1Nrf2/ARE pathway activation is involved in negatively regulating heat-induced apoptosis in non-small cell lung cancer cells显示文摘Hyperthermia,particularly in combination with chemoradiotherapy,is widely used to treat various cancers.However,hyperthermia treatment is often insufficient due to thermo-tolerance.To date,the detailed mechanism underlying thermo-tolerance has not been clarified.The nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)/antioxidant response element(ARE)pathway is an important cellular cytoprotective defense system that is activated by various stresses.In this study,using immunocytochemistry and western blot analysis,we demonstrated that heat stress induced Nrf2/ARE activation through the nuclear translocation of Nrf2 in non-small cell lung cancer cells.Luciferase activity was also increased.Additionally,antioxidant enzymes were increased through Nrf2 activation after heat stress.Transfection of lung cancer cells with siRNA directed against Nrf2 increased heat cytotoxicity and cell apoptosis.Heat stress could induce reactive oxygen species(ROS)accumulation,while the antioxidant NAC obviously reduced cell apoptosis ratio,indicating that heat stress induced cell apoptosis in a ROS-dependent manner.Knockdown of Nrf2 led to an abnormal elevation of ROS,and the antioxidant NAC could increase Nrf2 activation,indicating that ROS and Nrf2 act within a negative feedback loop.Taken together,these results demonstrated that Nrf2 pathway is important for maintaining resistance to heat stress,and we postulated that Nrf2 may represent a potential therapeutic target for hyperthermia in lung cancer.Wenyue Xie Benxu Tan Zhenzhou Yang Xian Yu Lingxiu Chen Danhua Ran Qing Xu Xiangdong Zhou 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,4:2
2Influence of seeding promoters on the properties of CVD grown monolayer molybdenum disulfide显示文摘Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) is the most efficient method to grow large-area two dimensional (2D) transition metal dichiacogenides (TMDCs) in high quality.Monolayer molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) and seed-assistant are the mostly selected 2D TMDC and growth strategy for such CVD processes,respectively.Though the advantages of seed catalysts in facilitating the nucleation,achieving higher yield and better repeatability,as well as their effects on the morphologies of as-grown MoS2 have been studied,the influence of seeding promoters on both optical and electrical properties of as-grown monolayer MoS2 is not known comprehensively,which is indeed critical for understanding fundamental physics and developing practical application of such emerging 2D semiconductors.In this report,we systematically investigated the effect of different seeding promoters on the properties of CVD-grown monolayer MoS2.It is found that different seed molecules lead to different impacts on the optical and electrical properties of as-grown monolayer MoS2.Among three different seed catalysts (perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic acid tetrapotassium salt (PTAS),copper phthalocyanine (CuPc),and crystal violet (CV)),PTAS performs better in obtaining large area monolayer MoS2 with good optical quality and high electrical mobility than the other two.Our work gives a guide for modifying the properties of as-grown monolayer MoS2 and other 2D transition metal dichalcogenides in seeding promoters-assisted synthesis process.Peng Yang Ai-Guo Yang Lingxiu Chen Jing Chen Youwei Zhang Haomin Wang Laigui Hu Rong-Jun Zhang Ran Liu Xin-Ping Qu Zhi-Jun Qiu Chunxiao Cong 2019Nano Research2019,12,4:2
3Effects of Addition of Amino Acids or Soybean Phospholipid in Diet on Slaughter Performance and Meat Quality of Pigs显示文摘[Objectives]The study aims to discuss the effects of addition of arginine and glutamic acid or soybean phospholipid,vitamin E and yeast selenium in diet on the slaughter performance and meat quality of long(white)×large(York)binary hybrid pigs.[Methods]27 long×large castrated hybrid boars with the body weight of(54.4±0.15)kg were randomly divided into 3 groups,with 3 replicates per group and 3 pigs per replicate.Group A was the control group,in which the pigs were fed basal diet;in group B,0.8%arginine and 0.60%glutamate were added to the basal diet;in group C,75 g of soybean phospholipid,20 g of vitamin E and 8 g of yeast selenium were added to every 100 kg of the basal diet.The trial period was 60 d.After the experiment was ended,one test pig with similar body weight was selected from each replicate for slaughter and meat determination.[Results]The average weight gain and eye muscle area of the pigs in group B were significantly higher than those in group C(P<0.05),and also showed an increasing trend compared with group A,but there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05);there was no significant difference between group B or C and group A in the average weight gain and eye muscle area(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in other slaughter performance between the three groups(P>0.05).Besides,there was also no significant difference in the content of various amino acids,total amino acids and total umami amino acids between the three groups(P>0.05).The inosine content in the longissimus dorsi muscle and muscle cooking loss of binary hybrid pigs in group C were significantly better than those in group B(P<0.05),and also had a tendency to be better than those in group A,but there was no significant difference(P>0.05);there was no significant difference between group B or C and group A in the inosine content and muscle cooking loss of the pigs(P>0.05).In addition,there was no significant difference in other meat traits and chemical composition of the longissimus dorsi muscle between group B or C and group A(P>0.05).[Conclusions]The addition of arginine and glutamic acid or soybean phospholipid,vitamin E and yeast selenium in diet had no significant effect on the growth rate,slaughter performance and meat traits of long×large binary hybrid pigs.Sicong LUO Shaobo LI Xiangyun HU Min CHEN Lingxiu GAN Tingju HUANG Wenjie LU Junxiang HUANG Haimei DENG Jiahuang YANG Cui YANG Xiuliang LI 2023Asian Agricultural Research2023,15,4:0
