1Finite element simulation and experimental test of the wear behavior for self-lubricating spherical plain bearings显示文摘In this study, based on the classical Archard adhesion wear theory, a three-dimensional finite element model was established, with the aim of simulating the failure process of self-lubricating spherical plain bearings in the swinging wear condition. The results show that the self-lubricating spherical plain bearings go through two different stages during the wear process, namely, initial wear stage and stable wear stage. Because the large contact points wear out during the initial wear stage, the maximum contact pressure decreases as the test period increases. The relatively larger wear depth region shows elliptical distribution, and the maximum distribution appears in the central contact area. The wear depth reaches 0.974 mm after swinging 25,000 times. PTFE fibers, which possess a good friction performance but poor abrasion resistance, abundantly exist on the friction surfaces of the fabric liner. Consequently, the friction torque during the initial wear stage is slightly smaller than the friction torque during the stable wear stage; however, the wear rate during the initial wear stage is high. The reliability and effectiveness of the finite element model are verified by experiment. 2ζ-Carotene Isomerase Suppresses Tillering in Rice through the Coordinated Biosynthesis of Strigolactone and Abscisic Acid显示文摘Rice tillering is an important agronomic trait affecting grain yield.Here,we identified a high-tillering mutant tillering20(t20),which could be restored to the wild type by treatment with the strigolactone(SL)analog rac-GR24.T20 encodes a chloroplast ζ-carotene isomerase(Z-ISO),which is involved in the biosynthesis of ca-rotenoids and their metabolites,SL and abscisic acid(ABA).The t20 mutant has reduced SL and ABA,raising the question of how SL and ABA biosynthesis is coordinated,and whether they have overlapping functions in tillering.We discovered that rac-GR24 stimulated T20 expression and enhanced all-trans-p-carotene biosynthesis.Importantly,rac-GR24 also stimulated expression of Oryza sativa 9-CIS-EPOXY-CAROTENOID DIOXYGENASE 1(OsNCED1)through induction of Oryza sativa HOMEOBOX12(0sHOX12),promoting ABA biosynthesis in shoot base.On the other hand,ABA treatment significantly repressed SL biosynthesis and the ABA biosynthetic mutants displayed elevated SL biosynthesis.ABA treatment reduced the number of basal tillers in both t20 and wild-type plants.Furthermore,while ABA-deficient mu-tants aba1 and aba2 had the same number of basal tillers as wild type,they had more unproductive upper tillers at maturity.This work demonstrates complex interactions in the biosynthesis of carotenoid,SLs and ABA,and reveals a role for ABA in the regulation of rice tillering.Xue Liu Qingliang Hu Jijun Yan Kai Sun Yan Liang Meiru Jia Xiangbing Meng Shuang Fang Yiqin Wang Yanhui Jing Guifu Liu Dianxing Wu Chengcai Chu Steven M.Smith Jinfang Chu Yonghong Wang Jiayang Li Bing Wang 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,12:11
3Numerical Simulations and Analyses of Temperature Control Loop Heat Pipe for Space CCD Camera显示文摘As one of the key units of space CCD camera,the temperature range and stability of CCD components affect the image's indexes.Reasonable thermal design and robust thermal control devices are needed.One kind of temperature control loop heat pipe(TCLHP) is designed,which highly meets the thermal control requirements of CCD components.In order to study the dynamic behaviors of heat and mass transfer of TCLHP,particularly in the orbital flight case,a transient numerical model is developed by using the well-established empirical correlations for flow models within three dimensional thermal modeling.The temperature control principle and details of mathematical model are presented.The model is used to study operating state,flow and heat characteristics based upon the analyses of variations of temperature,pressure and quality under different operating modes and external heat flux variations.The results indicate that TCLHP can satisfy the thermal control requirements of CCD components well,and always ensure good temperature stability and uniformity.By comparison between flight data and simulated results,it is found that the model is to be accurate to within 1℃.The model can be better used for predicting and understanding the transient performance of TCLHP.MENG Qingliang YANG Tao LI Chunlin 2016Journal of Thermal Science2016,25,5:4
