Examples are proposed for illustrating the methods. | Xiaodan Zhang, Lequan Min (Applied Science School, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing 100083, China) | 2000 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2000,14,3: | 9 |
Secure communication by generalized chaotic synchronization显示文摘Chaotic communication is a rather new and active field of research. Although it is expected to have promising advantages, some investigators provide evidences that chaotic communication is not safety. This letter provides a new chaotic secure communi-cation scheme based on a generalized synchronization theory of coupled system. The secret message hidden in the chaotic sourcesignal generated via the scheme is very difficult to be unmasked by so-called nonlinear dynamic forecasting technique. One examplefor Internet communications was presented to illustrate the security of our scheme. | Lequan Min, Xianhua Zhang, and Miao YangApplied Science School, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing 100083, China | 2003 | Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2003,10,2: | 5

Novel Hash Function Based on Coupled Chaotic Map Lattices显示文摘Hash function has been widely used in cryptographic field. This paper proposes a Hash function based on complexly Coupled chaotic map latices(CCML).It is equipped with new features of parallel and flexible processing. Parallelism indicates that the algorithm can reach high level of efficiency and speed. Flexibility means the length of Hash function and message block processed each time can be easily changed to adapt to practical demand. Experimental results show that the Hash function is one-way, with high plaintext sensitivity, as well as its strong capability for confusion and diffusion, and collision resistance. In comparison with MD5 and another Hash function based on chaos, the proposed Hash function shows good performance. | ZHEN Ping ZHAO Geng MIN Lequan LI Xiaodong | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Electronics2014,23,4: | 2

Analytical criteria for local activity of CNN with five state variables and application to Hyper-chaos synchronization Chua's circuit显示文摘The analytic criteria for the local activity theory in one-port cellular neural network (CNN) with five local state variables are presented. The application to a Hyper-chaos synchronization Chua's circuit (HCSCC) CNN with 1125 variables is studied. The bifurcation diagrams of the HCSCC CNN show that they are slightly different from the smoothed CNN with one or two ports and four state variables calculated earlier. The evolution of the patterns of the state variables of the HCSCC CNN is stimulated. Oscillatory patterns, chaotic patterns, convergent or divergent patterns may emerge if the selected cell parameters are located in the locally active domains but nearby or in the edge of chaos domain. | Lequan Min and Xisong DongApplied Science School, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing 100083, China | 2002 | Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2002,9,4: | 1
Automatic Liver Segmentation Scheme for MRI Images Based on Cellular Neural Networks显示文摘Currently, the processing speed of existing automatic liver segmentation for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) images is relatively slow.An automatic liver segmentation scheme for MRI images based on Cellular Neural Networks (CNN) is presented in this paper. It ensures the validity of this scheme and at the same time completes the image segmentation faster to accurately calculate the liver volume by using parallel computing in real time.In order to facilitate the CNN image processing,firstly,three-dimensional liver MRI images should be transformed into binary images;secondly,an appropriate template parameter of the Global Connectivity Detection CNN (GCD CNN) shall be selected to probe the connectivity of the liver to extract the entire liver;and then the Hole-Filler CNN (HF CNN) are used to repair the entire extracting liver and improve the accuracy of liver segmentation;finally, the liver volume is obtained. Results show that the scheme can ensure the accuracy of the automatic segmentation of the liver, and it can also improve the processing speed at the same time. The liver volume calculated is in line with the clinical diagnosis. | Zhang Qun Min Lequan Zhang Jie Zhang Min | 2012 | China Communications2012,9,9: | 1

Analytical Criteria for Local Activity of CNN with Two-port and Application to Biochemical Model显示文摘The analytic criteria are presented for the local activity theory in two-port Cellular Neural Network (CNN) cells with three local state variables, and the application to a Biochemical Model CNN (BMCNN) is given for coupling in series of two enzymes whose prototype was studied by Decroly and Goldbeter. The bifurcation diagrams of the BMCNN’s show that there does not exist a locally passive domain, and the computer simulation exhibited that convergent patterns, oscillatory patterns or chaotic patterns may emerge if the selected cell parameters are located in locally active unstable domains but nearby the edge of chaos domain. In particular, the coexistence of multiple oscillations was observed in the corresponding triple cell couples of the BMCNN’s with the same initial conditions. | Lequan Min Na Yu | 2000 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2000,14,4: | 1
Analytical Criteria for Local Activity of CNN with Two Ports and Application to Smoothed Chua's Circuit显示文摘Presents analytic criteria for the local activity theory in two-port cellular neural network (CNN) cells with four local state vari- ables, and gives the application to a smoothed Chua’s circuit (SCC) CNN with two-port and 15 xl 5 arrays. The bifurcation diagrams of the SCC CNN show that they are completely the same as those of an 5CC CNN with one-port calculated earlier, which do not exist locally passive domain. The evolution of the patterns of the state variables of the 5CC CNN is stimulated. Oscillatory patterns, chaotic patterns, or divergent patterns may emerge if the selected cell parameters are located in the locally active unstable domains but nearby the edge of chaos domain. | Na Yu, Lequan Min Applied Science School, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing 100083, China E-mail: lqmin@sohu.com | 2002 | Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2002,9,1: | 1

Theorems for Testing Local Activity of CNN and Application to Cardiac Purkinje Equations显示文摘The theorems for testing the local in one-port cellular neural/inear network (CNN) cells with four local state variables are presented. Using the theorems computes the bifurcation diagrams of the cardiac Purkinje fiber (CPE) equations Which describethe long-lasting action and pace-maker potentials of the Purkinje fiber of the heart. The computer simulation shows that periodic trajectories or convergent trajectories of the CPF Equations can be foun if the cormsponing cell Parameters are located in a positive domainbut nearby edge of chaos. In particular a heart with approximate normal frequency of heartbeat but non-normal electrocardiogram maysuddenly stop by slightly perturbing the parameters of the corresponding CPF Equations when the Paramders are located nearby the edge of chaos in the bifurcation diagrams. This research seems to interpret reasonbly the phenomena that patients with cardiac diseases might suddenly die without warning. | Lequan Min(Applied Science School, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing 100083, China) | 2000 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2000,14,2: | 1
