1Effect of herbal formula Xiao Pi-II on functional dyspepsia显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the therapeutic effect of the herbal medication Xiao Pi-II on the symptoms and gastric motility of patients with functional dysepsia (FD). METHODS: A total of 180 FD patients were divided randomly and equally into Xiao Pi-II and mosapride groups. The two groups were treated with Xiao Pi-II (100 mL, t.d.s., ante cibum) and mosapride (5 mg, t. d.s., ante cibum) for 2 weeks. Before treatment and 3 days after all medication was stopped, patients responded to a questionnaire evaluating gastrointestinal symptoms and were assessed with abdominal three dimensional ultrasonography (3D-US) for gastric motility. RESULTS: Gastrointestinal symptoms (especially bloating, post-prandial fullness and eructation) were improved significantly in FD patients treated with Xiao Pi-II (P<0.05, P<0.05, and P<0.05), but no significant difference was found in the mosapride group (P>0.05). The effective rates in the Xiao Pi-II and mosapride group were 86.7% and 60.0%, respectively (P<0.05). The gastric liquid emptyingrate (GLER) in the Xiao Pi-II group showed a significant increase (P<0.01) after 2 weeks of treatment but there was no significant change (P>0.05) of GLER in the mosapride group. 2Using a Hidden Markov Model to Analyze the Flood-Season Rainfall Pattern and Its Temporal Variation over East China显示文摘The homogeneous hidden Markov model(HMM), a statistical pattern recognition method, is introduced in this paper. Based on the HMM, a 53-yr record of daily precipitation during the flood season(April-September) at 389 stations in East China during 1961-2013 is classified into six patterns: the South China(SC) pattern, the southern Yangtze River(SY) pattern, the Yangtze-Huai River(YH) pattern, the North China(NC) pattern, the overall wetter(OW) pattern, and the overall drier(OD) pattern. Features of the transition probability matrix of the first four patterns reveal that 1) the NC pattern is the most persistent, followed by the YH, and the SY is the least one; and 2) there exists a SY-SC-SY-YH-NC propagation process for the rain belt over East China during the flood season. The intraseasonal variability in the occurrence frequency of each pattern determines its start and end time. Furthermore,analysis of interdecadal variability in the occurrence frequency of each pattern in recent six decades has identified three obvious interdecadal variations for the SC, YH, and NC patterns in the mid-late 1970 s, the early 1990 s, and the late 1990 s. After 2000, the patterns concentrated in the southern region play a dominant role, and thus there maintains a 'flooding in the south and drought in the north' rainfall distribution in eastern China. 3Plant property regulates soil bacterial community structure under altered precipitation regimes in a semi-arid desert grassland, China显示文摘Variations of precipitation have great impacts on soil carbon cycle and decomposition of soil organic matter.Soil bacteria are crucial participants in regulating these ecological processes and vulnerable to altered precipitation.Studying the impacts of altered precipitation on soil bacterial community structure can provide a novel insight into the potential impacts of altered precipitation on soil carbon cycle and carbon storage of grassland.Therefore,soil bacterial community structure under a precipitation manipulation experiment was researched in a semi-arid desert grassland in Chinese Loess Plateau.Five precipitation levels,i.e.,control,reduced and increased precipitation by 40%and 20%,respectively(referred here as CK,DP40,DP20,IP40,and IP20)were set.The results showed that soil bacterial alpha diversity and rare bacteria significantly changed with