1Estimation on the response of glaciers in China to the global warming in the 21st century显示文摘Glaciers in China can be categorized into 3 types, i.e. the maritime (temperate) type, sub-continental (sub-polar) type and extreme Continental (polar) type, which take 22%, 46% and 32% of the total existing glacier area (59 406 km2) respectively. Researches indicate that glaciers of the three types show different response patterns to the global warming. Since the Maxima of the Little Ice Age (the 17th century), air temperature has risen at a magnitude of 1.3℃on average and the glacier area decreased corresponds to 20% of the present total glacier area in western China. it is estimated that air temperature rise in the 2030s, 2070s and 2100s will be of the order of 0.4-1.2, 1.2-2.7 and 2.1-4.0 K in western China. With these scenarios, glaciers in China will suffer from further shrinkage by 12%, 28% and 45% by the 2030s, 2070s and 2100s. 2Amplitude of climatic changes in Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau显示文摘On the basis of ice core and meteorological data from the Qinghai-Tibetan (Q-l) Plateau, this article focuses on the discussion of the problems related to the sensitivity of temporal and spatial changes of the climate in high-altitude regions, particularly in the Q-T Plateau. The features of abrupt climatic changes of the past 100 ka, 2 000 a and recent years indicate that the amplitude of these changes in the Q-T Plateau was obviously larger than that in low-altitude regions. The scope of temperature change above 6 000 m in the Q-T Plateau between glacial and interglacial stages could reach over 10C℃, but only about 4℃ in low-elevation regions close to sea level. During the last 2 000 a, the amplitude of temperature changes at Guliya (over 6 000 m a.s.l.) in the Q-T Plateau reached 7℃, in comparison with 2℃ in eastern China at low altitude. 4The mortality of lung cancer attributable to smoking among adults in China and the United States during 1990–2017显示文摘Background:Statistical data on the burden and relevant risk factors of lung cancer are valuable for policy-making.This study aimed to compare the mortality of lung cancer attributable to smoking stratified by sex and age among adults in China and the United States(US).Methods:We extracted age-standardized mortality rates of lung cancer during 1990-2017 using the comparative risk assessment framework of the 2017 Global Burden of Disease study.We performed an age-period-cohort analysis to estimate time trend of lung cancer mortality attributable to smoking.Results:During 1990-2017,the age-standardized mortality rate of lung cancer was increasing in China but decreasing in the US for both sexes.The mortality attributable to smoking in China showed a generally increasing trend,while a continuous decrease was observed in the US.The age-period-cohort analysis showed a similar trend of age effect among adults between China and the US:the mortality substantially increased from the 30-34 to 80-84 age group and subsequently decreased in the 90-94 age group.However,the period effect rapidly increased in Chinese adults during 1990-2017,while it tended to be stable in the US although it was still slightly increasing in women.The cohort effect generally peaked in the earlier cohort born in 1902-1906 in the two countries.Conclusions:During 1990-2017,the lung cancer mortality attributable to smoking and the period effect are generally increasing in Chinese adults;the mortality attributable to smoking is decreasing in the US adults,but the period effect tends to be stable.The rapid aging and prevalence of smoking may intensify the increasing mortality of lung cancer in China.Xiaoxue Liu Yong Yu Minsheng Wang Sumaira Mubarik Fang Wang Yafeng Wang Runtang Meng Chuanhua Yu 2020Cancer Communications2020,40,11:17
5High-resolution 3D crustal S-wave velocity structure of the MiddleLower Yangtze River Metallogenic Belt and implications for its deep geodynamic setting显示文摘The Middle-Lower Yangtze River Metallogenic Belt(MLYMB) is an important mineral resource region in China.High-resolution crustal models can provide crucial constraints to understand the ore-forming processes and geodynamic setting in this region. Using ambient seismic noise from 107 permanent and 82 portable stations in the MLYMB and the adjacent area,we present a new high-resolution 3D S-wave velocity model of this region. We first extract 5–50 s Rayleigh wave phase velocity dispersion data by calculating ambient noise cross-correlation functions(CFs) and then use the surface wave direct inversion method to invert the mixed path travel times for the 3D S-wave velocity structure. Checkerboard tests show that the horizontal resolution of the 3D S-wave velocity model is approximately 0.5°–1.0° and that the vertical resolution decreases with increasing noise and depth. Our high-resolution 3D S-wave velocity model reveals:(1) AV-shaped high-velocity zone(HVZ) is located in the lower crust and the uppermost mantle in the study region. The western branch of the HVZ passes through the Jianghan Basin,the Qinling-Dabie orogenic belt and the Nanxiang Basin. The eastern branch, which almost completely covers the main body of the MLYMB, is located near the Tanlu Fault. The low-velocity anomalies between the western and eastern branches are located in the area of the Qinling-Dabie orogenic belt.