1青海互助丰台卡约文化遗址孢粉分析与人类活动研究——化石和现代表土花粉分析结果显示文摘采用相差分析方法,区分出禾本科植物中的农作物花粉;通过对青海互助丰台卡约文化遗址文化层和丰台村周围现代表土样品的孢粉分析,发现孢粉组合中有农作物花粉,反映人类农耕活动对聚落及其周围孢粉组合有明显的影响;文化层样品的孢粉组合显示,卡约文化早期阶段,禾本科植物花粉明显多于晚期阶段,可能反映了卡约文化时期(约公元前1200-800年)农业在社会经济中地位逐步下降的过程;孢粉组合还显示,与现代丰台村相比,卡约文化时期,聚落周围有更多的禾本科植物生长,人类可利用的植物资源比现代丰富。研究结果将有助于综合研究西北地区青铜时代环境与人类文化的关系。靳桂云 王巍 M.Wagner P.E.Tarasov 2006华夏考古2006,,3:10
2Designing the new generation of intelligent biocompatible carriers for protein and peptide delivery显示文摘Therapeutic proteins and peptides have revolutionized treatment for a number of diseases, and the expected increase in macromolecule-based therapies brings a new set of challenges for the pharmaceutics field. Due to their poor stability, large molecular weight, and poor transport properties,therapeutic proteins and peptides are predominantly limited to parenteral administration. The short serum half-lives typically require frequent injections to maintain an effective dose, and patient compliance is a growing issue as therapeutic protein treatments become more widely available. A number of studies have underscored the relationship of subcutaneous injections with patient non-adherence, estimating that over half of insulin-dependent adults intentionally skip injections. The development of oral formulations has the potential to address some issues associated with non-adherence including the interference with daily activities, embarrassment, and injection pain. Oral delivery can also help to eliminate the adverse effects and scar tissue buildup associated with repeated injections. However, there are several major challenges associated with oral delivery of proteins and peptides, such as the instability in the gastrointestinal(GI)tract, low permeability, and a narrow absorption window in the intestine. This review provides a detailed overview of the oral delivery route and associated challenges. 4Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation for acute respiratory distress syndrome in burn patients:a case series and literature update显示文摘Background:Acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS)has a reported incidence of 34–43%in ventilated burn patients and is associated with a mortality of 59%in the severe form.The use and experience with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO)in burn patients developing ARDS are still limited.We present our results and discuss the significance of ECMO in treating burn patients.Methods:A retrospective analysis of burn patients treated with ECMO for ARDS between January 2017 and January 2019 was performed.Demographic,clinical,and outcome data were collected and analyzed.Results:Eight burn patients were treated at our institution with ECMO in the designated time period.Of these,all but one patient had inhalation injury,burn percentage of TBSA was 37±23%,ABSI score was 8.4±2,and R-Bauxscore was 98±21.Seven patients developed severe ARDS and one patient moderate ARDS according to the Berlin classification with a PaO_(2)/FiO_(2) ratio upon initiation of ECMO therapy of 62±22 mmHg.ECMO duration was 388±283 h.Three patients died from severe sepsis while five patients survived to hospital discharge.Conclusions:ECMO is a viable therapy option in burn patients developing severe ARDS and can contribute to survival rates similar to ECMO therapy in non-burn-associated severe ARDS.Consequently,patients with severe respiratory insufficiency with unsuccessful conventional treatment and suspected worsening should be transferred to burn units with the possibility of ECMO treatment to improve outcome.Mehran Dadras Johannes M.Wagner Christoph Wallner Julika Huber Dirk Buchwald Justus Strauch Kamran Harati Nicolai Kapalschinski Björn Behr Marcus Lehnhardt 2019Burns & Trauma2019,7,1:2

7No evidence for enzootic plague within black-tailed prairie dog(Cynomys ludovicianus)populations显示文摘Yersinia pestis,causative agent of plague,occurs throughout the western United States in rodent populations and periodically causes epizootics in susceptible species,including black-tailed prairie dogs(Cynomys ludovicianus).How Y.pestis persists long-term in the environment between these epizootics is poorly understood but multiple mechanisms have been proposed,including,among others,a separate enzootic transmission cycle that maintains Y.pestis without involvement of epizootic hosts and persistence of Y.pestis within epizootic host populations without causing high mortality within those populations.We live-trapped and collected fleas from black-tailed prairie dogs and other mammal species from sites with and without black-tailed prairie dogs in 2004 and 2005 and tested all fleas for presence of Y.pestis.Y.pestis was not detected in 2126 fleas collected in 2004 but was detected in 294 fleas collected from multiple sites in 2005,before and during a widespread epizootic that drastically reduced black-tailed prairie dog populations in the affected colonies.Temporal and spatial patterns of Y.pestis occurrence in fleas and genotyping of Y.pestis present in some infected fleas suggest Y.pestis was introduced multiple times from sources outside the study area and once introduced,was dispersed between several sites.We conclude Y.pestis likely was not present in these black-tailed prairie dog colonies prior to epizootic activity in these colonies.Although we did not identify likely enzootic hosts,we found evidence that deer mice(Peromyscus maniculatus)may serve as bridging hosts for Y.pestis between unknown enzootic hosts and black-tailed prairie dogs.Rebecca E.COLMAN R.Jory BRINKERHOFF Joseph D.BUSCH Chris RAY Adina DOYLE Jason W.SAHL Paul KEIM Sharon K.COLLINGE David M.WAGNER 2021Integrative Zoology2021,16,6:0
