2Correlation between Traditional Chinese Medicine symptom patterns and serum concentration of zinc,iron,copper and magnesium in patients with hepatitis B and associated liver cirrhosis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the correlation between the patterns of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndromes and the serum concentration of zinc,iron,copper and magnesium of patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB) and hepatitis B virus(HBV)-induced liver cirrhosis.METHODS:A total of 86 patients were included in the study between March 1,2009 and January 1,2010.All were diagnosed with CHB or HBV-induced liver cirrhosis according to the diagnosis standard of the Chinese Medical Association.Fasting serum concentrations of zinc,iron,copper and magnesium were measured.Patients were classified into different patterns of TCM symptoms according to TCM theory and clinical experience.RESULTS:In the HBV-induced liver cirrhosis group,the mean zinc concentration in patients with the TCM pattern of stagnation of fluid-Dampness was lower than that in patients with obstruction of collaterals by Blood stasis(P < 0.034).In the CHB group,the mean magnesium concentration in patients with toxic Heat flourishing was significantly lower than that in those with Damp-Heat in the Liver and Gallbladder,and those with Liver depression and Spleen deficiency(P < 0.021).The concentrations of iron and copper showed little difference among the different TCM symptom patterns.CONCLUSION:The serum zinc and magnesium concentrations correlated with certain TCM patterns of symptoms in patients with HBV-induced liver cirrhosis and CHB.It may be helpful to interpret the pathogenic change in the TCM symptom patterns in liver cirrhosis and CHB,and also to conduct clinical treatment of the diseases based on identified TCM patterns.Teng Lichun Zhang Jiongshan Dai Min Wang Fenglin Yang Hongzhi 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,5:6
3Tailoring biochar by PHP towards the oxygenated functional groups(OFGs)-rich surface to improve adsorption performance显示文摘In this work,a modification method of H_(3)PO_(4)plus H_(2)O_(2)(PHP)was introduced to targetedly form abundant oxygenated functional groups(OFGs)on biochar,and methylene blue(MB)was employed as a model pollutant for adsorption to reflect the modification performance.Results indicated that parent biochars,especially derived from lower temperatures,substantially underwent oxidative modification by PHP,and OFGs were targetedly produced.Correspondingly,approximately 21.5-fold MB adsorption capacity was achieved by PHP-modified biochar comparing with its parent biochar.To evaluate the compatibility of PHP-modification,coefficient of variation(CV)based on MB adsorption capacity by the biochar from various precursors was calculated,in which the CV of PHP-modified biochars was 0.0038 comparing to0.64 of the corresponding parent biochars.These results suggested that the PHP method displayed the excellent feedstock compatibility on biochar modification.The maximum MB adsorption capacity was454.1 mg/g when the H_(3)PO_(4)and H_(2)O_(2)fraction in PHP were 65.2%and 7.0%;the modification was further intensified by promoting temperature and duration.Besides,average 94.5%H_(3)PO_(4)was recovered after 10-batch modification,implying 1.0 kg H_(3)PO_(4)(85%)in PHP can maximally modify 2.37 kg biochar.Overall,this work offered a novel method to tailor biochar towards OFGs-rich surface for efficient adsorption.Xinyue Xiong Zhanglin Liu Li Zhao Mei Huang Lichun Dai Dong Tian Jianmei Zou Yongmei Zeng Jinguang Hu Fei Shen 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,6:1