(2) High-velocity uplifts(HVUs) are common in the crust of the MLYMB,especially in the areas near the Tanlu Fault, the Changjiang Fault and the Yangxin-Changzhou Fault. The intensities of the HVUs gradually weaken from west to east. The V-shaped HVZ in the lower crust and uppermost mantle and the HVUs in the middle and lower crust likely represent cooled mantle intrusive rocks. During the Yanshanian period, fault systems formed in the MLYMB due to the convergence between the South China Plate and the North China Plate, the multiple-direction drifting of the PaleoPacific Plate and its subduction beneath the Eurasian Plate. The dehydration of the cold oceanic crust led to partial melting in the upper mantle. Temperature differences caused strong convection of the upper mantle material that underplated the lower crust and rose to near the surface along the deep fault systems. 7Difference between grid connections of large-scale wind power and conventional synchronous generation显示文摘In China, regions with abundant wind energy resources are generally located at the end of power grids. The power grid architecture in these regions is typically not sufficiently strong, and the energy structure is relatively simple. Thus, connecting large-capacity wind power units complicates the peak load regulation and stable operation of the power grids in these regions. Most wind turbines use power electronic converter technology, which affects the safety and stability of the power grid differently compared with conventional synchronous generators. Furthermore, fluctuations in wind power cause fluctuations in the output of wind farms, making it difficult to create and implement suitable power generation plans for wind farms. The generation technology and grid connection scheme for wind power and conventional thermal power generation differ considerably. Moreover, the active and reactive power control abilities of wind turbines are weaker than those of thermal power units, necessitating additional equipment to control wind turbines. Hence, to address the aforementioned issues with large-scale wind power generation, this study analyzes the differences between the grid connection and collection strategies for wind power bases and thermal power plants. Based on this analysis, the differences in the power control modes of wind power and thermal power are further investigated. Finally, the stability of different control modes is analyzed through simulation. 8Spatio-Temporal Impact of Rural Livelihood Capital on Labor Migra- tion in Panxi, Southwestern Mountainous Region of China显示文摘Labor migration to urban centers is a common phenomenon in the Panxi region of the southwestern mountainous region of China, mainly owing to inadequate livelihood capital in rural areas. Numerous studies have been conducted to explore the relationship between labor migration and its causes, such as individual and family characteristics, but few studies have focused on livelihood capital. This paper examines the impact factors on labor migration employment location selection and duration from a household livelihood capital perspective. A case study of 279 households from 10 villages in the area was carried out in February 2016. We used both qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze the data. On the basis of the 279 questionnaires, the proportion of households with non-labor migration is 48.4%, whereas households with labor migration within a local city and migration across regions account for 28.7% and 22.9%, respectively. Social, financial, and human capitals are the primary factors that influence migrants' employment location choice positively. Among them, social capital has a significant impact on both migration within a local city and across regions; each of the regression coefficients is 1.111 and 1.183. Social, human, and financial capitals also have a positive impact on the duration of labor migration, and similarly, social capital is the highest coefficient with 2.489. However, physical capital only partly impacts labor migration across regions, whereas the impact of labor migration within a local city, and the duration, are not significant. Furthermore, the impact of household natural capital on migration space and time are all negative relationships, especially for labor migration across the regions and duration, with coefficient scores of 4.836 and 3.450, respectively. That is to say, a laborer is inclined to migrate within a local city for a short term, or not migrate at all, if natural capital is abundant. 