| 2 | Immune Responses to Six Synthetic Peptides of Capsid Protein with Sera from HIV-1 Infected Individuals显示文摘Many B cell epitopes within p24 of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) were identified, while most of them were determined by using murine monoclonal antibodies reacting with overlapping peptides of p24.Therefore these epitopes may not represent the actual epitopes recognized by the HIV-1 infected individuals. In the present study, immune responses of 67 HIV-1 positive sera from Yunnan Province, China to five peptides on p24 of HIV-1 and one of HIV-2 were analyzed. All of 67 sera did not recognize peptide GA-12 on HIV-1 and peptide AG-23 on HIV-2, which indicated that GA-12 was not human B cell epitope and AG-23 did not cross-react with HIV-1 positive serum. | 5 | Application of Polyaniline Incorporated Carbon Particles Coated Platinum Electrode in Coulometric Titration to Determination of Polyisoprene Alcohol显示文摘The feasibility of using electrodes modified with polyaniline incorporated carbon particles films for improving the precision of coulometric titration is demonstrated. The problem of large deviation produced during determining polyisoprene by coulometric titration with direct titration technique(double Pt electrodes indicating electrode) has been solved. In the titration process, polyisoprene alcohol, an electro-inactive species, is adsorbed on the surface of the bare Pt electrode, which inhibits the electrode reaction of Br - and Br 2. Therefore, when the titration reaches the end-point, the detected current will slowly change with time, which can make the repeatability of end-point poor. The atomic force microscopic images show the morphology of the electrode surface of adsorbing polyisoprene alcohol. The application of the chemically modified electrode instead of the bare Pt electrode to indicating the end-point has been investigated. The results show that the Pt electrode coated with polyaniline incorporated carbon particles films is an excellent indicator electrode. This electrode has advantages that the indicating signals are sharp and repeatable at end-point. | 6 | Seco-cyclic phorbol derivatives and their anti-HIV-1 activities显示文摘Phorbol esters are recognized for their dual role as anti-HIV-1 agents and as activators of protein kinase C(PKC).The efficacy of phorbol esters in binding with PKC is attributed to the presence of oxygen groups at positions C20,C3/C4,and C9 of phorbol.Concurrently,the lipids located at positions C12/C13 are essential for both the anti-HIV-1 activity and the formation of the PKC-ligand complex.The influence of the cyclopropane ring at positions C13 and C14 in phorbol derivatives on their anti-HIV-1 activity requires further exploration.This research entailed the hydrolysis of phorbol,producing seco-cyclic phorbol derivatives.The anti-HIV-1 efficacy of these derivatives was assessed,and the affinity constant(Kd)for PKC-δprotein of selected seco-cyclic phorbol derivatives was determined through isothermal titration calorimetry.The findings suggest that the chemical modification of cyclopropanols could affect both the anti-HIV-1 activity and the PKC binding affinity.Remarkably,compound S11,with an EC50 of 0.27μmol·L^(−1) and a CC50 of 153.92μmol·L^(−1),demonstrated a potent inhibitory effect on the intermediate products of HIV-1 reverse transcription(ssDNA and 2LTR),likely acting at the viral entry stage,yet showed no affinity for the PKC-δprotein.These results position compound S11 as a potential candidate for further preclinical investigation and for studies aimed at elucidating the pharmacological mechanism underlying its anti-HIV-1 activity. | HUANG Xiaolei HUANG Xusheng LI Qirun MA Mengdi CUI Yadong YANG Liumeng WANG Haibo LUO Ronghua CHEN Jinglei YANG Jingxuan LIN Jinrong LI Duxin ZHENG Yongtang ZHANG Jian | 2024 | Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2024,22,4: | 0 |

| 8 | Control Emotion Intensity for LSTM-Based Expressive Speech Synthesis显示文摘To improve the performance of human-computer interaction interfaces, emotion is considered to be one of the most important factors. The major objective of expressive speech synthesis is to inject various expressions reflecting different emotions to the synthesized speech. To effectively model and control the emotion, emotion intensity is introduced for expressive speech synthesis model to generate speech conveyed the delicate and complicate emotional states. The system was composed of an emotion analysis module with the goal of extracting control emotion intensity vector and a speech synthesis module responsible for mapping text characters to speech waveform. The proposed continuous variable “perception vector” is a data-driven approach of controlling the model to synthesize speech with different emotion intensities. Compared with the system using a one-hot vector to control emotion intensity, this model using perception vector is able to learn the high-level emotion information from low-level acoustic features.
