| 1 | High-Performance Photo-Modulated Thin-Film Transistor Based on Quantum dots/Reduced Graphene Oxide Fragment-Decorated ZnO Nanowires显示文摘In this paper, a photo-modulated transistor based on the thin-film transistor structure was fabricated on the flexible substrate by spin-coating and magnetron sputtering. A novel hybrid material that composed of Cd Se quantum dots and reduced graphene oxide(RGO) fragment-decorated ZnO nanowires was synthesized to overcome the narrow optical sensitive waveband and enhance the photo-responsivity. Due to the enrichment of the interface and heterostructure by RGO fragments being utilized, the photo-responsivity of the transistor was improved to 2000 AW^(-1) and the photo-sensitive wavelength was extended from ultraviolet to visible. In addition, a positive back-gate voltage was employed to reduce the Schottky barrier width of RGO fragments and ZnO nanowires. As a result, the amount of carriers was increased by 10 folds via the modulation of back-gate voltage. | 2 | Contribution of Water Vapor to the Record-Breaking Extreme Meiyu Rainfall along the Yangtze River Valley in 2020显示文摘A record-breaking extreme Meiyu rainfall occurred along the Yangtze River valley(YRV)in 2020 since 1961,persisting from 11 June to 31 July with the largest amount and the highest intensity.From the aspect of water vapor,the causes of its formation are revealed in this study.The 2020 Meiyu rainfall amount is directly attributed to the greatly enhanced vertically integrated water vapor transport(IVT)convergence,which is in turn primarily determined by the mean circulation dynamic(MCD)contribution associated with anomalous East Asian summer monsoon(EASM)and the thermodynamic component(TH)contribution due to water vapor anomaly.The MCD contribution is mainly responsible for the extreme Meiyu rainfall amount and abundant water vapor convergence in the YRV,whereas the TH contribution tends to shift Meiyu rain belt northward to the Yangtze-Huaihe River valley,extending the Meiyu rainfall coverage area.Furthermore,the excessive moist static energy(MSE)associated with the largest water vapor anomaly could substantially increase the atmospheric instability,favoring the extreme 2020 Meiyu rainfall intensity.In terms of the tremendous IVT to the YRV from both the South China Sea and Bay of Bengal during the 2020 Meiyu period,the low-level anticyclone anomalies over the western North Pacific(WNP)and Bay of Bengal provide appropriate atmospheric circulation conditions,and they are generated by the super suppressed WNP convective activities as a Matsuno-Gill type response,which are further attributed to the combined warm SST anomalies in both the tropical western Indian Ocean(TWIO)and tropical Atlantic Ocean(TAO)eventually. | Licheng WANG Xuguang SUN Xiuqun YANG Lingfeng TAO Zhiqi ZHANG | 2021 | Journal of Meteorological Research2021,35,4: | 1 |
| 3 | How does working from home affect developer productivity?-A case study of Baidu during the COVID-19 pandemic显示文摘Nowadays,working from home(WFH)has become a popular work arrangement due to its many potential benefits for both companies and employees(e.g.,increasing job satisfaction and retention of employees).Many previous studies have investigated the impact of WFH on the productivity of employees.However,most of these studies usually use a qualitative analysis method such as surveys and interviews,and the studied participants do not work from home for a long continuing time.Due to the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),a large number of companies asked their employees to work from home,which provides us an opportunity to investigate whether WFH affects their productivity.In this study,to investigate the difference in developer productivity between WFH and working onsite,we conduct a quantitative analysis based on a dataset of developers’daily activities from Baidu Inc.,one of the largest IT companies in China.In total,we collected approximately four thousand records of 139 developers’activities of 138 working days.Out of these records,1103 records are submitted when developers work from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.We find that WFH has both positive and negative impacts on developer productivity in terms of different metrics,e.g.,the number of builds/commits/code reviews.We also notice that WFH has different impacts on projects with different characteristics including programming language,project type/age/size.For example,WFH has a negative impact on developer productivity for large projects.Additionally,we find that productivity varies for different developers.Based on these findings,we get some feedback from developers of Baidu and understand some reasons why WFH has different impacts on developer productivity.We also conclude several implications for both companies and developers. | Lingfeng BAO Tao LI Xin XIA Kaiyu ZHU Hui LI Xiaohu YANG | 2022 | Science China(Information Sciences)2022,65,4: | 0 |

| 5 | Trophic gauntlet effects on fisheries recovery:a case study in Sansha Bay,China显示文摘Low biological productivity causes ecosystem energy deficiency.Sansha Bay is an important spawning and nursery ground for migratory fish in the East China Sea(ECS).There is significant mariculture in this area,but stock enhancement programs and seasonal fishery closures have failed to recover populations of the commercially important species,Larimichthys crocea.We want to figure out the potential reason of unsuccessful L.crocea resource in recent 30 years.In this study,the trophic status of L.crocea,the food source proportions of L.crocea and zooplankton,and the food web structure and functioning of Sansha Bay was analyzed.A high nutrient low chlorophyll phenomenon was observed:this prevented harmful algal blooms,and phytoplankton growth was restrained by intensive macroalgal culture,resulting in a low abundance of zooplankton in Sansha Bay.Phytoplankton was the most important food source of zooplankton,and zooplankton was the greatest food source of juvenile L.crocea.Analyzed L.crocea suffered from starvation.Crucially,most of the phytoplankton was not used efficiently in the Sansha Bay ecosystem.This study suggests that trophic bottleneck,caused by food limitation,is a potential reason for unsuccessful fishery recovery in enclosed bay with macroalgal culture. | Bin Xie Cheng Huang Ya Wang Xijie Zhou Guogan Peng Yancheng Tao Jiaju Huang Xiaoqing Lin Lingfeng Huang | 2021 | Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2021,7,1: | 0 |

| 8 | Countermeasures for China's Ecological Environment Construction in Land Reclamation显示文摘Basic situation of the current ecological environment construction in land consolidation and rehabilitation of China is introduced. The related advanced experience abroad is summarized from mainly four aspects, namely policy, system as well as subject development, planning guidance, design method of project planning and engineering study, and practical countermeasures to China's ecological environment construction in land reclamation are proposed. In terms of policy, system and subject, relevant regulations, policies and system construction should be strengthened and the framework of policy, system and subject development in ecological landscape construction of China's land reclamation should be proposed, integrating ecological environment construction into land reclamation. At the level of strategic planning, the spatial layout and construction key points of green infrastructure in land reclamation of 'urban multi-functional developing region, eastern economic developed region, central modern agricultural region and northwestern ecological fragile region' should be achieved. At the level of project planning design, ecological principles, sustainable landscape design principles and vernacular landscape design methods are to be integrated into the planning procedure to form operable technique regulations or introductions.
