2Modeling and prediction of ultrasonic attenuations in liquid-solid dispersions containing mixed particles with Monte Carlo method显示文摘We develop a theoretical model for predicting the ultrasonic attenuation in the liquid-solid system containing mixed particles. The ultrasonic attenuation coefficient is obtained by counting the number of phonons that reach the receiver. Using the Monte Carlo method (MCM), numerical simulations were performed to predict the ultrasonic attenuations with not only a single particle type but also monodisperse and polydisperse mixed particles. The simulation results for the systems with a single particle type were compared with various standard models. The results show that they agree well at relatively low particle volume concentrations (within 10%). For systems with mixed particles, the particle volume concentrati on was found to in crease to around 10%, and the variation of the ultrasonic attenuation agai nst the mixing ratio yields a nonlinear trend. Moreover, the ultrasonic attenuation is significantly affected by particle properties. 4Polymorphisms of chemokine receptors and its ligand alleles influencing genetic suscepti-bity to HIV-1 infection in eight ethnic groups in Chinese mainland显示文摘Limited genetic information is available concerning the polymorphisms of HIV-1 resistant genes in indigenous Chinese populations. The aim of this study is to identify the allelic frequencies of the chemokine and chemokine receptor genes in the Chinese mainland. Genomic DNA samples extracted from whole blood of 2318 subjects were analyzed by using PCR or PCR/restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) assays, and further confirmed by direct DNA sequencing. Higher frequencies of mutant CCR2-64I (19.15%-28.79%) and SDF1-3’A (19.10% -29.86%) alleles were found in subjects of 8 ethnic groups in the Chinese mainland. In contrast, the △32 mutation in CCRS gene occurs at a very low frequency (0.0016, n=1287) in Han population. A relatively high frequency of CCR5-wt/△32 heterozygotes was observed in Uygurian and Mongolian populations. No A32 mutation allele was detected in Tibetan and other 4 ethnic groups in Yunnan Province. 5Effect of controlled low central venous pressure on renal function in major liver resection显示文摘Objective: To investigate the effects of low central venous pressure (LVCP) on blood loss and evaluate its influ- ence on renal function in patients undergoing hepatectomy. Methods: Forty-six patients, ASA classification I–III, undergoing liver resection were randomized into LCVP group (n = 23) and control group (n = 23). In LCVP group, CVP was maintained at 2–4 mmHg and MBP above 60 mmHg during hepatectomy, while in control group hepatectomy was performed routinely without lowering CVP. Volume of blood loss during hepatectomy, volume of blood transfusion, and changes of renal functions were compared between the two groups. Results: There were no significant differences in demographics, ASA score, type of hepatectomy, duration of inflow occlusion, operation time, weight of resected liver tissues, and renal functions between the two groups. LCVP group had a significantly lower volume of total intraoperative blood loss (P < 0.01) and RBC transfusion (P < 0.05). 6A NEW ALGORITHM OF RELAXATION METHOD FOR PARTICLE ANALYSIS FROM FORWARD SCATTERED LIGHT显示文摘A new algorithm of the relaxation method is developed for the inversion of forward scattered light to obtain the size distribution of spherical particles. Numerical tests are performed for a laser particle analyzer using the Mie theory and the diffraction approximation. The algorithm efficiency, in the presence of experimental noises, is studied. 7Abrasive wear behavior of PTFE for seal applications under abrasive-atmosphere sliding condition显示文摘Abrasive wear is a common failure phenomenon that often limits the service life of sealing elements. Evaluation and comparison of the abrasion resistance of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) were conducted using Al2O3particleswithsizesintherange5to200 μmonapin-on-flattribo-testerunderdryreciprocatingsliding conditions at room temperature. Based on the examined worn surface characteristics of both PTFE and 316L stainless steel (as a counterpart) and the analyzed coefficient of friction (COF) evolutions, the wear mechanism and particle size effect have been explored in detail. The results demonstrate that the abrasive size is the main contributing factor, which can drastically impact the wear mechanism and tribological properties of tribo-pairs. The COF exhibits different evolution characteristics (trends) for different abrasive sizes. For moderate particle sizes, the COF trends become more complicated and the most evident wear of the metallic counterpart is evident. The activity behaviors of abrasives are dominated by the particle size. Particles can becomes embedded in one of the tribo-pair materials to plough-cut the counterpart, thus causing two-body abrasive wear. The abrasives can also behave as free rolling bodies, which play the role of third body to realize three-body 'PTFE-abrasive-316L'abrasion. When abrasives are involved in the wear process, both the wear rate and COF of the metallic counterpart increase, but the material removal rate of the PTFE is reduced. 