1Surface Active Sites on Co_(3)O_(4) Nanobelt and Nanocube Model Catalysts for CO Oxidation显示文摘CO oxidation has been performed on Co_(3)O_(4) nanobelts and nanocubes as model catalysts.The Co_(3)O_(4) nanobelts which have a predominance of exposed{011}planes are more active than Co_(3)O_(4) nanocubes with exposed{001}planes.Temperature programmed reduction of CO shows that Co_(3)O_(4) nanobelts have stronger reducing properties than Co_(3)O_(4) nanocubes.The essence of shape and crystal plane effect is revealed by the fact that turnover frequency of Co3+sites of{011}planes on Co_(3)O_(4) nanobelts is far higher than that of{001}planes on Co_(3)O_(4) nanocubes.Linhua Hu Keqiang Sun Qing Peng Boqing Xu Yadong Li 2010Nano Research2010,3,5:21

3Improvement of oxytetracycline production mediated via cooperation of resistance genes in Streptomyces rimosus显示文摘Increasing the self-resistance levels of Streptomyces is an effective strategy to improve the production of antibiotics.To increase the oxytetracycline(OTC) production in Streptomyces rimosus,we investigated the cooperative effect of three co-overexpressing OTC resistance genes:one gene encodes a ribosomal protection protein(otrA) and the other two express efflux proteins(otrB and otrC).Results indicated that combinational overexpression of otrA,otrB,and otrC(MKABC) exerted a synergetic effect.OTC production increased by 179%in the recombinant strain compared with that of the wild-type strain M4018.The resistance level to OTC was increased by approximately two-fold relative to the parental strain,thereby indicating that applying the cooperative effect of self-resistance genes is useful to improve OTC production.Furthermore,the previously identified cluster-situated activator OtcR was overexpressed in MKABC in constructing the recombinant strain MKRABC;such strain can produce OTC of approximately7.49 g L^((-1)),which represents an increase of 19%in comparison with that of the OtcR-overexpressing strain alone.Our work showed that the cooperative overexpression of self-resistance genes is a promising strategy to enhance the antibiotics production in Streptomyces.Shouliang Yin Xuefeng Wang Mingxin Shi Fang Yuan Huizhuan Wang Xiaole Jia Fang Yuan Jinliang Sun Tiejun Liu Keqian Yang Yuxiu Zhang Keqiang Fan Zilong Li 2017Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,9:10
4Adaptive fuzzy sliding mode control for coordinated longitudinal and lateral motions of multiple autonomous vehicles in a platoon显示文摘In this paper, the platoon control problem of autonomous vehicles in highway is studied. Since the autonomous vehicles have the characteristics of nonlinearities, external disturbances and strong coupling, a novel adaptive fuzzy sliding coordinated control system is constructed to supervise the longitudinal and lateral motions of autonomous vehicles, in which the fuzzy system is employed to approximate the unknown nonlinear functions. Due to the low sensitivity to disturbances and plant parameter variations, the proposed control approach is an efficient way to handle with the complex dynamic plants operating under un-certainty conditions. The asymptotic stability of adaptive coordinated platoon close-loop control system is verified based on the Lyapunov stability theory. The results indicate that the presented adaptive coordinated platoon control approach can accurately achieve the tracking performance and ensures the stability and riding comfort of autonomous vehicles in a platoon. 5How freezing and thawing processes affect black-soil aggregate stability in northeastern China显示文摘Laboratory experiments were carried out to investigate the effect of freezing and thawing processes on wet aggregate stability (WAS) of black soil. Wet aggregate stability was determined by different aggregate size groups, different water contents, various freeze-thaw cycles, and various freezing temperatures. The results showed that, when at suitable water content, aggregate stability was enhanced, aggregate sta-bility will be disrupted when moisture content is too high or too low, especially higher water content. Temperature also had a significant ef-fect, but moisture content determined the suitable freezing temperatures for a given soil. Water-stable aggregate (WSA>0.5), the total aggre-gate content, and mean weight diameter decreasing with the freeze-thaw cycles increase, reached to 5 percent significance level. 