,and were applied to all-solid-state lithium metal batteries for the first time.The organic-inorganic composite SSEs exhibited continuous conduction paths based on the virtue of the nanofibers with high length-to-diameter ratio,which were designed and prepared by mixing prepared fillers into the poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)/lithium bis(trifluoromethane)sulfonilimide(Li TFSI)system.The effect of filler with different morphologies,doping ratios and component on ionic conductivity,electrochemical stability and cycle performance were explored under two kinds of[EO]/[Li^(+)]ratios and ambient temperatures.The ionic conductivities of electrolytes containing Mg O and MgF;nanofibers can reach up to 1.19×10^(-4) and 1.39×10^(-4) S cm^(-1) at 30℃,respectively.They were attributed to specific ionic conductive enhancement at the organicinorganic interface,reduced crystallinity and Lewis acid interaction,which can effectively promote the dissociation of the lithium salts.Especially MgF_(2) nanofiber,combining low electronic conductance,excellent electrochemical stability and outstanding inhibition for lithium dendrites of fluorides,endowed the battery with an initial specific capacity of 140.6 m Ah g^(-1) and capacity decay rate per cycle of 0.055%after500 cycles at 50℃.The work can provide an idea to design SSE with fast and multi-dimensional Li conductive paths and excellent interfacial compatibility. | Wen Yu Nanping Deng Zirui Yan Lu Gao Kewei Cheng Xiaohui Tian Lin Tang Bowen Cheng Weimin Kang | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,4: | 1 |