8In-situ study on hydrogen bubble evolution in the liquid Al/solid Ni interconnection by synchrotron radiation X-ray radiography显示文摘Synchrotron X-ray radiography was used to carry out an in-situ observation of the hydrogen bubble evolution in the liquid Al/solid Ni interconnection. The individual bubble mainly grows in a stochastic way during heating. The size distribution for groups of bubbles follows a Gaussian distribution in the early stage and Lifshitz-Slyozov-Wagner(LSW) diffusion controlled distribution in the final stage. The intermetallic compounds(IMCs) first form during solidification, following by the hydrogen bubbles. The bubbles between two adjacent Al3Ni grains grow unidirectionally along the liquid channel, with the bottom being impeded by the Al3Ni phase and the radius of the growth front being smaller. 9Investigation on Centrifugal Impeller in an Axial-radial Combined Compressor with Inlet Distortion显示文摘Assembling an axial rotor and a stator at centrifugal compressor upstream to build an axial-radial combined compressor could achieve high pressure ratio and efficiency by appropriate size augment.Then upstream potential flow and wake effect appear at centrifugal impeller inlet.In this paper,the axial-radial compressor is unsteadily simulated by three-dimensional Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations with uniform and circumferential distorted total pressure inlet condition to investigate upstream effect on radial rotor.The results show that spanwise nonuniform total pressure distribution is generated and radial and circumferential combined distortion is formed at centrifugal rotor inlet.The upstream stator wake deflects to rotor rotation direction and decreases with blade span increases.Circumferential distortion causes different separated flow formations at different pitch positions.The tip leakage vortex is suppressed in centrifugal blade passages.Under distorted inlet condition,flow direction of centrifugal impeller leading edge upstream varies evidently near hub and shroud but varies slightly at mid-span.In addition,compressor stage inlet distortion produces remarkable effect on blade loading of centrifugal blade both along chordwise and pitchwise.Du Li Ce Yang Ben Zhao Mi Zhou Mingxu Qi Jizhong Zhang 2011Journal of Thermal Science2011,20,6:3
101980~2050年大气沉降导致中国森林土壤酸化显示文摘稳定的土壤pH对维持生态系统的结构和功能至关重要.中国是酸沉降最严重的区域,长期高剂量的酸沉降可能将导致土壤pH显著降低,甚至造成严重的区域生态环境问题.然而,目前有关酸沉降对中国森林土壤酸化的影响还未见报道.本文利用土壤酸化过程模型结合长期监测的大气沉降、植物-土壤养分含量数据、社会发展、气候和污染控制情景,评估并预测1980~2050年间大气沉降导致的森林土壤酸化趋势.结果表明:1980~2019年,表层土壤pH和碱基饱和度分别平均下降0.56和18%.氮沉降的贡献小于硫沉降,但它仍在持续增加.预测结果表明,2020~2050年可持续发展结合高强度减排情景相较于不采取措施情景可使土壤pH下降减少60%,但仍不能逆转土壤pH降低.因此,在未来不仅需要继续控制酸性污染物的排放,还需要加强氮的控制,并在土壤酸化高风险区采取相应恢复措施.Qiongyu Zhang Jianxing Zhu Qiufeng Wang Li Xu Mingxu Li Guanhua Dai Jan Mulder Yue Xi Nianpeng He 2022Science Bulletin2022,67,9:2
11Interactions between commensal bacteria and viral infection:insights for viral disease control in farmed animals显示文摘Viral diseases cause serious economic loss in farmed animals industry.However,the efficacy of remedies for viral infection in farmed animals is limited,and treatment strategies are generally lacking for aquatic animals.Interactions of commensal microbiota and viral infection have been studied in recent years,demonstrating a third player in the interaction between hosts and viruses.Here,we discuss recent developments in the research of interactions between commensal bacteria and viral infection,including both promotion and inhibition effect of commensal bacteria on viral pathogenesis,as well as the impact of viral infection on commensal microbiota.The antiviral effect of commensal bacteria is mostly achieved through priming or regulation of the host immune responses,involving differential microbial components and host signaling pathways,and gives rise to various antiviral probiotics.Moreover,we summarize studies related to the interaction between commensal bacteria and viral infection in farmed animals,including pigs,chickens,fish and invertebrate species.Further studies in this area will deepen our understanding of antiviral immunity of farmed animals in the context of commensal microbiota,and promote the development of novel strategies for treatment of viral diseases in farmed animals.Chao Ran Yu Li Xufa Ma Yadong Xie Mingxu Xie Yuting Zhang Wei Zhou Yalin Yang Zhen Zhang Li Zhou Kaijian Wei Zhigang Zhou 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,9:2