6Calculation methodology of marine environmental capacity for heavy metal:A case study in Jiaozhou Bay,China显示文摘Results from past pollution control practices show that environmental quality can be ensured by controlling the actual amount of pollutants formed in the environment.Therefore,the marine environmental capacity for heavy metals was introduced.Marine environmental capacity for heavy metals is defined as the maximum amount of heavy metals permitted in the marine environment system to preserve the benign cycle of materials in the oceansphere,and to limit the adverse effects of heavy metals on the biosphere,hydrosphere,atmosphere,and lithosphere.Based on the box or three-dimensional model in the target coastal region,including the self-purification and output of heavy metals,the marine environmental capacity for heavy metals can be calculated within a given criterion and time.In this study,a method was proposed to calculate the marine environmental capacity for heavy metals which includes four steps:(1) gathering the basis information of target coastal ecosystem,(2) selection of water control points and water quality criteria for these points,(3) development of numerical models for the biogeochemical cycling of heavy metals in target coastal region,and(4) calculation of environmental capacity using the developed model.According to the proposed method,the marine environmental capacity for lead is approximately 60 tons per year if Grade I seawater quality is set as the control criterion in Jiaozhou Bay.An effective seawater quality management plan can also be framed based on the environmental capacity for metals.LI KeQiang WANG XiuLin 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,2:7
7The Expression of Manganese Superoxide Dismutase Gene from Nelumbo nucifera Responds Strongly to Chilling and Oxidative Stresses显示文摘A manganese superoxide dismutase(Mn-SOD) gene,NnMSD1,was identified from embryonic axes of the sacred lotus(Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn.) . The NnMSD1 protein contains all conserved residues of the Mn-SOD protein family,including four consensus metal binding domains and a signal peptide for mitochondrial targeting. Southern blot analysis suggests the existence of two Mn-SOD genes in sacred lotus. NnMSD1 was highly expressed in developing embryonic axes during seed development,but appeared in cotyledons only at the early stage of development and became undetectable in the cotyledons during late embryogenesis. The expression of the NnMSD1 gene in germinating embryonic axes,in response to various stresses such as heat shock,chilling,and exposure to stress-related chemicals,was also studied. Heat shock strongly inhibited the expression of the NnMSD1 gene,whereas the NnMSD1 transcript level increased strongly in chilling stress treatment. An increase in expression was also highly induced by H2O2 in germinating embryonic axes. 8Predictive cruise control for heavy trucks based on slope information under cloud control system显示文摘With the advantage of fast calculation and map resources on cloud control system(CCS), cloud-based predictive cruise control(CPCC) for heavy trucks has great potential to improve energy efficiency, which is significant to achieve the goal of national carbon neutrality. However, most investigations focus on the on-board predictive cruise control(PCC) system,lack of research on CPCC architecture under CCS. Besides, the current PCC algorithms have the problems of a single control target and high computational complexity, which hinders the improvement of the control effect. In this paper, a layered architecture based on CCS is proposed to effectively address the realtime computing of CPCC system and the deployment of its algorithm on vehicle-cloud. In addition, based on the dynamic programming principle and the proposed road point segmentation method(RPSM), a PCC algorithm is designed to optimize the speed and gear of heavy trucks with slope information. Simulation results show that the CPCC system can adaptively control vehicle driving through the slope prediction, with fuel-saving rate of 6.17% in comparison with the constant cruise control. Also,compared with other similar algorithms, the PCC algorithm can make the engine operate more in the efficient zone by cooperatively optimizing the gear and speed. 9Application of digital pattern-less molding technology to produce art casting显示文摘Compared with the conventional casting process, digital pattern-less casting technology has many advantages such as good machining accuracy, a short processing cycle, and low production cost. It is a new rapid manufacturing technology for castings, integrated with CAD/CAM, casting, CNC machining and many other advanced technologies. With this digital casting technology, no pattern is needed for making molds; it is precise, f lexible, and green. Usually, art castings have complex structures and are made in small batches or even made in a single-piece, especially for large-sized art castings. So it has the shortcomings of high cost, low eff iciency and long time for making a pattern to produce art castings with the conventional casting processes. However, the digital pattern-less casting technology can be applied to fabricate art castings, since it can greatly shorten the manufacturing cycle and lower the production cost, thus having a very good prospect. 