| 1 | Bioremediation of nitrogen-and phosphorus-polluted aquaculture sediment by utilizing combined immobilized effective microorganisms and sediment aeration technology显示文摘The endogenous release of nitrogen and phosphorus from aquaculture sediment can continuously pollute the water quality in aquaculture ponds.In this study,an integrated bioremediation approach that combined effective microorganisms(EM)with aeration techniques was designed to restore contaminated aquaculture sediment.Initially,a set of laboratory-scale experiments was designed to evaluate the feasibility of the technology for the bioremediation of nitrogen and phosphorus.The removal and transformation efficiency indexes of both the overlying water and sediment were measured.From the obtained results,the combination of sediment aeration and immobilized EM significantly improved the nitrogen and phosphorus removal rate from the overlying water and sediment when compared to other methods.Subsequently,a series of field-scale experiments was further implemented to assess the integrated technique in practical applications.In field experiments,the variation in the comprehensive trophic level index(TLI)and sediment biodegradation activities(G value)was used to assess the effect of sediment bioremediation.In pond II which promotes sediment biodegradation,the values of TLI varied from 70.13 to 54.16,and the classification level changed from Hypereutrophic to a Light eutrophic.In addition,the G value increased from 0.98 kg/(kg·h)to 2.12 kg/(kg·h).The organic matter(OM)and sediment thickness(ST)decreased by 17.4 g/kg and 2.3 cm,respectively.The obtained results indicated that the combination of EM and sediment aeration might be feasible and effective for the remediation of nitrogen-and phosphorus-polluted aquaculture sediment. | Liangkai Wang Xiaohou Shao Ming Xu Shuang Chen | 2019 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,6: | 6 |

| 3 | Energy conservation research of dehumidification system for main cable anticorrosion of suspension bridge显示文摘The necessity of the main cable anticorrosion for suspension bridge is described, and operating principles and composition of main cable dehumidification system are analyzed. An idea using the waste heat of high temperature outlet air of dehumidification system to heat up regeneration air of rotary-type dehumidifier is put forward in this paper. The concrete scheme is to install a heat exchanger on air-out pipeline of roots blower and air-in pipeline of regeneration electric heater of rotary dehumidifier. Air preheated by the heat exchanger enters regeneration electric heater of rotary-type dehumidifier. | 15 | Migration and transformation of Sb are affected by Mn(Ⅲ/Ⅳ)associated with lepidocrocite originating from Fe(Ⅱ)oxidation显示文摘Antimony(Sb)is a recognized priority pollutant with toxicity that is influenced by its mi-gration and transformation processes.Oxidation of Fe(Ⅱ)to Fe(Ⅲ)oxides,which is a com-mon phenomenon in the environment,is often accompanied by the formation of Mn(Ⅲ/Ⅳ)and might affect the fate of Sb.In this study,incorporated Mn(Ⅲ)and sorbed/precipitated Mn(Ⅲ/Ⅳ)associated with lepidocrocite were prepared by adding Mn(Ⅱ)during and after Fe(Ⅱ)oxidation,respectively,and the effects of these Mn species on Sb fate were inves-tigated.Our results indicated that the association of these Mn species with lepidocrocite obviously enhanced Sb(Ⅲ)oxidation to Sb(V),while concomitantly inhibiting Sb sorption due to the lower sorption capacity of lepidocrocite for Sb(V)than Sb(Ⅲ).Additionally,Mn oxide equivalents increased in the presence of Sb,indicating that Sb oxidation by Mn(Ⅲ/Ⅳ)associated with lepidocrocite was a continuous recycling process in which Mn(Ⅱ)released from Mn(Ⅲ/Ⅳ)reduction by Sb(Ⅲ)could be oxidized to Mn(Ⅲ/Ⅳ)again.This recycling pro-cess was favorable for effective Sb(Ⅲ)oxidation.Moreover,Sb(Ⅴ)generated from Sb(Ⅲ)ox-idation by Mn(Ⅲ/Ⅳ)enhanced Mn(Ⅱ)sorption at the beginning of the process,and thus favored Mn(Ⅲ/Ⅳ)formation,which could further promote Sb(Ⅲ)oxidation to Sb(V).Over-all,this study elucidated the effects of Mn(Ⅲ/Ⅳ)associated with lepidocrocite arisen from Fe(Ⅱ)oxidation on Sb migration and transformation and revealed the underlying reaction mechanisms,contributing to a better understanding of the geochemical dynamics of Sb. | Yalu Shao Qian Sun Liangkai Wang Weiyong Zhan Hongwei Zhang Hua Zhong | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,5: | 0 |