14Ambiguous temperature difference in aerodynamic levitation process: Modelling, solving and application显示文摘The aerodynamic levitation provides an efficient technique for the research on thermophysical properties and solidification behavior of refractory materials. However, there is a nonnegligible temperature differences across sample, causing unexpected uncertainty of measurement, such as, thermal expansivity and undercooling limit. We establish thermal filed model with properly simplified boundary condition, and derive quantitative expressions of this ambiguous temperature difference. Here we show that the temperature difference not only related to the average temperature, relative size and thermal conductivity of sample, but significantly influenced by the rotation pattern of sample. A huge temperature differences is almost inevitable when the sample with low thermal conductivity and high melting point is smelted in stationary suspension pattern, however, a drastically reduction of temperature difference can be fulfilled by simply making the sample rotation in up to down pattern. The thermal filed simulation was used to confirm the validity of these theoretical expressions. This work shed light on temperature difference in aerodynamic levitation. 17脉冲降水对森林中土壤有机物矿化的影响:空间变化和控制因素显示文摘降水脉冲效应使土壤有机物在短时间内迅速分解并释放大量CO2到大气中。降水脉冲效应对生态系统的碳循环和土壤碳平衡的研究具有十分重要的意义,但它在森林土壤中的空间变化和基本机制仍不清楚。我们采集中国东部22个典型森林生态系统的土壤样品(0–10cm),研究模拟脉冲降水对土壤微生物呼吸速率的影响。模拟降水脉冲使土壤样品达到65%饱和含水量,以分钟为单位测量Rs,持续48小时。研究结果显示,降水脉冲可以使微生物呼吸速率迅速增加1.70–38.12倍。微生物最大呼吸速率(R_(s-soil-max))、碳释放总量Rs(A_(Rs-soil))和达到呼吸峰值的时间(T_(Rs-soil-max))在不同的土壤中存在显著差异。此外,不同气候区的脉冲效应也有明显不同。中温带的R_(s-soil-max)(11.701μg C g^(-1) soil h^(-1))和A_(Rs-soil)(300.712μg C g^(-1) soil)最高。土壤化学特性(总碳和总氮、pH值和氧化还原电位)和土壤粒径与森林土壤的脉冲效应密切相关,但土壤微生物的贡献较小。我们的研究结果表明,在大尺度范围内,脉冲变化短期内增加森林土壤中CO2的排放,并揭示了对这种变化影响最大的因素。这些发现为未来对森林生态系统的碳循环和调节全球生态系统碳循环的研究提供科学数据支持。Zhaoxia Jiang Hongfeng Bian Li Xu Mingxu Li Nianpeng He 2021Journal of Plant Ecology2021,14,5:1

19Leaf-meridian bio-inspired nanofibrous electronics with uniform distributed microgrid and 3D multi-level structure for wearable applications显示文摘The interface between the active electronic and its osculatory target dominates the sensing response of high-sensitivity sensors.However,the interface properties are difficult to be adjusted and preserved owing to the limited strategies for surface engineering.In this work,inspired by nature frond leaf,a spatial multi-level nanofibrous membrane with grid-like microstructure of uniform distribution was fabricated,in which carboxylated carbon nanotubes(CCNTs)/poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(PEDOT)was modified onto the surface of grid-like polyurethane(PU)nanofiber via the combination of metal mesh template,in situ polymerization and ultrasonic treatment.Nanofibrous membrane enables a pressure sensor with high sensitivities(5.13 kPa−1),fast response/recovery time(80 ms and 120 ms),and ultralow detection limit of 1 Pa.In addition,as a scalable and integrable platform,we also demonstrate its multifunctional applications for electro-thermal conversion and energy harvesting.All these results indicate the proposed nanofibrous membrane may potentially be applied to next-generation wearable devices.Mingxu Wang Li Dong Jiajia Wu Jian Shi Qiang Gao Chunhong Zhu Hideaki Morikawa 2022npj Flexible Electronics2022,6,1:1
20Hierarchical macro-microporous WPU-ECM scaffolds combined with Microfracture Promote in Situ Articular Cartilage Regeneration in Rabbits显示文摘Tissue engineering provides a promising avenue for treating cartilage defects.However,great challenges remain in the development of structurally and functionally optimized scaffolds for cartilage repair and regeneration.In this study,decellularized cartilage extracellular matrix(ECM)and waterborne polyurethane(WPU)were employed to construct WPU and WPU-ECM scaffolds by water-based 3D printing using low-temperature deposition manufacturing(LDM)system,which combines rapid deposition manufacturing with phase separation techniques.The scaffolds successfully achieved hierarchical macro-microporous structures.After adding ECM,WPU scaffolds were markedly optimized in terms of porosity,hydrophilia and bioactive components.Moreover,the optimized WPU-ECM scaffolds were found to be more suitable for cell distribution,adhesion,and proliferation than the WPU scaffolds.Most importantly,the WPU-ECM scaffold could facilitate the production of glycosaminoglycan(GAG)and collagen and the upregulation of cartilage-specific genes.These results indicated that the WPU-ECM scaffold with hierarchical macro-microporous structures could recreate a favorable microenvironment for cell adhesion,proliferation,differentiation,and ECM production.In vivo studies further revealed that the hierarchical macro-microporous WPU-ECM scaffold combined with the microfracture procedure successfully regenerated hyaline cartilage in a rabbit model.Six months after implantation,the repaired cartilage showed a similar histological structure and mechanical performance to that of normal cartilage.In conclusion,the hierarchical macro-microporous WPU-ECM scaffold may be a promising candidate for cartilage tissue engineering applications in the future.Mingxue Chen YangYang Li Shuyun Liu Zhaoxuan Feng Hao Wang Dejin Yang Weimin Guo Zhiguo Yuan Shuang Gao Yu Zhang Kangkang Zha Bo Huang Fu Wei Xinyu Sang Qinyu Tian Xuan Yang Xiang sui Yixin Zhou Yufeng Zheng Quanyi Guo 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,7:1
