| 1 | Current concepts in the immunohistochemical evaluation of liver tumors显示文摘Immunohistochemistry often plays an important role in the evaluation of liver tumors. Recent advances have established a classification system for hepatocellular adenomas(HCAs) based on morphology,molecular alterations,and immunohistochemistry. Specifically,loss of liver fatty acid binding protein is seen in HNF1α-inactivated HCA,staining with serum amyloid A isseen in inflammatory HCA,and diffuse staining with glutamine synthetase(GS) is seen in β-catenin activated HCA. A panel of immunohistochemical stains including glypican-3(GPC-3),heat shock protein 70,and GS are useful in distinguishing HCC from non-malignant dysplastic nodules. Immunohistochemistry is also useful to determine whether a liver tumor is of primary hepatocellular or metastatic origin. Recently described markers useful for this purpose include arginase-1,GPC-3,and bile salt export pump. These newer markers may offer superior utility when compared to traditional markers of hepatocellular differentiation such as alpha-fetoprotein,hepatocyte paraffin-1,polyclonal carcinoembryonic antigen,and CD10. | 2 | Primary prevention of colorectal cancer:Myth or reality?显示文摘Colorectal cancer incidence has been rising strongly in parallel with economic development.In the past few decades,much has been learned about the lifestyle,dietary and medication risk factors for this malignancy.With respect to lifestyle,compelling evidence indicates that prevention of weight gain and maintenance of a reasonable level of physical activity can positively influence in lowering the risk.Although there is controversy about the role of specific nutritional factors,consideration of dietary pattern as a whole appears useful for formulating recommendations.Though quite often recommended,the role for many supplements,including omega-3,vitamin D,folate,and vitamin B6,remains unsettled.Only calcium and vitamin D supplementation appear to add a modest benefit,particularly in those with a low daily intake.With regard to chemoprevention,medications such as aspirin and nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs,and postmenopausal hormonal replacement for women might be associated with substantial reductions in colorectal cancer risk,though their utility is affected by their side effect profile.However,the role of agents such as statins,bisphosphonates and antioxidants have yet to be determined.Ultimately,primary prevention strategies focusing on modifying environmental,lifestyle risk factors,and chemopreventive drugs are options that have already been tested,and may impact on colon cancer incidence. | Marcela Crosara Teixeira Maria Ignez Braghiroli Jorge Sabbaga Paulo M Hoff | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014，20，41： | 5 |
| 3 | Rice Drying,Storage and Processing:Effects of Post-Harvest Operations on Grain Quality显示文摘Various post-harvest processes of rice are commonly employed,especially during the off-season,to ensure its consumption feasibility,which often affect the grain quality.Different forms of drying,storage and processing of rice are evaluated to identify their effects on grain quality.Microwave drying has emerged as an alternative to the widely-used intermittent-drying and fixed-bed-dryer methods of drying paddy rice.Control of drying-air temperatures(between 40℃ and 60℃)according to the rice variety can improve quality,especially for exotic varieties.Keeping stored grain in hygroscopic balance,with water content between 11%to 15%,at temperatures between 16℃ and 20℃ and with intergranular relative humidity near 60%,allows 12 months of storage in a controlled environment without significant deterioration.Other innovations,notably the application of artificial refrigeration to grain stored in bulk in vertical cylindrical silos and the use of impermeable packaging for storage,ensure the conservation of grain mass.The different stages and equipments used to obtain polished,brown and parboiled rice result in significant changes in the nutritional value of rice because of the removal of the outermost layers of the grains.Polishing reduces the nutritional value and physical homogeneity of rice.Brown rice retains more bioactive compounds and nutrients because it does not lose the outer layer of the grains in the polishing processes.Parboiled rice,although less nutritious than brown rice,has better grain integrity and milling yield and less loss of nutrients than white rice. | Amanda MÜLLER Marcela Trojahn NUNES Vanessa MALDANER Paulo Carteri CORADI Rosana Santos de MORAES Samuel MARTENS Andressa Fernandes LEAL Vladison Fogliato PEREIRA Cristielle König MARIN | 2022 | Rice science2022，29，1： | 3 |