| 17 | Bacillus amyloliquefaciens (IAE635) and their metabolites could purify pollutants, Vibrio spp. and coliformbacteria in coastal aquaculture wastewater显示文摘High-density aquaculture often causes the emission of polluted water to the marine environment in the coastal areas of China.To solve the aquaculture-related water quality problems,it is appropriate to adapt eco-friendly methods,such as using microbes and their metabolic products to purify polluted water.In this study,the purifying effects ofBacillus amyloliquefaciens(IAE635)metabolites(poly-γ-glutamic acid;PP)and IAE635 combined with their metabolites(MP)on turbidity,COD,NO3--N,NH4+-N,Vibrio spp.andcoliform bacteria in coastal aquaculture wastewater were conducted in the lab and in situ ponds.The results showed that the removal ofturbidity,COD,NH4+-Nand NO3--Nwith PP and MP was more significant(p<0.05).Compared to Control treatment(Co),the turbidity,COD,NH4+-Nand NO3--N concentrations at 24thhour were evidently reduced by 86.6%,87.5%,83.3%and 58.0%for PP,87.9%,93.5%,86.5%and 78.0%for MP,respectively.The populations of water pathogens under PP and MP were also significantly(p<0.05)removed compared with those of Co;at 24thhour,the Vibriospp.and coliform bacteria were decreased by 68.7%and 66.3%forPP,75.0%and 67.1%for MP,respectively.The water purifying effect of MP was slightly better than that of PP.In situ pond purification test demonstrated that MP significantly lowered the concentrations of turbidity,COD,NH4+-N,NO3--N and NO2--N,which was more effective than EM.A significantly higher(p<0.05)γ-PGA concentration and the total bacterial population for MP compared to PP indicatedthatMPpurifies the coastal aquaculture wastewaterby both flocculation and microbial decomposition.The application of MP will benefit the aquaculture industry by providing a novel method for the removal of chemical pollutants and pathogens. | Yalu Shao Hua Zhong Liangkai Wang Mohammed M.A.Elbashier | 2021 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,2: | 0 |
| 18 | Stair climbing,genetic predisposition,and the risk of incident type 2 diabetes:A large population-based prospective cohort study显示文摘Background:Cross-sectional evidence and small-scale trials suggest positive effects of stair climbing on cardiometabolic disease and glucose regulation.However,few studies have examined the long-term association between stair climbing and the incidence of type 2 diabetes(T2D).We aimed to prospectively evaluate the association of stair climbing with T2D and assess modifications by genetic predisposition to T2D.Methods:We included 451,699 adults(mean age=56.3±8.1 years,mean±SD;55.2%females)without T2D at baseline in the UK Biobank and followed up to March 31,2021.Stair climbing information was collected through the touchscreen questionnaire.Genetic risk score for T2D consisted of 424 single nucleotide polymorphisms.Results:During a median follow up of 12.1 years,14,896 T2D cases were documented.Compared with participants who reported no stair climbing,those who climbed stairs regularly had a lower risk of incident T2D(10-50 steps/day:hazard ratio(HR)=0.95,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.89-1.00;60-100 steps/day:HR=0.92,95%CI:0.87-0.98;110-150 steps/day:HR=0.86,95%CI:0.80-0.91;>150 steps/day:HR=0.93,95%CI:0.87-0.99,p for trend=0.0007).We observed a significant interaction between stair climbing and genetic risk score on the subsequent T2D risk(p for interaction=0.0004),where the risk of T2D showed a downward trend in subjects with low genetic risk and those who reported stair climbing activity of 110-150 steps/day appeared to have the lowest overall T2D risk among those with intermediate to high genetic risk.Conclusion:A higher number of stairs climbed at home was associated with lower T2D incidence risk,especially among individuals with a low genetic predisposition to T2D.These findings highlight that stair climbing,as incidental physical activity,offers a simple and low-cost complement to public health interventions for T2D prevention. | Yuanjue Wu Mengyun Luo Xiao Tan Liangkai Chen | 2023 | Journal of Sport and Health Science2023,12,2: | 0 |
| 19 | Study on partial discharge and charge accumulation characteristics of oil‐pressboard insulation under DC superimposed harmonic voltage显示文摘The oil‐pressboard insulation on the valve side of the converter transformer withstands pulsating square wave voltage.The voltage contains lots of DC components and high‐order harmonics,which is likely to cause insulation failures.The partial discharge and space charge experiments of oil‐impregnated pressboard under DC superimposed har-monic voltage are conducted to study the effects of harmonic frequency and DC com-ponents on the discharge and charge accumulation and to explore the correlation mechanism of charge dynamic behaviour and discharge.Firstly,it is found that high‐order harmonic voltage promotes the partial discharge generation,but DC component sup-presses the discharge.Moreover,the charge inside the pressboard is mainly injected in the same polarity and accumulates over time.The space charge density near the electrode increases with the increase of harmonic frequency,and the large amount of charge in-jection leads to electric field distortion.Meanwhile,the electric field direction changes faster,and the frequent charge injection and extraction behaviours make the charge recombination intensify,which promotes the discharge.Through the above analysis,the influence law of harmonic voltage on the failure of oil‐pressboard insulation is obtained,providing a theoretical basis for the structural optimisation and condition assessment of the converter transformer insulation. | Shuqi Li Qiang Wang Dongxin He Liangkai Wang Qingquan Li Wen Si | 2023 | High Voltage2023,8,6: | 0 |
