1Determination of Taurine in Biological Samples by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography Using 4-Fluoro-7-Nitrobenzofurazan as a Derivatizing Agent显示文摘Objective A highly sensitive and rapid high‐performance liquid chromatography method with pre‐column derivatization with 4‐fluoro‐7‐nitrobenzofurazan was developed for determination of taurine in biological samples,including plasma,brain,and liver.Methods The optimum derivatization reaction temperature was 70℃,and at this temperature the reaction was complete within 3 min.The derivatized taurine was separated using phosphate buffer (0.02 mol/L,pH 6.0):acetonitrile (84:16,v/v) as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min,and a column temperature of 25℃.The taurine derivatives were separated within 20 min (tR:14.5 min) and fluorometrically detected at 530 nm with excitation at 470 nm.Results The intra‐ and the inter‐day coefficients of variation for the method were 5.3% and 7.7%,respectively.The calibration curve was linear from 0.1 μmol/L to 30.0 μmol/L with a correlation coefficient of 0.9995.Conclusion This method can be used to determine the taurine contents in plasma,brain,and liver from normal rats and human plasma.WANG XiFeng CHI DeFeng SU GuanMin LI Lin SHAO LiHua 2011Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,5:13
2Multi-scale image segmentation of coal piles on a belt based on the Hessian matrix显示文摘Segmenting images of coal piles on a belt is an unsolved problem in coal-based machine vision research,though it is an essential step for estimating size distribution and classifying coal.In this investigation,a new algorithm for segmenting images of coal piles on a belt is proposed.A multi-scale linear filter,constructed of a Hessian matrix and Gaussian function,forms the core of this algorithm and obtains an edge intensity image to form good seed regions for a watershed segmentation.Manual segmentation is used to define ground truth segmentation images to quantify the errors of the proposed method.Tests indicate that 12.76%of the visible regions are under- or over-segmented,and that this algorithm is feasible and effective in practical applications.Zelin Zhang JianguoYang Xiaolan Su Lihua Ding Yuling Wang 2013Particuology2013,11,5:9
3A high-resolution seismic catalog for the 2021 M_(S)6.4/M_(W)6.1 Yangbi earthquake sequence, Yunnan, China: Application of AI picker and matched filter显示文摘We present a high-resolution seismic catalog for the 2021 M_(S)6.4/M_(W)6.1 Yangbi sequence.The catalog has a time range of 2021-05-01 to 2021-05-28,and contains~8,000 well located events.It captures the features of the whole foreshock sequence and the early aftershocks.We designed a detection strategy incorporating both an artificial intelligent(AI)picker and a matched filter algorithm.Here,we adopt a hybrid AI method incorporating convolutional and recurrent neural network(CNN&RNN)for event detection and phase picking respectively(i.e.CERP),a light-weight AI picker that can be trained with small volume of data.CERP is first trained with detections from a STA/LTA and Kurtosis-based method called PAL,and then construct a rather complete template set of~4,000 events.Finally,the matched filter algorithm MESS augments the initial detections and measures differential travel times with cross-correlation,which finally results in precise relocation.This process gives 9,026 detections,among which 7,943 events can be well relocated.The catalog shows as expected power-law distribution of frequency magnitude and reveals detailed pattern of seismicity evolution.The main features are:(1)the foreshock sequence images simple fault geometry with consistent strike,but also show a variable event depth along strike;(2)the mainshock ruptures the same fault of the foreshock sequence and activate conjugate faults further to the southeast;(3)complex seismicity are developed in the post-seismic period,indicating complex triggering mechanisms.Thus,our catalog provides a reliable basis for further investigations,such as b-value studies,rupture process,and triggering relations.Yijian Zhou Abhijit Ghosh Lihua Fang Han Yue Shiyong Zhou Youjin Su 2021Earthquake Science2021,34,5:6