10A nitrogen and phosphorus dynamic model of mesocosm pelagic ecosystem in the Jiaozhou Bay in China显示文摘A nitrogen and phosphorus dynamic model of mesocosm pelagic ecosystem was established according to the summary and synthesis of the models available,in which seven state variables (DIN,PO4-P,DON,DOP,phytoplankton,zooplankton and detritus) were included. Logically it had five modules-phytoplankton,zooplankton,dissolved inorganic nutrients,dissolved organic nutrients and detritus. The results showed that this model could simulate the variations of DIN,PO4-P,DON,DOP,POC and phytoplankton biomass in pelagic ecosystem in mesocosm properly,based on the site experiment data in the Jiaozhou Bay in the autumn of 1999 and the summer of 2000. Not only the logical structure but also the model parameters were feasible,and about 20 parameters were made to fit for the Jiaozhou Bay during the simulation. 11Effects of Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii extracts on gamma-aminobutyric acid type A receptor alpha 1 subunit brain expression during development in a recurrent seizure rat model显示文摘Extracts from Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii (Grassleaf Sweetflag Rhizome,Shichangpu) have been shown to improve learning and memory,reduce anxiety,allay excitement,and suppress seizures.Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii extracts interact with γ-aminobutyric acid and activate the γ-aminobutyric acid type A receptor,although few studies have addressed the precise effects of γ-aminobutyric acid type A receptor α1 subunit.In the present study,γ-aminobutyric acid type A receptor α1 subunit protein expression in the cerebral cortex and hippocampus,and pathological scores of brain injury,were significantly greater following recurrent seizures,but significantly decreased following treatment with Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii extracts.These results indicated that Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii extracts down-regulated γ-aminobutyric acid type A receptor α1 subunit protein expression in the cerebral cortex and hippocampus and protected seizure-induced brain injury during development.Liqun Liu Ding'an Mao Keqiang Chi Xingfang Li Tao Bo Jinming Guo Zhuwen Yi 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,6:4

13Cooperative Lane-Change Maneuver for Multiple Automated Vehicles on a Highway显示文摘With the development of vehicle-to-vehicle(V2V)communication,it is possible to share information among multiple vehicles.However,the existing research on automated lane changes concentrates only on the single-vehicle lane change with self-detective information.Cooperative lane changes are still a new area with more complicated scenarios and can improve safety and lane-change efficiency.Therefore,a multi-vehicle cooperative automated lane-change maneuver based on V2V communication for scenarios of eight vehicles on three lanes was proposed.In these scenarios,same-direction and intersectant-direction cooperative lane changes were defined.The vehicle that made the cooperative decision obtained the information of surrounding vehicles that were used to cooperatively plan the trajectories,which was called cooperative trajectory planning.The cooperative safety spacing model was proposed to guarantee and improve the safety of all vehicles,and it essentially developed constraints for the trajectory-planning task.Trajectory planning was treated as an optimization problem with the objective of maximizing safety,comfort,and lane-change efficiency under the constraints of vehicle dynamics and the aforementioned safety spacing model.Trajectory tracking based on a model predictive control method was designed to minimize tracking errors and control increments.Finally,to verify the validity of the proposed maneuver,an integrated simulation platform combining MATLAB/Simulink with CarSim was established.Moreover,a hardware-in-the-loop test bench was performed for further verification.The results indicated that the proposed multi-vehicle cooperative automated lane-change maneuver can achieve lane changes of multiple vehicles and increase lane-change efficiency while guaranteeing safety and comfort.Yugong Luo Gang Yang Mingchang Xu Zhaobo Qin Keqiang Li 2019Automotive Innovation2019,2,3:3

