1Hybrid optimization algorithm based on chaos,cloud and particle swarm optimization algorithm显示文摘As for the drop of particle diversity and the slow convergent speed of particle in the late evolution period when particle swarm optimization(PSO) is applied to solve high-dimensional multi-modal functions,a hybrid optimization algorithm based on the cat mapping,the cloud model and PSO is proposed.While the PSO algorithm evolves a certain of generations,this algorithm applies the cat mapping to implement global disturbance of the poorer individuals,and employs the cloud model to execute local search of the better individuals;accordingly,the obtained best individuals form a new swarm.For this new swarm,the evolution operation is maintained with the PSO algorithm,using the parameter of pop distr to balance the global and local search capacity of the algorithm,as well as,adopting the parameter of mix gen to control mixing times of the algorithm.The comparative analysis is carried out on the basis of 4 functions and other algorithms.It indicates that this algorithm shows faster convergent speed and better solving precision for solving functions particularly those high-dimensional multi-modal functions.Finally,the suggested values are proposed for parameters pop distr and mix gen applied to different dimension functions via the comparative analysis of parameters.Mingwei Li Haigui Kang Pengfei Zhou Weichiang Hong 2013Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2013,24,2:29
2Solving generalized lattice Boltzmann model for 3-D cavity flows using CUDA-GPU显示文摘The generalized lattice Boltzmann equation(GLBE),with the addition of the standard Smagorinsky subgrid-stress(SGS) model,has been proved that it is more suitable for simulating high Reynolds number turbulent flows when compared with the lattice BGK Boltzmann equation(LBGK).However,the computing efficiency of lattice Boltzmann method(LBM) is too low to make it for practical applications,unless using a massive parallel computing clusters facility.In this study,the massive parallel computing power from an inexpensive graphic processor unit(GPU) and a typical personal computer has been developed for improving the computing efficiency,more than 100 times.This developed three-dimensional(3-D) GLBE-SGS model,with the D3Q19 scheme for simplifying collision and streaming courses,has been successfully used to study 3-D rectangular cavity flows with Reynolds number up to 10000.LI ChengGong MAA Jerome P.-Y KANG HaiGui 2012Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,10:7
3An experimental and numerical study of the freak wave speed显示文摘The propagation speed is one of the most important characteristics for describing freak waves. The research of freak wave speed is not only helpful for understanding the generation mechanism and evolution process of freak waves, but also applicable to the prediction. A stable and accurate method is proposed for the calculation of the freak wave speed, in which physical model tests are carried out to measure the motion of the largest wave crest along the wave tank. The linear regression relationship between the spatial position of the largest wave crest and instantaneous moment is established to calculate the speed of totally 248 cases of experimental freak waves and 312 supplementary cases of numerical freak waves. 4Wave-Current Forces on Slender Circular Cylinders显示文摘- A series model tests of wave forces by both regular and irregular waves combined with currents on single piles and bipiles in tandem and parallel arrays have been carried out. Based on Morison Equation, linear wave theory and linear wave spectrum theory as well, the characteristics of inline, lift and resultant forces on cylinders have been analyzed respectively. 5Efficient computation method for two-dimensional nonlinear waves显示文摘The theory and simulation of fully-nonlinear waves in a truncated two-dimensional wave tank in time domain are presented. A piston-type wave-maker is used to generate gravity waves into the tank field in finite water depth. A damping zone is added in front of the wave-maker which makes it become one kind of absorbing wave-maker and ensures the prescribed Neumann condition. The efficiency of numerical tank is further enhanced by installation of a sponge layer beach (SLB) in front of downtank to absorb longer weak waves that leak through the entire wave train front. Assume potential flow, the space- periodic irrotational surface waves can be represented by mixed Euler-lagrange particles Solving the integral equation at each time step for new normal velocities, the instantaneous free surface is integrated following time history by use of fourth-order Runge- Kutta method. The double node technique is used to deal with geometric discontinuity at the wave- body intersections. Several precise smoothing methods have been introduced to treat surface point with high curvature. No saw-tooth like instability is observed during the total simulation. The advantage of proposed wave tank has been verified by comparing with linear theoretical solution and other nonlinear results, excellent agreement in the whole range of frequencies of interest has been obtained.Wang Ke ,Kang Haigui (1. 7Effect of Loading Condition and Temperature on Dynamic Properties of Asphalt Mixtures显示文摘In order to study the effects of loading condition and temperature on the dynamic properties of asphalt mixtures, the dynamic loading tests on different loading condition (various speeds and loads under a certain roughness) and temperature conditions were performed. 15Hydrodynamic Forces on Smooth Inclined Cyh'nders in Oscillatory Flow显示文摘-The hydrodynamic forces on a smooth inclined circular cylinder exposed to oscillating flow were experimentally investigated at Reynolds number (Re) in the range 40000-200000 and Keulegan-Capenter number (KC) in the interval from 5-40. In the test, Re number and KC number were varied systematically. The inertia force coefficient (Cu) and the drag force coefficient (CD) in Morison equation were determined from the measured loads and the water particle kinematics. In this analysis a modified form of Morison equation was used since it uses the normal velocity and acceleration. Thus, the applicability of the Cross Flow Principle was assumed. This principle, simply stated, is as follows: the force acting in the direction normal to the axis of a cylinder placed at some oblique angle with the direction of flow is expressed in terms of the normal component of flow only, and the axial component is disregarded.
