1Hyperbolic Method to Analyze the Electrical Resistivity Curve of Portland Cements with Superplasticizer显示文摘Electrical measurement was employed to investigate the early hydration characteristics of cement pastes with different dosages of superplasticizer in the same W/C ratio.The hyperbolic method was applied to analyze the electrical resistivity development.The peak point(P_h)on the hyperbolic curve could be easily read.The time(th)to reach the point Ph had strong relations with the setting time.th was delayed with the increment of the dosage of superplasticizer.The time th was used to plot the relationship between the initial setting time and final setting time.The hyperbolic equation was established to predict the ultimate resistivity. 2Quantifying the adsorption and uptake of CuO nanoparticles by wheat root based on chemical extractions显示文摘Extensive application of metal nanoparticles is attracting more attention because of their potential environmental risks.Many studies have focused on the uptake of metal nanoparticles (NPs) by plant,but the adsorption of nanoparticles on root surface is often mistakenly regarded as their uptake.This study optimized the methods to distinguish the adsorption and uptake of CuO-NPs on the wheat root by applying different metal competing ions (Na +,Mg 2+,and La 3+ ),surfactant (i.e.,sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate,SDBS),or complexing agents like NaOAc and Na 4 EDTA,as well as ultrasonic technique.The results indicated that some CuO-NPs is strongly adsorbed on the plant root surface,and part of them by mechanical adhesion.Competing ions could not desorb the CuO-NPs from the root surface,while NaOAc and Na 4 EDTA well dissolved the adsorbed CuO-NPs.In addition,the uptake and adsorption of CuO-NPs increased with increasing exposure concentrations of CuO-NPs in the range of 5-200 mg/L.The amount of CuO-NPs adsorption is always lower than that of their uptake.Dongmei Zhou Shengyang Jin Lianzhen Li Yu Wang Nanyan Weng 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,11:3
3Artificial intelligence in gastric cancer:applications and challenges显示文摘Gastric cancer(GC)is one of the most common malignant tumors with high mortality.Accurate diagnosis and treatment decisions for GC rely heavily on human experts’careful judgments on medical images.However,the improvement of the accuracy is hindered by imaging conditions,limited experience,objective criteria,and inter-observer discrepancies.Recently,the developments of machine learning,especially deep-learning algorithms,have been facilitating computers to extract more information from data automatically.Researchers are exploring the far-reaching applications of artificial intelligence(AI)in various clinical practices,including GC.Herein,we aim to provide a broad framework to summarize current research on AI in GC.In the screening of GC,AI can identify precancerous diseases and assist in early cancer detection with endoscopic examination and pathological confirmation.In the diagnosis of GC,AI can support tumor-node-metastasis(TNM)staging and subtype classification.For treatment decisions,AI can help with surgical margin determination and prognosis prediction.Meanwhile,current approaches are challenged by data scarcity and poor interpretability.To tackle these problems,more regulated data,unified processing procedures,and advanced algorithms are urgently needed to build more accurate and robust AI models for GC.Runnan Cao Lei Tang Mengjie Fang Lianzhen Zhong Siwen Wang Lixin Gong Jiazheng Li Di Dong Jie Tian 2022Gastroenterology Report2022,10,1:3
4CT radiomics can help screen the coronavirus disease2019(COVID-19): a preliminary study显示文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) is raging across the world.The radiomics,which explores huge amounts of features from medical image for disease diagnosis,may help the screen of the COVID-19.In this study,we aim to develop a radiomic signature to screen COVID-19 from CT images.We retrospectively collect 75 pneumonia patients from Beijing Youan Hospital,including 46 patients with COVID-19 and 29 other types of pneumonias.These patients are divided into training set(n = 50) and test set(n = 25) at random.We segment the lung lesions from the CT images,and extract 77 radiomic features from the lesions.Then unsupervised consensus clustering and multiple cross-validation are utilized to select the key features that are associated with the COVID-19.In the experiments,while twenty-three radiomic features are found to be highly associated with COVID-19,four key features are screened and used as the inputs of support vector machine to build the radiomic signature.We use area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC) and calibration curve to assess the performance of our model.It yields AUCs of 0.862 and 0.826 in the training set and the test set respectively.We also perform the stratified analysis and find that its predictive ability is not affected by gender,age,chronic disease and degree of severity.In conclusion,we investigate the value of radiomics in screening COVID-19,and the experimental results suggest the radiomic signature could be a potential tool for diagnosis of COVID-19.Mengjie FANG Bingxi HE Li LI Di DONG Xin YANG Cong LI Lingwei MENG Lianzhen ZHONG Hailin LI Hongjun LI Jie TIAN 2020Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,7:2