5New guaiane-type sesquiterpenoid dimers from Artemisia atrovirens and their antihepatoma activity显示文摘Leading by cytotoxicity against HepG2 cells,bioactivity-guided fractionation of the EtOAc fraction from Artemisia atrovirens led to the isolation of 18 new guaianolide dimers,artematrolides A-R and lavandiolides A,B,C,H,and J.Eight compounds(1,4,10,12,13,and 19-21) were unambiguously confirmed by the single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses,and the others were elucidated based on IR,UV,HRESIMS,1 D and 2 D NMR experiments,and comparison of the experimental and calculated ECD data.Structurally,all of them were [4+2] Diels-Alder adducts of two monomeric guaianolides.The isolates were evaluated for their cytotoxicity against three human hepatoma cell lines,and 19 compounds demonstrated cytotoxicity against HepG2,SMMC-7721,and Huh7 cell lines.Especially,compounds 1,12,14,and 15 exhibited cytotoxicity with IC50 values of 4.4,3.8,7.6,and 6.7 μmol/L(HepG2),9.6,4.6,6.6,and 6.0 μmol/L(SMMC-7721),and 7.6,4.5,6.9,and 5.6 μmol/L(Huh7),respectively.Notably,compound 12 showed the most promising activity against three human hepatoma cell lines and dose-dependently inhibited cell migration and invasion,induced G2/M cell cycle arrest and cell apoptosis in HepG2 cells,down-regulated the expression of BCL-2 and PARP-1,and activated PARP-1 to up-regulate the expression of cleaved-PARP-1.Lihua Su Xintian Zhang Yunbao Ma Changan Geng Xiaoyan Huang Jing Hu Tianze Li Shuang Tang Cheng Shen Zhen Gao Xuemei Zhang Ji-Jun Chen 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,6:6
6Relocation of the Foreshocks and Aftershocks of the 2021 Ms 6.4 Yangbi Earthquake Sequence,Yunnan,China显示文摘An Ms 6.4 earthquake occurred in Yangbi,Yunnan,China on May 21,2021,which has obvious foreshock activity and abundant aftershocks.Based on the seismic observation data recorded by the Yunnan Seismic Network three days before and seven days after the mainshock,a doubledifference location method was used to relocate 2133 earthquakes of the Yangbi sequence.Aftershocks are mostly distributed to the southeast of the mainshock in a unilateral rupture pattern.This sequence exhibits a SE-trending linear alignment with a length of about 25 km,and most of the focal depth is above 12 km.Integrated with the seismic distribution and focal mechanism results,we infer that the strike of the seismogenic fault is about 140°,and dipping to the SW.The fault structure revealed by the seismic sequence is complex,with the NW segment exhibiting a steep dip and relatively simple structure of strike-slip rupture and the SE segment consisting of several branching ruptures.The Yangbi Earthquake is a typical foreshock-mainshock-aftershock sequence,and the mainshock is likely triggered by the largest foreshock.This earthquake occurred in the boundary between high-and lowvelocity anomalous zone,where is susceptible to generate large earthquakes.Ting Yang Boren Li Lihua Fang Youjin Su Yusheng Zhong Jingqiong Yang Min Qin Yaji Xu 2022Journal of Earth Science2022,33,4:5
7Medicinals with properties of warming Yang and tonifying Qi in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine: their effects on left ventricular ejection fraction and aldosterone in rats with induced failure heart显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate on Left ventricular ejection fraction value and aldosterone of two medicinals of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) with the properties of warming Yang and tonifying Qi in terms of TCM theory.METHODS: An animal model of coronary ligation of heart failure after myocardial infarction was employed to study the influence of these two kinds of drugs on three batches of rats. On the basis of the average score of left ventricle ejection fraction during the investigation, there were some different groups, including Wen Yang(the warming Yang)group, Yi Qi(tonifying Qi) group, Wen Yang and Yi Qi group, captopril group, digoxin group. In additional, an artificial operation group was set for compari-son. The systemic intervention using these medicinal and drugs was taken effects on the 2nd day after the operation