4The U-box ubiquitin ligase TUD1 promotes brassinosteroid-induced GSK2 degradation in rice显示文摘Brassinosteroids(BRs)are a class of steroid hormones with great potential for use in crop improvement.De-repression is usually one of the key events in hormone signaling.However,how the stability of GSK2,the central negative regulator of BR signaling in rice(Oryza sativa),is regulated by BRs remains elusive.Here,we identify the U-box ubiquitin ligase TUD1 as a GSK2-interacting protein by yeast two-hybrid screening.We show that TUD1 is able to directly interact with GSK2 and ubiquitinate the protein.Phenotypes of the tud1 mutant are highly similar to those of plants with constitutively activated GSK2.Consistent with this finding,GSK2 protein accumulates in the tud1 mutant compared with the wild type.In addition,inhibition of BR synthesis promotes GSK2 accumulation and suppresses TUD1 stability.By contrast,BRs can induce GSK2 degradation but promote TUD1 accumulation.Furthermore,the GSK2 degradation process is largely impaired in tud1 in response to BR.In conclusion,our study demonstrates the role of TUD1 in BR-induced GSK2 degradation,thereby advancing our understanding of a critical step in the BR signaling pathway of rice.Dapu Liu Xiaoxing Zhang Qingliang Li Yunhua Xiao Guoxia Zhang Wenchao Yin Mei Niu Wenjing Meng Nana Dong Jihong Liu Yanzhao Yang Qi Xie Chengcai Chu Hongning Tong 2023Plant Communications2023,4,2:2
5Low phosphorus promotes NSP1–NSP2 heterodimerization to enhance strigolactone biosynthesis and regulate shoot and root architecture in rice显示文摘Phosphorus is an essential macronutrient for plant development and metabolism,and plants have evolved ingenious mechanisms to overcome phosphate(Pi)starvation.However,the molecular mechanisms underlying the regulation of shoot and root architecture by low phosphorus conditions and the coordinated utilization of Pi and nitrogen remain largely unclear.Here,we show that Nodulation Signaling Pathway 1(NSP1)and NSP2 regulate rice tiller number by promoting the biosynthesis of strigolactones(SLs),a class of phytohormones with fundamental effects on plant architecture and environmental responses.We found that NSP1 and NSP2 are induced by Oryza sativa PHOSPHATE STARVATION RESPONSE2(OsPHR2)in response to low-Pi stress and form a complex to directly bind the promoters of SL biosynthesis genes,thus markedly increasing SL biosynthesis in rice.Interestingly,the NSP1/2–SL signaling module represses the expression of CROWN ROOTLESS 1(CRL1),a newly identified early SL-responsive gene in roots,to restrain lateral root density under Pi deficiency.We also demonstrated that GR24^(4DO) treatment under normal conditions inhibits the expression of OsNRTs and OsAMTs to suppress nitrogen absorption but enhances the expression of OsPTs to promote Pi absorption,thus facilitating the balance between nitrogen and phosphorus uptake in rice.Importantly,we found that NSP1p:NSP1 and NSP2p:NSP2 transgenic plants show improved agronomic traits and grain yield under low-and medium-phosphorus conditions.Taken together,these results revealed a novel regulatory mechanism of SL biosynthesis and signaling in response to Pi starvation,providing genetic resources for improving plant architecture and nutrient-use efficiency in low-Pi environments.Kun Yuan Hao Zhang Chaoji Yu Nan Luo Jijun Yan Shuang Zheng Qingliang Hu Dahan Zhang Liquan Kou Xiangbing Meng Yanhui Jing Mingjiang Chen Xinwei Ban Zongyun Yan Zefu Lu Jian Wu Yu Zhao Yan Liang Yonghong Wang Guosheng Xiong Jinfang Chu Ertao Wang Jiayang Li Bing Wang 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,11:2

7Decentralized Distributed Deep Learning with Low-Bandwidth Consumption for Smart Constellations显示文摘For the space-based remote sensing system,onboard intelligent processing based on deep learning has become an inevitable trend.To adapt to the dynamic changes of the observation scenes,there is an urgent need to perform distributed deep learning onboard to fully utilize the plentiful real-time sensing data of multiple satellites from a smart constellation.However,the network bandwidth of the smart constellation is very limited.Therefore,it is of great significance to carry out distributed training research in a low-bandwidth environment.This paper proposes a Randomized Decentralized Parallel Stochastic Gradient Descent(RD-PSGD)method for distributed training in a low-bandwidth network.To reduce the communication cost,each node in RD-PSGD just randomly transfers part of the information of the local intelligent model to its neighborhood.We further speed up the algorithm by optimizing the programming of random index generation and parameter extraction.For the first time,we theoretically analyze the convergence property of the proposed RD-PSGD and validate the advantage of this method by simulation experiments on various distributed training tasks for image classification on different benchmark datasets and deep learning network architectures.The results show that RD-PSGD can effectively save the time and bandwidth cost of distributed training and reduce the complexity of parameter selection compared with the TopK-based method.The method proposed in this paper provides a new perspective for the study of onboard intelligent processing,especially for online learning on a smart satellite constellation.Qingliang Meng Meiyu Huang Yao Xu Naijin Liu Xueshuang Xiang 2021Space(Science & Technology)2021,,1:1

