10Effect of Hydrothermal Treatment on Suppressing Coking of ZSM-5 Zeolite during Methanol-to-Propylene Reaction显示文摘Fresh ZSM-5 zeolite catalysts were pretreated at 460 ℃and 500 ℃with various cumulative amount of water feed(CAWF) in a fixed bed reactor. The catalytic process was carried out under the following conditions: a temperature of 480 ℃; a methanol WHSV of 3 h-1; a methanol partial pressure of 30 k Pa; and a time on stream of 12 h, 24 h and 48 h, respectively. The BET parameters of catalysts and diffusion coefficients of toluene showed that there were two types of mesopores generated under different hydrothermal conditions. Mild temperature and moderate CAWF conditions led to external open mesopores which could be entered from the external surface of the zeolite, while a high temperature or a high CAWF condition resulted in the generation of macropores or internal isolated mesopores, which were occluded in the microporous matrix. 11Carbon flowers as electrocatalysts for the reduction of oxygen to hydrogen peroxide显示文摘Small-scale and decentralized production of H_(2)O_(2)via electrochemical reduction of oxygen is of great benefit,especially for sanitization,air and water purification,as well as for a variety of chemical processes.The development of low-cost and highperformance catalysts for this reaction remains a key challenge.Carbon-based materials have drawn substantial research efforts in recent years due to their advantageous properties,such as high chemical stability and high tunability in active sites and morphology.Deeper understanding of structure–activity relationships can guide the design of improved catalysts.We hypothesize that mass transport to active sites is of great importance,and herein we use carbon materials with unique flower-like superstructures to achieve high activity and selectivity for O2 reduction to H_(2)O_(2).The abundance of nitrogen active sites controlled by pyrolysis temperature resulted in high catalytic activity and selectivity for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).The flower superstructure showed higher performance than the spherical nanoparticles due to greater accessibility to the active sites.Chemical activation improves the catalysts’performances further,driving the production of H_(2)O_(2)to a record-setting rate of 816 mmol·gcat^(−1)·h^(−1)using a bulk electrolysis setup.This work demonstrates the development of a highly active catalyst for the sustainable production of H_(2)O_(2)through rational design and synthetic control.The understanding from this work provides further insight into the design of future carbon-based electrocatalysts.Huaxin Gong Lingze Wei Shucheng Chen Zhihua Chen Thomas F.Jaramillo Zhenan Bao 2023Nano Research2023,16,9:0
12Screened peptides from one-bead one-compound technique extend half-life of peptide drugs in circulation through binding to albumin显示文摘Peptide drugs are known for their high biological safety.However,compared with small molecule drugs,peptide drugs are easily oxidized and hydrolyzed as well as short in half-life.Herein,inspired by the long circulation of albumin in blood,we screened albumin binding peptides(ABPs)from a one-bead one-compound(OBOC)peptide library to increase the half-life of peptide drugs.Beads displaying random peptides were screened using fluorescent labeled human serum albumin.Fluorescent beads with specific binding to albumin were isolated for sequencing.The selected ABPs can effectively bind to albumin,thus possessing the long circulation of albumin.The dissociation constant(K_(D))of ABPs to albumin is up to 1×10^(-8)mol/L.Once one of ABPs(ABP2)was coupled to triptorelin,the circulation half-life of triptorelin in mice was significantly prolonged to 263.50 h much longer than that of triptorelin alone(179.07 h).In addition,the combination therapy using ABP-conjugated triptorelin and doxorubicin(DOX)can effectively inhibit the proliferation of tumor cells in mice.The OBOC screening strategy and resulting ABPs showed great potential for enhancing the delivery efficiency of peptide drugs.Yi-Jing Li Lingze Zhang Ming-Hao Pang Pei-Pei Yang Lu-Ming Guo Kuo Zhang Da-Yong Hou Lei Wang Hao Wang Hui Cao 2024Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,3:0
13An Empirical Analysis of the Impact of Fund Manager's Personal Characteristics on Fund Performance显示文摘A great deal of research found that fund performance is related to a series of personal characteristics of fund managers,but how these personal characteristics affect fund performance is still unknown.China is the most important emerging country and the second largest economy in the world.The development of China's capital market is different from that of most developed countries.Therefore,empirical evidence on the performance of funds in developed countries often cannot be extended to the Chinese market.In addition,there is evidence that many successful fund managers in developed countries may not achieve good performance in China.Therefore,it is particularly meaningful to examine the determinants of fund performance in the Chinese market.This paper establishes a three-level framework model to study this connection.Considering return and risk,the two basic factors that affect fund performance,this paper chooses nine proxy variables:Sharpe ratio,Jensen index,Treynor index,abnormal return(α),total risk(β),non-systemic risk,standard deviation of return,stock choosing ability and time picking ability as the criteria to measure the comprehensive performance.This paper investigates China's open-end funds to fill the gap in literature on the relationship between fund managers'personal characteristics and fund performance in emerging capital markets.The results of this paper found that age,gender,fund manager years,number of funds under management,master's or doctor’s degree,MBA degree,business background and fund managers have better stock choosing ability,higher abnormal return and better overall performance has a significant positive relationship.The results of further decomposition indicate that the abnormal return is the main influencing factor of the fund's comprehensive performance;the abnormal return is also affected by the fund manager's ability of stock choosing and time picking.In addition,stock choosing ability is the main factor affecting abnormal return.Therefore,the education background of the fund manager’s personal characteristics will affect the abnormal return and ultimately affect the comprehensive performance of the fund.This paper also finds that gender and majors affect fund managers'risk control behavior.The research results in this paper have great practical significance.Firstly,it introduces a framework that can explain how the individual characteristics of fund managers affect the performance mechanism of funds.Secondly,the findings in China's stock market supplement the empirical evidence in the mature markets of developed countries.Since China is already the largest emerging economy in the world,the results of this study are of great significance not only to Chinese researchers,but also to international scholars who want to study China's capital market.Thirdly,the empirical study is of great practical significance to test the ability of fund managers to divide abnormal earnings into stock choosing ability and time picking ability.Lingze Meng 2019经济管理学刊(中英文版)2019,8,2:0
