| 1 | Amplification of the miR-181c/d cluster is inversely correlated with PDCD4 expression in gastric cancer显示文摘miR-181c/d is dysregulated in gastric cancer(GC).We investigated the amplification and expression of miR-181c/d and its predicted target genes in GC.Amplification of miR-181c/d was quantified by genomic real-time PCR in GC and adjacent normal tissues,as well as the levels of mature miR-181c/d was performed by real-time PCR in the same tissues.The potential target genes of miR-181c/d were predicted using bioinformatics software.Expression of one potential target gene,PDCD4,was measured by semiquantitative RT-PCR,real-time PCR,and immunohistochemistry.Next,the relationship between miR181c/d expression and PDCD4 expression was analyzed.Results indicated that the amplification and expression of miR-181c/d were significantly higher in GC than in adjacent normal tissues(primary miR-181c/d,P\0.001;miR-181c,P=0.0344;miR-181d,P=0.0153),and there was a strong correlation between mature miR-181c/d and primary miR-181c/d.Thirty-two target genes were predicted,including PDCD4 which is a known tumor suppressor gene.Expression of PDCD4 was significantly down-regulated in GC as compared to adjacent normal tissues and was inversely correlated with miR-181c/d expression in GC(miR-181c and PDCD4:R=-0.496,P=0.008;miR-181d and PDCD4:R=-0.454,P=0.003).Therefore,miR-181c/d may play a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of GC by downregulating PDCD4 expression. | Yuanming Pan Rui Xing Juan An Jiantao Cui Wenmei Li Mingzhou Guo Youyong Lu | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,19: | 6 |
| 2 | Polarization-dependent difference of the power spectra from two-dimensional random media with different shapes显示文摘Polarization-dependent difference of the power spectra from a set of two-dimensional (2D) passive random media is investigated by simultaneously solving Maxwell’s equations for both transverse magnetic (TM) and transverse electric (TE) fields. The random media have the same random constitution but different shapes. Results show that both two polarized states are morphology dependent, and the variety of the shapes has more influence on the selection of TM polarized modes than that of TE polarized modes. | 5 | Coronavirus disease 2019 epidemic prediction in Shanghai under the “dynamic zero-COVID policy”using time-dependent SEAIQR model显示文摘It’s urgently needed to assess the COVID-19 epidemic under the“dynamic zero-COVID policy”in China,which provides a scientific basis for evaluating the effectiveness of this strategy in COVID-19 control.Here,we developed a time-dependent susceptible-exposed-asymptomatic-infected-quarantined-remov ed(SEAIQR)model with stage-specific interventions based on recent Shanghai epidemic data,considering a large number of asymptomatic infectious,the changing parameters,and control procedures.The data collected from March 1st,2022 to April 15th,2022 were used to fit the model,and the data of subsequent 7 days and 14 days were used to evaluate the model performance of forecasting.We then calculated the effective regeneration number(Rt)and analyzed the sensitivity of different measures scenarios.Asymptomatic infectious accounts for the vast majority of the outbreaks in Shanghai,and Pudong is the district with the most positive cases.The peak of newly confirmed cases and newly asymptomatic infectious predicted by the SEAIQR model would appear on April 13th,2022,with 1963 and 28,502 cases,respectively,and zero community transmission may be achieved in early to mid-May.The prediction errors for newly confirmed cases were considered to be reasonable,and newly asymptomatic infectious were considered to be good between April 16th to 22nd and reasonable between April 16th to 29th.The final ranges of cumulative confirmed cases and cumulative asymptomatic infectious predicted in this round of the epidemic were 26,477~47,749 and 402,254~730,176,respectively.At the beginning of the outbreak,Rt was 6.69.Since the implementation of comprehensive control,Rt showed a gradual downward trend,dropping to below 1.0 on April 15th,2022.With the early implementation of control measures and the improvement of quarantine rate,recovery rate,and immunity threshold,the peak number of infections will continue to decrease,whereas the earlier the control is implemented,the earlier the turning point of the epidemic will arrive.The proposed time-dependent SEAIQR dynamic model fits and forecasts the epidemic well,which can provide a reference for decision making of the“dynamic zero-COVID policy”. | Yifei Ma Shujun Xu Qi An Mengxia Qin Sitian Li Kangkang Lu Jiantao Li Lijian Lei Lu He Hongmei Yu Jun Xie | 2022 | Journal of Biosafety and Biosecurity2022,4,2: | 1 |

| 10 | Heat transfer characterization and improvement in an external catalyst cooler fluidized bed显示文摘Gas-solid fluidized beds have been widely used in heat transfer processes,and so there have been many studies focused on increasing heat transfer in such units.In the present work,a pilot scale cold mode experimental rig was constructed to assess the effects of hydrodynamics on bed-to-wall heat transfer and to investigate various means of enhancing heat transfer in a dense gas-solid fluidized bed with external solid circulation.The experimental results show that heat transfer in the dense region played a dominant role in total bed-to-wall heat transfer,accounting for more than 88%of the total heat transfer load.Heat transfer could be lowered as a result of solids bypass that occurred because of external solids circulation,but this effect was weakened by the radial mixing of particles.The heat transfer characteristics identified in this study indicate that a specially designed baffle can be used to enhance bed-to-wall heat transfer.After installing such baffles in the fluidized bed test structure,a 70%increase in the total heat transfer coefficient was obtained. | Jiantao Li Xiuying Yao Lu Liu Xudong Zhong Chunxi Lu | 2021 | Particuology2021,19,3: | 0 |
| 11 | Robust and Tumor-Environment-Activated DNA Cross-Linker Driving Nanoparticle Accumulation for Enhanced Therapeutics显示文摘Agglomeration of therapeutic nanoparticles in response to tumor microenvironments is a promising approach to enhance drug accumulation and improve therapeutic efficacy.Cytosine-rich DNA sequences show potential as ideal cross-linkers to drive nanoparticle agglomeration because they can sensitively respond to weak acidity and form interchain folding.However,the in vivo application of DNA is generally limited by its poor biostability;as a consequence,modifications with unprotected DNA cross-linkers can enhance the accumulation of nanoparticles twofold at the tumor site.Facing this challenge,we have designed and developed a protection and tumor-environment activation strategy to enable the in vivo application of a DNA cross-linker.Specifically,reactive oxygen species(ROS)-responsive polyethylene glycol(PEG)was modified on the nanoparticle surface together with the DNA crosslinker,which protects DNA from degradation during the blood circulation;meanwhile,when arriving at the tumor site,the nanoparticles shed the PEG shell as a response to ROS to uncover and activate the DNA cross-linkers.Using this strategy,a sevenfold enhancement in tumor accumulation was achieved owing to both superior pH sensitivity and improved stability of DNA cross-linkers.Finally,significantly improved therapeutic efficacy in in vivo anticancer treatment was realized by using this agglomeration strategy driven by protected and stimuli-activated DNA cross-linkers. | Zhicong Chao Hongwei Lu Fan Xiao Chen Shao Zixiang Wei Jiantao Yu Xindan Zhang Li Lin Leilei Tian | 2020 | CCS Chemistry2020,2,5: | 0 |