9Improving in vitro and in vivo corrosion resistance and biocompatibility of Mg-1Zn-1Sn alloys by microalloying with Sr显示文摘Magnesium(Mg)and its alloys have attracted attention as potential biodegradable materials in orthopedics due to their mechanical and physical properties,which are compatible with those of human bone.However,the effect of the mismatch between the rapid material degradation and fracture healing caused by the adverse effect of hydrogen(H2),which is generated during degradation,on surrounding bone tissue has severely restricted the application of Mg and its alloys.Thus,the development of new Mg alloys to achieve ideal degradation rates,H2 evolution and mechanical properties is necessary.Herein,a novel Mg-1Zn-1Sn-xSr(x=0,0.2,0.4,and 0.6 wt%)quaternary alloy was developed,and the microstructure,mechanical properties,corrosion behavior and biocompatibility in vitro/vivo were investigated.The results demonstrated that a minor amount of strontium(Sr)(0.2 wt%)enhanced the corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of Mg-1Zn-1Sn alloy through grain refinement and second phase strengthening.Simultaneously,due to the high hydrogen overpotential of tin(Sn),the H2 release of the alloys was significantly reduced.Furthermore,Sr-containing Mg-1Zn-1Sn-based alloys significantly enhanced the viability,adhesion and spreading of MC3T3-E1 cells in vitro due to their unique biological activity and the ability to spontaneously form a network structure layer with micro/nanotopography.A low corrosion rate and improved biocompatibility were also maintained in a rat subcutaneous implantation model.However,excessive Sr(>0.2 wt%)led to a microgalvanic reaction and accelerated corrosion and H2 evolution.Considering the corrosion resistance,H2 evolution,mechanical properties and biocompatibility in vitro and in vivo,Mg-1Zn-1Sn-0.2Sr alloy has tremendous potential for clinical applications.Yafeng Wen Qingshan Liu Jingfeng Wang Qiming Yang Weikang Zhao Bo Qiao Yuling Li Dianming Jiang 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,12:3
10Model test and numerical simulation on the dynamic stability of the bedding rock slope under frequent microseisms显示文摘Shake table testing was performed to investigate the dynamic stability of a mid-dip bedding rock slope under frequent earthquakes. Then, numerical modelling was established to further study the slope dynamic stability under purely microseisms and the influence of five factors, including seismic amplitude, slope height, slope angle, strata inclination and strata thickness, were considered. The experimental results show that the natural frequency of the slope decreases and damping ratio increases as the earthquake loading times increase. The dynamic strength reduction method is adopted for the stability evaluation of the bedding rock slope in numerical simulation, and the slope stability decreases with the increase of seismic amplitude, increase of slope height, reduction of strata thickness and increase of slope angle. The failure mode of a mid-dip bedding rock slope in the shaking table test is integral slipping along the bedding surface with dipping tensile cracks at the slope rear edge going through the bedding surfaces. In the numerical simulation, the long-term stability of a mid-dip bedding slope is worst under frequent microseisms and the slope is at risk of integral sliding instability, whereas the slope rock mass is more broken than shown in the shaking table test. 11Research progress in rehabilitation treatment of stroke patients A bibliometric analysis显示文摘BACKGROUND: Stroke presents as a transient or chronic brain dysfunction and is associated with high morbidity and high mortality. The doctors and scientists would like to argue how to enhance the validity of the rehabilitation treatment and how to further improve the level of treatment on stroke. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to quantitatively analyze the current worldwide progress in research on stroke rehabilitation treatment based on Web of Science database and ClinicalTrial.gov in the past 10 years. METHODS: We conducted a quantitative analysis of clinical trial articles regarding stroke rehabilitation published in English from 2003 to 2013 and indexed in the National Institutes of Health Clinical Trials registry and Web of Science databases. Data were downloaded on March 15, 2013. RESULTS: (1) From 2003 to 2013, 2 654 clinical trials investigating stroke were indexed in ClinicalTrials.gov. There were only 58 clinical trials registered in 2003, and there was a marked increase from 2005. A total of 605 clinical trials on the rehabilitation of stroke were conducted in the past 10 years. (2) The analysis showed that most of the trials in the field were registered by North American institutions. With respect to the Asian countries, China and Taiwan Region of China also published a reasonable proportion of the trials, but comparatively speaking, the number of trials is really rare. Most of the interventions were drugs, followed by the devices, and behavioral interventions were ranked third. (3) In the past 10 years, there were 4 052 studies on stroke indexed by Web of Science database. 12Influence of Shot Peening Treatment on the Fatigue and Corrosion Resisting Properties of 2Cr13 Stainless Steel显示文摘In the present paper,shot peening treatments were used to strengthen the steel surface,and the influence on the fatigue and corrosion resisting properties of 2Cr13 stainless steel was examined.The residual stress and the surface roughness were investigated by XRD and AFM.The characteristics of fatigue and corrosion resistance have also been analyzed by bending fatigue and salt spray tests.The result reveals that the fatigue limit of the samples is improved dramatically with the increasing of the peening strength by 7.5%.Meanwhile,the peenging angle has no evident influence on the fatigue properties.Compared with the untreated samples,the acid corrosion weight loss of the samples after the shot peening treatment is decreased almost by 90%.From the above experimental results proper shot peening would improve not only the fatigue property but also the corrosion resistance of 2Cr13-typed stainless steel.Liu Mingxia Zhang Haicun Liu Daoxin Han Zengfu Zhi Jinhua Guo Wenyong Zhou Yafeng 2012稀有金属材料与工程2012,41,S1:2