of myocardial infraction(MI) with once a day. At week one, two, and four after the MI treatment, evaluated were EF values, and ferritin,angiotensin-II and aldosterone in the rats' plasma.RESULTS: At week one and week two, the medicinal of Wen Yang, Yi Qi, Wen Yang pluse Yi Qi, and digoxin could improve left ventricular ejection fraction in rats with heart failure; Compared to the model group, captopril Left ventricular EF value increased, but there was not significant. At week four,heart failure and left ventricular EF values was improved in the intervention group and the other four captopril drug intervention. At week one in the rats with drug intervention, the medicinals of Yi Qi, Wen Yang plus Yi Qi, and captopril could inhibit activation in vivo hormone aldosterone in heart failure rats; aldosterone in Wen Yang group and digoxin group were not different from that in the model group at week two and four.CONCLUSION: Chinese medicinals with properties of Wen Yang, Yi Qi have significant effect on improving left ventricular EF in rats with heart failure; compared to Yi Qi medicinals, Wen Yang medicinals that inhibit the effectiveness of the time required for the activation of the role of aldosterone. 8Preparation and evaluation of bis(diallyl alkyl tertiary ammonium salt) polymer as a promising adsorbent for phosphorus removal显示文摘Problems associated with water eutrophication due to high phosphorus concentrations and related environmentally safe solutions have attracted wide attention.A novel bis(diallyl alkyl tertiary ammonium salt)polymer,particularly poly(N1,N1,N6,N6-tetraallylhexane-1,6-diammonium dichloride)(PTAHDADC),was synthesized and characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,nuclear magnetic resonance,scanning electron microscopy,mercury intrusion method,and thermogravimetric analysis.The adsorption characteristics in phosphorus were evaluated in dilute solution,and the recycling properties of PTAHDADC were investigated.Results showed that PTAHDADC possessed macropores with a size distribution ranging from 30 to 130μm concentrating at 63μm in diameter and had 46.52%of porosity,excellent thermal stability below 530 K,and insolubility.PTAHDADC could effectively remove phosphorus at p H=7–11 and had a removal efficiency exceeding 98.4%at pH=10–11.The adsorption equilibrium data of PTAHDADC for phosphorus accorded well with the Langmuir and pseudo-second-order kinetic models.Maximum adsorption capacity was 52.82 mg/g at 293 K.PTAHDADC adsorbed phosphorus rapidly and reached equilibrium within 90 min.Calculated activation energy Eawas 15.18 k J/mol.PTAHDADC presented an excellent recyclability with only 8.23%loss of removal efficiency after five adsorption–desorption cycles.The morphology and structure of PTAHDADC slightly changed as evidenced by the pre-and post-adsorption of phosphorus,but the process was accompanied by the partial deprotonation of the(–CH2)3-NH+group of PTAHDADC.The adsorption was a spontaneous exothermic process driven by entropy through physisorption,electrostatic attraction,and ion exchange.Survey results showed that PTAHDADC was a highly efficient and fast-adsorbing phosphorus-removal material prospective in treating wastewater.Zhengchi Yang Lihua Liu Lu Zhao Gang Su Zuoxiao Wei Anping Tang Jianrong Xue 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,12:3
9Bronze TiO2 as a cathode host for lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘Lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)are very promising for large-scale electrochemical energy storage.However,dissolution and shuttling of lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)intermediates have severely affected their overall electrochemical properties and limited their practical application.Designing polar cathode hosts that can effectively bind LiPSs and simultaneously promote their redox conversion is crucial for realizing high-performance LSBs.Herein,we report bronze TiO2(TiO2-B)nanosheets(~5 nm in thickness)chemically bonded with carbon as a novel multifunctional cathode host for advanced LSBs.Experimental observation and first-principles density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the