1Somatic Embryogenesis Receptor Kinases Control Root Development Mainly via Brassinosteroid-Independent Actions in Arabidopsis thaliana显示文摘Brassinosteroids(BRs),a group of plant steroidal hormones,play critical roles in many aspects of plant growth and development.Previous studies showed that BRI1-mediated BR signaling regulates cell division and differentiation during Arabidopsis root development via interplaying with auxin and other phytohormones.Arabidopsis somatic embryogenesis receptor-like kinases(SERKs),as co-receptors of BRI1,were found to play a fundamental role in an early activation step of BR signaling pathway.Here we report a novel function of SERKs in regulating Arabidopsis root development.Genetic analyses indicated that SERKs control root growth mainly via a BR-independent pathway.Although BR signaling pathway is completely disrupted in the serk1 bak1 bkk1 triple mutant,the root growth of the triple mutant is much severely damaged than the BR deficiency or signaling null mutants.More detailed analyses indicated that the triple mutant exhibited drastically reduced expression of a number of genes critical to polar auxin transport,cell cycle,endodermis development and root meristem differentiation,which were not observed in null BR biosynthesis mutant cpd and null BR signaling mutant bri1-701.Junbo Du Hongju Yin Shasha Zhang Zhuoyun Wei Baolin Zhao Jinghua Zhang Xiaoping Gou Honghui Lin Jia Li 2012Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2012,54,6:22
2Community structure of macrobenthos in coastal water off Rushan, southern Shandong Peninsula, and the relationships with environmental factors显示文摘To understand the present actuality of the marine ecosystem in the southern coastal water region of the Shandong Peninsula and the impact of the global change and the human activities to the marine ecosystem of the region, the macrobenthic community structure was researched based on data from 26 sampling stations carried out on four seasonal cruises from December 2006 to November 2007. The data was analyzed using PRIMER 6.0 and SPSS 15.0 software packages. The results showed that 236 macrobenthic species in total were collected from the research region by the field works. Most of the species belong to Polychaeta (76 species), Mollusca (75) and Crustacea (60). Of which, 33 species were common species by the four cruises. The dominant species were different among the four seasons, however, the polychaete species Nephtys oligobranchia and Sternaspis scutata were always dominant in the four seasons. The abundances and biomasses of the macrobenthos from the research region were variable in the four seasons. The results of CLUSTER and MDS analysis showed that the similarities of macrobenthic structures among the stations were low, most of the similarities were at about 40% of similarity values, only that of two stations were up to 60%. In accordance with the similarity values of the macrobenthic structures, the 26 stations were clustered as six groups at arbitrary similarity level of 30%. The ABC curve indicated that the marcofauna communities in the research region had not been disturbed distinctly. 3Clinical analysis of intracranial germinoma's craniospinal irradiation using helical tomotherapy显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the short-term clinical outcomes of intracranial germinoma patients treated with craniospinal irradiation(CSI) using helical tomotherapy(HT) system in our center. Methods: Twenty-three patients who were treated with CSI in our center from January 2008 to July 2012 were collected, with an average age of 20. All of the patients' CSI used the HT system. The total doses were 27-36 Gy/15-20 F(1.5-2 Gy per fraction), and total local doses were 46-60 Gy/30-50 F(5 fractions per week). All female patients for CSI were treated with left-right parallel-opposed field irradiation to protect their ovarian functions. Median follow-up time was 30.9 months(range, 5-67 months). The SPSS19.0 software was used, and the overall survival(OS) was calculated using the Kaplan-Meier method.Results: Among 17 patients with assessable tumors, 9 cases(52.9%) were CR, 7 cases(41.2%) were PR, and 1 case(5.9%) was SD. Hematological toxicity was the severest side-effect occurred in the procedure of CSI. The level 1-4 acute leukopenia were 8.7%, 30.4%, 34.8% and 21.7% and the level 1-4 acute thrombopenia were 8.7%, 30.4%, 21.7% and 8.7%, respectively.Conclusions: For primary intracranial germinomas, HT can be used to implement CSI for simplifying radiotherapy procedures, improving radiotherapy accuracy, enhancing protection of peripheral organs at risk(ORA) and guaranteeing therapeutic effects. 6Sea-Salt Aerosol Effects on the Simulated Microphysics and Precipitation in a Tropical Cyclone显示文摘We investigate the effects of sea-salt aerosol(SSA) activated as cloud condensation nuclei on the microphysical processes, precipitation, and thermodynamics of a tropical cyclone(TC). The Weather Research and Forecasting model coupled with Chemistry(WRF-Chem) was used together with a parameterization of SSA production. Three simulations, with different levels of SSA emission(CTL, LOW, HIGH), were conducted. The simulation results show that SSA contributes to the processes of autoconversion of cloud water and accretion of cloud water by rain,thereby promoting rain formation. The latent heat release increases with SSA emission, slightly increasing horizontal wind speeds of the TC. The presence of SSA also regulates the thermodynamic structure and precipitation of the TC.In the HIGH simulation, higher latent heat release gives rise to stronger updrafts in the TC eyewall area, leading to enhanced precipitation. In the LOW simulation, due to decreased latent heat release, the temperature in the TC eye is lower, enhancing the downdrafts in the region; and because of conservation of mass, updrafts in the eyewall also strengthen slightly; as a result, precipitation in the LOW experiment is a little higher than that in the CTL experiment.Overall, the relationship between the precipitation rate and SSA emission is nonlinear.Baolin JIANG Wenshi LIN Fangzhou LI Junwen CHEN 2019Journal of Meteorological Research2019,33,1:1

10A novel carbon cycle process assisted by Ni/La_(2)O_(3) catalyst for enhanced thermochemical CO_(2) splitting显示文摘Thermochemical two-step CO_(2) splitting is a potential approach that fixes the sustainable resource into transportable liquid fuels.However,the harsh CO_(2) splitting conditions,the limited oxygen release kinetics and capacity of metal oxides block further promoted the CO yield and solar-to-fuel energy efficiency.Here,we propose a different carbon cycle assisted by Ni/La_(2)O_(3) via coupling methane decomposition with thermochemical CO_(2) splitting,replacing conventional metal oxides cycle.Superior performance was demonstrated with methane conversion reached around 94%with almost pure H_(2) generation.Encouragingly,CO_(2) conversion of 98%and CO yield of 6.9 mmol g^(-1) derived from CO_(2) were achieved,with peak CO evolution rate(402 mL min^(-1) g^(-1))of orders of magnitude higher than that in metal oxide process and outstanding thermodynamic solar-to-fuel energy efficiency(55.5%vs.18.5%).This was relevant to the synergistic activation of La_(2)O_(3) and Ni for CO_(2) in carbon cycle,thus improving CO_(2) splitting reaction with carbon species.Yu Kang Yujia Han Cong Wei Kuo Liu Ming Tian Chuande Huang Chaojie Wang Jian Lin Baolin Hou Xiaoli Pan Yang Su Lin Li Riguang Zhang Yong Hao Xiaodong Wang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,10:0