10Multi-Classification of Polyps in Colonoscopy Images Based on an Improved Deep Convolutional Neural Network显示文摘Achieving accurate classification of colorectal polyps during colonoscopy can avoid unnecessary endoscopic biopsy or resection.This study aimed to develop a deep learning model that can automatically classify colorectal polyps histologically on white-light and narrow-band imaging(NBI)colonoscopy images based on World Health Organization(WHO)and Workgroup serrAted polypS and Polyposis(WASP)classification criteria for colorectal polyps.White-light and NBI colonoscopy images of colorectal polyps exhibiting pathological results were firstly collected and classified into four categories:conventional adenoma,hyperplastic polyp,sessile serrated adenoma/polyp(SSAP)and normal,among which conventional adenoma could be further divided into three sub-categories of tubular adenoma,villous adenoma and villioustublar adenoma,subsequently the images were re-classified into six categories.In this paper,we proposed a novel convolutional neural network termed Polyp-DedNet for the four-and six-category classification tasks of colorectal polyps.Based on the existing classification network ResNet50,Polyp-DedNet adopted dilated convolution to retain more high-dimensional spatial information and an Efficient Channel Attention(ECA)module to improve the classification performance further.To eliminate gridding artifacts caused by dilated convolutions,traditional convolutional layers were used instead of the max pooling layer,and two convolutional layers with progressively decreasing dilation were added at the end of the network.Due to the inevitable imbalance of medical image data,a regularization method DropBlock and a Class-Balanced(CB)Loss were performed to prevent network overfitting.Furthermore,the 5-fold cross-validation was adopted to estimate the performance of Polyp-DedNet for the multi-classification task of colorectal polyps.Mean accuracies of the proposed Polyp-DedNet for the four-and six-category classifications of colorectal polyps were 89.91%±0.92%and 85.13%±1.10%,respectively.The metrics of precision,recall and F1-score were also improved by 1%∼2%compared to the baseline ResNet50.The proposed Polyp-DedNet presented state-of-the-art performance for colorectal polyp classifying on white-light and NBI colonoscopy images,highlighting its considerable potential as an AI-assistant system for accurate colorectal polyp diagnosis in colonoscopy.Shuang Liu Xiao Liu Shilong Chang Yufeng Sun Kaiyuan Li Ya Hou Shiwei Wang Jie Meng Qingliang Zhao Sibei Wu Kun Yang Linyan Xue 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,6:0
11Experimental study on dynamic behavior of mechanically pumped two-phase loop with a novel accumulator in simulated space environment显示文摘Mechanically pumped two-phase loop(MPTL)which is a prominent two-phase heat transfer technology presents a promising prospect in thermal control for space payload.However,transient behavior of MPTL caused by phase-change and heat sources load-on/off in simulated space environment is rarely reported.In the present study,one MPTL setup was designed and constructed,and experimentally studied.Particularly,a novel two-phase thermally-controlled accumulator integrated with passive cooling measure and three capillary structures was designed as the temperature-control device.Dynamic behavior of the start-up,temperature control,and temperature adjustment were monitored;meanwhile,thermodynamic behavior within the proposed accumulator,the operating behavior as well as the heat and mass transfer behavior between the main loop and the accumulator were revealed.The results show that the fluid management function of the capillary structures for the novel accumulator is verified.The working point of the MPTL system can be adjusted by changing the temperature control point of the accumulator and it is little influenced by external heat flux and heat sources on/off.Pressure-drop oscillations which are manifested as fluctuations of temperature and pressure can be observed after phase changing due to the compressible volume within the accumulator and the negative-slope portion of the internal pressure.Qingliang MENG Tao ZHANG Feng YU Yu ZHAO Zhenming ZHAO Zhenhua ZHOU 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,12:0
