1Exploratory study on new pulse detonation engines显示文摘The worldwide progress in studies on pulse detonation engines (PDE) is briefly reviewed and some results of our exploratory study on PDE are presented. Analysis of thermodynamic cycle is made and the specific impulse formula is improved. A proof-of-principle experiment of a two-phase PDE is successfully carried out, using poor-detonable liquid C8H16/air mixture with a low-energy system (total spark energy of 50 mJ) and a newly developed one-step detonation initiation method. The measured detonation wave pressure ratio is very close to that of C-J detonation. The effects of length, diameter and detonation frequency on PDE performance are experimentally investigated. For liquid hydrocarbon fuel/air mixture, the PDE operation is successfully realized with an engine length of 1000 mm and detonation frequency up to 36 Hz, which has made an important step toward practical PDE. The developed code can be used for simulating PDE operation processes including deflagration to detonation transition (DDT) phenomenon. 5Quantitative trait locus mapping of yield and plant height in autotetraploid alfalfa(Medicago sativa L.)显示文摘Alfalfa(Medicago sativa L.)is the most widely grown forage legume crop worldwide.Yield and plant height are important agronomic traits influenced by genetic and environmental factors.The objective of this study was to identify quantitative trait loci(QTL)and molecular markers associated with alfalfa yield and plant height.To understand the genetic basis of these traits,a full-sib F1 population composed of 392 individuals was developed by crossing a low-yielding precocious alfalfa genotype(male parent)with a high-yielding latematuring alfalfa cultivar(female parent).The linkage maps were constructed with 3818 single-nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)markers on 64 linkage groups.QTL for yield and plant height were mapped using phenotypic data for three years.Sixteen QTL associated with yield and plant height were identified on chromosomes 1 to 8.Six QTL explained more than 10%of phenotypic variation,representing major loci controlling yield and plant height.One locus on chromosome 1 controlling yield traits had not been identified in previous studies.Three QTL co-located with other QTL(qyield-1 and qheight-7,qheight-5 and qyield-4,qheight-6,and qyield-6).With further validation,the markers closely linked with these QTL may be used for marker-assisted selection in breeding new alfalfa varieties with high yield.Fei He Ruicai Long Tiejun Zhang Fan Zhang Zhen Wang Xijiang Yang Xueqian Jiang Changfu Yang Xuxin Zhi Mingna Li Longxi Yu Junmei Kang Qingchuan Yang 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,5:1

12Sulfonate-Functionalized Polyoxovanadate-Based Metal-Organic Polyhedra for Enhanced Proton Conduction via the Synergy of Linker and Metal Cluster Vertex显示文摘Metal-organic polyhedra(MOPs)have emerged as novel porous platforms for proton conduction,however,the concerted employment of both linker and metal cluster vertex is rarely applied for the fabrication of MOPs-based high conducting materials.Herein we report the synthesis of sulfonate-functionalized polyoxovanadate-based MOPs for enhanced proton conduction via the synergistic effect from linker and metal cluster node.MOPs 1 and 2 exhibit octahedral cage configuration constructed from{V_(5)O_(9)Cl}vertex and 5-sulfoisophthalate linker.Owing to the ordered packing of octahedral cages along three axes,3D interpenetrated open channels that are lined with high-density sulfonates are thus formed within 2.Coupled with the proton-conductive{V_(5)O_(9)Cl}vertexs as well as protonated counterions,an extensive H-bonded network is therefore generated for facile proton transfer.2 exhibits high proton conductivity of 3.02×10^(-2)S cm^(-1)at 65℃under 90%RH,recording the highest value for MOPs pellet sample.This value is enhanced~1order of magnitude compared with that of carboxylate-functionalized analogue 3,clearly illustrating the advantage of combining linker and metal cluster node for enhanced proton conduction.This work will further promote the exploitation of high proton conductive MOPs-based materials by the synergy design strategy.Yu Zhang Shan-Shan Liu Bo Li Hanqi You Longxi Zhang Zhenyi Zhang Hong-Ying Zang Qi Zheng Weimin Xuan 2022Chinese Journal of Structural Chemistry2022,41,8:0
13Annotating TSSs in Multiple Cell Types Based on DNA Sequence and RNA-seq Data via DeeReCT-TSS显示文摘The accurate annotation of transcription start sites(TSSs)and their usage are critical for the mechanistic understanding of gene regulation in different biological contexts.To fulfill this,specific high-throughput experimental technologies have been developed to capture TSSs in a genome-wide manner,and various computational tools have also been developed for in silico prediction of TSSs solely based on genomic sequences.Most of these computational tools cast the problem as a binary classification task on a balanced dataset,thus resulting in drastic false positive predictions when applied on the genome scale.Here,we present Dee Re CT-TSS,a deep learningbased method that is capable of identifying TSSs across the whole genome based on both DNA sequence and conventional RNA sequencing data.We show that by effectively incorporating these two sources of information,Dee Re CT-TSS significantly outperforms other solely sequence-based methods on the precise annotation of TSSs used in different cell types.Furthermore,we develop a meta-learning-based extension for simultaneous TSS annotations on 10 cell types,which enables the identification of cell type-specific TSSs.Finally,we demonstrate the high precision of DeeReCT-TSS on two independent datasets by correlating our predicted TSSs with experimentally defined TSS chromatin states.The source code for Dee Re CT-TSS is available at http://gffzzec4b27d8b73d463aswxb66oc955ov6fun.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/Joshua Chou2018/Dee Re CT-TSS_release and http://gffzz77e3413bc06540edswxb66oc955ov6fun.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/biocode/tools/BT007316.Juexiao Zhou Bin Zhang Haoyang Li Longxi Zhou Zhongxiao Li Yongkang Long Wenkai Han Mengran Wang Huanhuan Cui Jingjing Li Wei Chen Xin Gao 2022Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2022,20,5:0