15Generation of transgenic wheat resistant to wheat yellow mosaic virus and identification of gene silence induced by virus infection显示文摘The plasmid containing the promoter Actl, the coat protein (cp) gene of wheat yellow mosaic virus (WYMV) and the selectable bar gene, was delivered via particle bombardment, directly into immature embryos of a wheat culti-vars. PCR and PCR-RFLP were employed to screen the existence of the cp gene in T0 and T1 generations. Seeds from the positive T1 plants were sowed in fields heavily contaminated with WYMV to detect their resistance. In field trial of virus infection, one of the transgenic wheat lines, P8-T2, exhibited highly disease-resistance. Western blot and RT-PCR analysis showed that the expression level of cp gene in the resistant transgenic line was reduced greatly compared to those susceptible to WYMV infection. 18Waterbomb-origami inspired triboelectric nanogenerator for smart pavement-integrated traffic monitoring显示文摘With a rapid development of intelligent transportation systems(ITSs),traffic monitoring has gained increasing attention.Here,we present a new kind of waterbomb-origami-inspired triboelectric nanogenerator(WO-TENG)as a traffic monitoring system to integrate smart pavement with lightweight,cost-effective,excellent deformability,flexibility,and self-rebounding properties.The electrical performance is significantly improved by more than 67%compared with current origami-based TENG,and multi tribo-pairs have great synchronicity.The fully-packaged self-driven WO-TENG is further developed to integrate smart pavement,which can successfully decouple the influence of vehicle speed and weight on the sensing accuracy.This phenomenon demonstrates the feasibility and stability of the WO-TENG for traffic monitoring.Independently of the voltage amplitude and time interval electrical wave,vehicle speed,number of vehicles,and types of vehicles can be further evaluated accurately.This work can not only address the challenge of traditional traffic monitoring system,but also promote the development of TENG based self-powered sensors in ITSs.Yafeng Pang Xingyi Zhu Ying Yu Shuainian Liu Yu Chen Yi Feng 2022Nano Research2022,15,6:2
19Multi-dimensional and complicated electromagnetic interference hardware-in-the-loop simulation method显示文摘A typical electronic communication system, such as GPS receiver, unmanned aerial vehicle's(UAV's) data link, and radar, faces multi-dimensional and complicated electromagnetic interference in operating environment. To measure the antiinterference performance of the electronic communication system in the complicated electromagnetic interference environment, a method of multi-dimensional and complicated electromagnetic interference hardware-in-the-loop simulation in an anechoic room is proposed. It takes into account the characteristics of interference signals and the positional relationship among interference, the receiver and the transmitter of the electronic communication system.It uses the grey relational method and the angular domain mapping error correction method to control the relevant parameters,the microwave switch and so on, thus achieving the approximately actual mapping of the outdoor multi-dimensional and complicated electromagnetic interference in the anechoic room. To verify the effectiveness of this method, the multi-dimensional and complicated electromagnetic interference of the UAV's data link is simulated as an example. 20Development and Applications of Dome A-DEM in Antarctic Ice Sheet显示文摘Dome A, the highest dome of East Antarctic Ice Sheet, is being an area focused by international Antarctic community after Chinese Antarctic Expedition finally reached there in 2005, and with the ongoing International Polar Year (IPY) during August 2007. In this paper two data processing methods are used together to generate two 100-m cell size digital elevation models (DEMs) of the Dome A region (Dome A-DEM) by using Cokriging method to interpolate the ICESat GLAS data, with Ihde-DEM as a constraint. It provides fundamental data to glaciological and geophysical investigation in this area. The Dome A-DEM was applied to determining the ice-sheet surface elevations and coordinates of the south and north summits, defining boundaries of basins and ice flowlines, deducing subglacial topography, and mapping surface slope and aspect in Dome A region. The DEM shows there are two (north and south) summits in Dome A region. The coordinate and the surface elevation of the highest point (the north summit) are 80°21′29.86″S, 77°21′50.29″E and 4092.71±1.43m, respectively. The ice thickness and sub-ice bedrock elevation at north summit are 2420m and 1672m, respectively. Dome A region contains four drainage basins that meet together near the south summit.
