| 1 | Iron-group electrocatalysts for ambient nitrogen reduction reaction in aqueous media显示文摘Electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR)is considered as an alternative to the industrial Haber-Bosch process for NH3 production due to both low energy consumption and environment friendliness.However,the major problem of electrochemical NRR is the unsatisfied efficiency and selectivity of electrocatalyst.As one group of the cheapest and most abundant transition metals,iron-group(Fe,Co,Ni and Cu)electrocatalysts show promising potential on cost and performance advantages as ideal substitute for traditional noble-metal catalysts.In this minireview,we summarize recent advances of iron-group-based materials(including their oxides,hydroxides,nitrides,sulfides and phosphides,etc.)as non-noble metal electrocatalysts towards ambient N2-to-NH3 conversion in aqueous media.Strategies to boost NRR performances and perspectives for future developments are discussed to provide guidance for the field of NRR studies. | Benyuan Ma Haitao Zhao Tingshuai Li Qian Liu Yongsong Luo Chengbo Li Siyu Lu Abdullah M.Asiri Dongwei Ma Xuping Sun | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,3: | 8 |
| 2 | Grain refinement of Mg-Al alloys inoculated by MgAl_(2)O_(4)powder显示文摘As a potent nucleating substrate forα-Mg grain,MgAl_(2)O_(4) powder was used to inoculate the Mg-Al melt in this study.The effects of MgAl_(2)O_(4)amount,holding time and Al content on the grain size and grain refining ratio of the inoculated Mg-Al alloys are systematically investigated.The results show that the minimum grain size of Mg-3Al alloy is achieved by adding 2wt.%MgAl_(2)O_(4)powder and this alloy exhibits higher grain refining ratio than Mg-5Al and Mg-8Al alloys.The crystallographic misfit calculation indicates the wellmatching and possible orientation relationships(ORs)betweenα-Mg and MgAl_(2)O_(4).Among these predicted ORs,[10–10]α−Mg//[110]MgAl2O4 in(0002)α−Mg//(1–13)MgAl2O4 possesses the smallest misfit,i.e.,2.34%(fr).Both results of the experiment and crystallographic calculation demonstrate that the grain refinement of Mg-Al alloys is attributed to the MgAl_(2)O_(4)particles acting as the heterogeneous nucleation substrates forα-Mg grains. | Hengbin Liao Meiyan Zhan Chengbo Li Zhiqiang Ma Jun Du | 2021 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2021,9,4: | 7 |
| 3 | Porous LaFeO3 nanofiber with oxygen vacancies as an efficient electrocatalyst for N2 conversion to NH3 under ambient conditions显示文摘Electrocatalytic N2 reduction to NH3 under ambient conditions is an eco-friendly and sustainable alternative to the traditional Haber-Bosch process. However, inhibited by the high activation barrier of N2, this process needs efficient electrocatalysts to adsorb and activate the N2, enabling the N2 reduction reaction(NRR). Herein, we report that porous LaFeO3 nanofiber with oxygen vacancies acts as an efficient NRR electrocatalyst with abundant active sites to enhance the adsorption and activation of N2. When tested in 0.1 M HCl, such electrocatalyst achieves a high Faradaic efficiency of 8.77% and a large NH3 yield rate of 18.59 μg h–1 mgcat–1.at-0.55 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode. This catalyst also shows high long-term electrochemical stability and excellent selectivity for NH3 formation. | 4 | Biosynthesis of phycocyanobilin in recombinant Escherichia coli显示文摘The recombinant expression of phycocyanobilin(PCB)was carried out in Escherichia coli,and the best fermentation conditions of recombinant E.coli biosynthesized PCB are optimized in the response surface methodology to improve PCB production.The recombinant PCB is extracted,isolated,and purified by methanol and chloroform extraction.Recombinant PCB is validated in UV-vis spectroscopy,high-pressure liquid chromatography,and mass spectrometry.In addition,the anti-oxidant activities of the recombinant PCB are determined.The best induction conditions that optimized by Design Expert 8.0 software include:lactose concentration 4 mmol/L,induction temperature 24.69℃,induction time 4.6 h,and induction duration 13.57 h,under which the PCB expression level reached approximately 13 mg PCB/L,which is more than four times of previously reported 3 mg PCB/L.The maximum absorption peak of the recombinant PCB is located at 680 nm with a high fluorescence intensity of 470 nm.The recombinant PCB has a good ability to scavenge 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH)free radicals. | MA Chengbo LI Wenjun GE Baosheng LIN Jian QIN Song | 2020 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,2: | 0 |
| 5 | Expression of Mitochondrial Transcripts in Gastric MGC803 Cell Line Subjected by Hypoxia显示文摘OBJECTIVE To determine the transcriptional expression ofmitochondrial genome (mtDNA) in MGC803 cell lines subjectedby various time-phase hypoxic dispositions, and further to discussthe influence of mtDNA transcripts on hypoxic resistance toirradiation.METHODS The MGC803 cells exposed to anoxic environmentwere divided into control group (0 h), hypoxic group (2 h, 8 h,16 h, 24 h) and irradiated group after exposing the hypoxia. RT-PCR was applied to detect the transcripts of cytochrome oxidasesubunit I (COI), NADH dehydrogenase subunit 4 (ND4), ND5,cytochrome b (cyt-b) and ATPase6 (ATP-6) in MGC803 cell lines atvarious time-phases of hypoxic, and after X-ray irradiation. Flowcytometry and colony formation assay were conducted to evaluatethe cell cycle phase and survival fraction.RESULTS COI and ND4 transcripts of MGC803 cell lineswere influenced remarkably by hypoxia. COI transcripts weredecreased remarkably with the elongation time of exposing thehypoxic, and reduced to one fourth of its original amount of pre-hypoxia 24 h after exposing the hypoxia. ND4 transcripts wereincreased initially, and elevated to two folds 8 h after exposing thehypoxia, and then reduced to one second 24 h after exposing thehypoxia. Hypoxia resulted in G_1 phase blockage, especially afterhypoxia for 16 h. The survival fraction of MGC803 cells exposingthe hypoxia in irradiated group showed that as the time ofexposing the hypoxic before irradiation is prolonged, the survivalfraction of MGC803 cells may have an elevated tendency.CONCLUSION The tumor cells with lower expression levelsof the COI and the ND4 after exposing the hypoxic have strongerresistance to the radiation, which indicates that increasing theexpression levels of the COI and the ND4 might be advantageousto enhance the sensitivity of hypoxic tumor cells to theradiotherapy. | Chengbo Han Jietao Ma Huawei Zhou | 2009 | Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology2009,6,2: | 0 |
