| 2 | Diagnosing physical conditions near the flare energy-release sites from observations of solar microwave typeⅢbursts显示文摘In the physics of solar flares, it is crucial to diagnose the physical conditions near the flare energyrelease sites. However, so far it is unclear how to diagnose these physical conditions. A solar microwave type Ⅲ burst is believed to be a sensitive signature of primary energy release and electron accelerations in solar flares. This work takes into account the effect of the magnetic field on the plasma density and develops a set of formulas which can be used to estimate the plasma density, temperature, magnetic field near the magnetic reconnection site and particle acceleration region, and the velocity and energy of electron beams.We apply these formulas to three groups of microwave type Ⅲ pairs in an X-class flare, and obtained some reasonable and interesting results. | 3 | Intestinal pseudo-obstruction caused by herpes zoster:Case report and pathophysiology显示文摘Herpes zoster(HZ) infection occurs in approximately 10% to 30% of individuals. Visceral neuropathies secondary to HZ can cause cystitis and urinary retention. But colonic pseudo-obstruction can also occur. Peripheral neuropathy may reveal segmental motor paresis of either upper or lower limbs, the abdominal muscles or the diaphragm. We report the case of a 62-year-old male patient who presented with abdominal distention and cutaneous vesicular eruption on the left side of the abdominal wall. Plain X-rays and computed tomography scan showed distended small bowel. A diagnosis of intestinal pseudo-obstruction was made secondary to segmental paresis of the small intestine and visceral neuropathy. Conservative management was successful and the patient was discharged uneventfully. | 4 | Food groups, diet quality and colorectal cancer risk in the Basque Country显示文摘BACKGROUND The results obtained to date concerning food groups,diet quality and colorectal cancer(CRC)risk vary according to criteria used and the study populations.AIM To study the relationships between food groups,diet quality and CRC risk,in an adult population of the Basque Country(North of Spain).METHODS This observational study included 308 patients diagnosed with CRC and 308 ageand sex-matched subjects as controls.During recruitment,dietary,anthropometric,lifestyle,socioeconomic,demographic and health status information was collected.Adherence to the dietary recommendations was evaluated utilizing the Healthy Eating Index for the Spanish Diet and the MedDietScore.Conditional logistic regressions were used to evaluate the associations of food group intakes,diet quality scores,categorized in tertiles,with CRC risk.RESULTS The adjusted models for potential confounding factors showed a direct association between milk and dairy products consumption,in particular high-fat cheeses[odds ratio(OR)third tertile vs first tertile=1.87,95%confidence intervals(CI):1.11-3.16],and CRC risk.While the consumption of fiber-containing foods,especially whole grains(OR third tertile vs first tertile=0.62,95%CI:0.39-0.98),and fatty fish(OR third tertile vs first tertile=0.53,95%CI:0.27-0.99)was associated with a lower risk for CRC.Moreover,higher MD adherence was associated with a reduced CRC risk in adjusted models(OR third tertile vs first tertile=0.40,95%CI:0.20-0.80).CONCLUSION Direct associations were found for high-fat cheese,whereas an inverse relation was reported for fiber-containing foods and fatty fish,as well as adherence to a Mediterranean dietary pattern. | Iker Alegria-Lertxundi Carmelo Aguirre Luis Bujanda Francisco J Fernandez Francisco Polo JoseMªOrdovas MªCarmen Etxezarraga Inaki Zabalza Mikel Larzabal Isabel Portillo Marian M de Pancorbo Koldo Garcia-Etxebarria Ana MªRocandio Marta Arroyo-Izaga | 2020 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2020，26，28： | 3 |