TiO2-B with exposed(100)plane and Ti^3+ions exhibited high chemical affinity toward polysulfides and effectively confined them at surface.Meantime,Ti^3+ions and interface coupling with carbon promoted electronic conductivity of the composite cathode,leading to enhanced redox conversion kinetics of LiPSs during charge/discharge.Consequently,the as-assembled TiO2-B/S cathode manifested high capacity(1165 mAh/g at 0.2 C),excellent rate capability(244 mAh/g at 5 C)and outstanding cyclability(572 mAh/g over 500cycles at 0.2 C).This work sheds insights on rational design and fabrication of novel functional electrode materials for beyond Li-ion batteries.Wenjing Dong Di Wang Xiaoyun Li Yuan Yao Xu Zhao Zhao Wang Hong-En Wang Yu Li Lihua Chen Dong Qian Bao-Lian Su 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,9:2

15Comparative transcriptome and proteome analysis of lily clones inoculated with Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lilii显示文摘Basal bulb rot is the major factor restricting the production of lily,caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.lilii.To systematically analyze the transcriptomic and proteomic responses of lily clones to F.oxysporum,we constructed six RNA-seq libraries and four iTRAQ proteomic libraries using lily resistant and susceptible clones sampled at 0,24 and 48 h post-inoculation(hpi)with F.oxysporum respectively.137,715 unigenes were generated,of which 7,667 were differentially expressed.1,679 and 4,051 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)between resistant and susceptible clones were isolated from samples collected at 0 and 48 hpi.Four hundred and thirty three and 155 DEGs were identified in resistant clones sampled at 24 and 48 hpi separately while 550 and 799 DEGs were isolated in the susceptible clones sampled at 24 and 48 hpi respectively.The results of iTRAQ analysis revealed 7,482 proteins in resistant and susceptible clones.Data analysis of transcriptome and proteome indicated that 5,735 proteins corresponded to mRNAs.Three hundred and sixteen and 1,052 DEGs had corresponding DEPs.At 48 hpi,the resistant clones showed 155 DEGs and 108 corresponding DEPs,while the susceptible clones showed 799 DEGs and 316 corresponding DEPs.In general,these results enhance comprehension of the defense response of lily resistant clones to F.oxysporum infection and provide valuable sequence data for studying the resistance mechanism.Yiping Zhang Xin Wang Chunlian Jin Feng Xu Xiumei Yang Yalian Jiang Lifang Zhang Lihua Wang Yan Su Lulin Ma Jihua Wang 2022Ornamental Plant Research2022,2,1:1

17Effect of high pressure torsion process on the microhardness,microstructure and tribological property of Ti6Al4V alloy显示文摘In the present study,a fully lamellar Ti6Al4V alloy was severely deformed by high pressure torsion(HPT)process under a pressure of 7.5 GPa up to 10 revolutions.Experimental results revealed that the microhardness of Ti6Al4V was increased remarkably by about~41%and saturated at about 432 Hv after the HPT process.A relatively uniform bulk nanostructured Ti6Al4V alloy with an average grain size of about52.7 nm was obtained eventually,and no obvious formation of metastableωphase was detected by XRD analysis.For the first time,the tribological properties of the HPT processed Ti6Al4V alloy were investigated by a ball-on-disc test at room temperature under a dry condition.It was found that HPT process had a great influence on the friction and wear behaviors of Ti6Al4V alloy.With increasing the number of HPT revolutions,both friction coefficient and specific wear rate were obviously decreased due to the reduction of abrasion and adhesion wears.After being deformed by 10 HPT revolutions,the friction coefficient was reduced from about 0.49 to 0.37,and the specific wear rate was reduced by about 48%.The observations in this study indicated that HPT processed Ti6Al4V alloys had good potential in structural applications owing to their greatly improved mechanical and tribological properties.Guanyu Deng Xing Zhao Lihong Su Peitang Wei Liang Zhang Lihua Zhan Yan Chong Hongtao Zhu Nobuhiro Tsuji 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,35:1