16Towards the Unified Principles for Level 5 Autonomous Vehicles显示文摘The rapid advance of autonomous vehicles(AVs)has motivated new perspectives and potential challenges for existing modes of transportation.Currently,driving assistance systems of Level 3 and below have been widely produced,and several applications of Level 4 systems to specific situations have also been gradually developed.By improving the automation level and vehicle intelligence,these systems can be further advanced towards fully autonomous driving.However,general development concepts for Level 5 AVs remain unclear,and the existing methods employed in the development processes of Levels 0-4 have been mainly based on task-driven function development related to specific scenarios.Therefore,it is difficult to identify the problems encountered by high-level AVs.The essential logical and physical mechanisms of vehicles have hindered further progression towards Level 5 systems.By exploring the physical mechanisms behind high-level autonomous driving systems and analyzing the essence of driving,we put forward a coordinated and balanced framework based on the brain-cerebellum-organ concept through reasoning and deduction.Based on a mixed mode relying on the crow inference and parrot imitation approach,we explore the research paradigm of autonomous learning and prior knowledge to realize the characteristics of self-learning,self-adaptation,and self-transcendence for AVs.From a systematic,unified,and balanced point of view and based on least action principles and unified safety field concepts,we aim to provide a novel research concept and develop an effective approach for the research and development of high-level AVs,specifically at Level 5.Jianqiang Wang Heye Huang Keqiang Li Jun Li 2021Engineering2021,7,9:3
17Environmental Capacity of Petroleum Hydrocarbon Pollutants in Jiaozhou Bay, China: Modeling and Calculation显示文摘An environmental capacity model for the petroleum hydrocarbon pollutions (PHs) in Jiaozhou Bay is constructed based on field surveys, mesocosm, and parallel laboratory experiments. Simulated results of PHs seasonal successions in 2003 match the field surveys of Jiaozhou Bay resaonably well with a highest value in July. The Monte Carlo analysis confirms that the variation of PHs concentration significantly correlates with the river input. The water body in the bay is reasonably subjected to self-purification processes, such as volatilization to the atmosphere, biodegradation by microorganism, and transport to the Yellow Sea by water exchange. The environmental capacity of PHs in Jiaozhou Bay is 1500 tons per year IF the seawater quality criterion (Grade Ⅰ/Ⅱ, 0.05 mgL-1) in the region is to be satisfied. 19Modelling Nitrogen and Phosphorus Dynamics in a Mesocosm Pelagic Ecosystem in Laizhou Bay in China显示文摘A model of nitrogen and phosphorus dynamics in mesocosm experiments was established on the basis of a summary and synthesis of the existing models. The established model comprised seven state variables(DIN,PO4-P,DON,DOP,phytoplankton,zooplankton and detritus) and five modules - phytoplankton,zooplankton,dissolved inorganic nutrients,dissolved organic nutrients and detritus. Comparison with the in situ experimental data in Laizhou Bay at the end of August 2002 showed that this model could properly simulate the variations of DIN,PO4-P,and phytoplankton biomass in a mesocosm pelagic ecosystem. It was found that not only the model structure but also the parameters adopted were fit for simulation. The sensitivity of the main state variables to the parameter change was assessed by sensitivity analysis. 20Neural-Fuzzy-Based Adaptive Sliding Mode Automatic Steering Control of Vision-based Unmanned Electric Vehicles显示文摘This paper presents a novel neural-fuzzy-based adaptive sliding mode automatic steering control strategy to improve the driving performance of vision-based unmanned electric vehicles with time-varying and uncertain parameters.Primarily,the kinematic and dynamic models which accurately express the steering behaviors of vehicles are constructed,and in which the relationship between the look-ahead time and vehicle velocity is revealed.Then,in order to overcome the external disturbances,parametric uncertainties and time-varying features of vehicles,a neural-fuzzy-based adaptive sliding mode automatic steering controller is proposed to supervise the lateral dynamic behavior of unmanned electric vehicles,which includes an equivalent control law and an adaptive variable structure control law.In this novel automatic steering control system of vehicles,a neural network system is utilized for approximating the switching control gain of variable structure control law,and a fuzzy inference system is presented to adjust the thickness of boundary layer in real-time.The stability of closed-loop neural-fuzzy-based adaptive sliding mode automatic steering control system is proven using the Lyapunov theory.Finally,the results illustrate that the presented control scheme has the excellent properties in term of error convergence and robustness.Jinghua Guo Keqiang Li Jingjing Fan Yugong Luo Jingyao Wang 2021Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,5:2