altered precipitation,but the dominant bacteria and soil bacterial beta diversity did not change,which may be ascribed to the ecological strategy of soil bacteria.The linear discriminate analysis(LDA)effect size(LEfSe)method found that major response patterns of soil bacteria to altered precipitation were resource-limited and drought-tolerant populations.In addition,increasing precipitation greatly promoted inter-species competition,while decreasing precipitation highly facilitated inter-species cooperation.These changes in species interaction can promote different distribution ratios of bacterial populations under different precipitation conditions.In structural equation model(SEM)analysis,with changes in precipitation,plant growth characteristics were found to be drivers of soil bacterial community composition,while soil properties were not.In conclusion,our results indicated that in desert grassland ecosystem,the sensitive of soil rare bacteria to altered precipitation was stronger than that of dominant taxa,which may be related to the ecological strategy of bacteria,species interaction,and precipitation-induced variations of plant growth characteristics.ZHANG Lihua GAO Han WANG Junfeng ZHAO Ruifeng WANG Mengmeng HAO Lianyi GUO Yafei JIANG Xiaoyu ZHONG Lingfei 2023Journal of Arid Land2023,15,5:0
4A gap-free reference genome reveals structural variations associated with flowering time in rapeseed(Brassica napus)显示文摘Allopolyploid oilseed rape(Brassica napus)is an important oil crop and vegetable.However,the latest version of its reference genome,with collapsed duplications,gaps,and other issues,prevents comprehensive genomic analysis.Herein,we report a gap-free assembly of the rapeseed cv.Xiang5A genome using a combination of ONT(Oxford Nanopore Technologies)ultra-long reads,PacBio high-fidelity reads,and Hi-C datasets.It includes gap-free assemblies of all 19 chromosomes and telomere-to-telomere assemblies of eight chromosomes.Compared with previously published genomes of B.napus,our gap-free genome,with a contig N50 length of 50.70 Mb,has complete assemblies of 9 of 19 chromosomes without manual intervention,and greatly improves contiguity and completeness,thereby representing the highest quality genome assembly to date.Our results revealed that B.napus Xiang5A underwent nearly complete triplication and allotetraploidy relative to Arabidopsis thaliana.Using the gap-free assembly,we found that 917 flowering-related genes were affected by structural variation,including BnaA03.VERNALIZATION INSENSITIVE 3 and BnaC04.HIGH EXPRESSION OF OSMOTICALLY RESPONSIVE GENES 1.These genes may play crucial roles in regulating flowering time and facilitating the adaptation of Xiang5A in the Yangtze River Basin of China.This reference genome provides a valuable genetic resource for rapeseed functional genomic studies and breeding.Bao Li Qian Yang Lulu Yang Xing Zhou Lichao Deng Liang Qu Dengli Guo Rongkui Hui Yiming Guo Xinhong Liu Tonghua Wang Lianyi Fan Mei Li Mingli Yan 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,10:0
5荒漠草原区地上净初级生产力和土壤呼吸对降水变化的不同响应显示文摘降水变化既影响地上植被动态,也影响地下碳循环过程,尤其以干旱半干旱生态系统对降水的响应更为敏感。然而极端降水如何影响土壤碳固存潜力仍未得出明确结果。本研究在黄土高原西部荒漠草原样地实施了为期3年的降水控制实验,该实验包含5个降水梯度(即自然降水(对照),以及在自然降水基础上的减水40%、减水20%、增水20%、增水40%)。通过对不同降水处理下植物生长指标、地上净初级生产力(ANPP)、土壤水分和土壤呼吸(Rs)进行监测,采用双侧不对称模型揭示ANPP和Rs对降水变化的响应规律;采用结构方程模型,分析降水变化下影响ANPP和Rs的直接和间接因素。研究结果表明,ANPP对极端干旱的响应比极端湿润更敏感,在干旱和湿润年份均符合负向不对称模型。ANPP的变化主要受到降水的直接影响,同时,干旱年份植物密度的变化也对ANPP产生了影响。在湿润年份,Rs对降水变化的响应也呈负向不对称性。然而,干旱年份,Rs对降水变化表现出正向不对称响应,即对降水增加响应的敏感性高于降水减少,这可能与植物生长和ANPP对增水处理的正响应增加使自氧呼吸增强,及降水事件对异氧呼吸具有较强的‘Birch效应’有关。在干旱年份Rs对极端干旱(减水40%处理)表现出饱和响应。ANPP和Rs对降水格局改变的响应模式差异表明荒漠草原区极端湿润或干旱可能降低研究区土壤碳固存的潜力。Lihua Zhang Junfeng Wang Ruifeng Zhao Yafei Guo Lianyi Hao 2022Journal of Plant Ecology2022,15,1:0
