| 2 | Salvia miltiorrhiza-asarum ointment combined with Chinese medical massage alleviates symptoms of osteoarthritis in a rat model through the Notch1/matrix metalloproteinase-13 signaling pathway显示文摘OBJECTIVE:This study investigated the effect of salvia miltiorrhiza-asarum ointment(SMAO)plus Chinese medical massage on knee osteoarthritis in a rat model.METHODS:Hulth's method was used to establish a Sprague-Dawley rat model of knee osteoarthritis(OA).The levels of matrix metalloproteinase-13(MMP-13),collagen-Ⅱ,aggrecan,interleukin(IL)-1β,tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),and IL-6 were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays.The joint space was assessed by a Perlove X-ray system.Histopathology was examined by hematoxylin-eosin and Safranin O staining.The mRNA and protein expression levels of Notch1,MMP-13,collagen-Ⅱ,and aggrecan were measured by quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting,respectively.RESULTS:SMAO plus Chinese medical massage significantly decreased the levels of MMP-13,IL-1β,TNF-α,and IL-6,and increased serum collagen-Ⅱ and aggrecan levels.Pathological injury of the knee joint was improved by SMAO treatment.mRNA and protein expression of Notch1 and MMP-13 was remarkably downregulated,but collagen-Ⅱ and aggrecan levels were significantly upregulated in cartilage tissues.CONCLUSION:SMAO combined with Chinese medical massage effectively relieves OA symptoms,which may involve inhibiting inflammation through the Notch1/MMP-13 signaling pathway. | LAI Qingzhong ZHANG Xianjie CHEN Meilan HAN Zhicun | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,4: | 3 |

| 10 | The organization and function of the Golgi apparatus in dendrite development and neurological disorders显示文摘Dendrites are specialized neuronal compartments that sense, integrate and transfer information in the neural network. Their development is tightly controlled and abnormal dendrite morphogenesis is strongly linked to neurological disorders. While dendritic morphology ranges from relatively simple to extremely complex for a specified neuron, either requires a functional secretory pathway to continually replenish proteins and lipids to meet dendritic growth demands. The Golgi apparatus occupies the center of the secretory pathway and is regulating posttranslational modifications, sorting, transport, and signal transduction, as well as acting as a non-centrosomal microtubule organization center. The neuronal Golgi apparatus shares common features with Golgi in other eukaryotic cell types but also forms distinct structures known as Golgi outposts that specifically localize in dendrites. However, the organization and function of Golgi in dendrite development and its impact on neurological disorders is just emerging and so far lacks a systematic summary. | 11 | Flower development and sexual dimorphism in Vernicia montana显示文摘The mu oil tree(Vernicia montana Lour.) is a dioecious species, but the genetic mechanisms underlying its phenotypic sexual dimorphism are unclear. In this study, we determined two pivotal phases of sex differentiation of mu oil tree via morphological and histological analyses of unisexual flowers:(Ⅰ) differentiation of male or female primordia to produce staminate flowers(SFs) or transient hermaphrodite flowers(HFs),and(Ⅱ) complete abortion of stamens in transient HFs to generate pistillate flowers(PFs). A total of 1621 sex-biased genes were identified by comparative transcriptome analysis which exhibited elevated rates of protein evolution than unbiased genes. The female-biased genes were enriched in the production of defense compounds while male-biased genes were focused on the production of viable pollens. Transcriptomebased analysis revealed that the differentially expressed genes(DEGs) between PFs and SFs in phase Ⅰ involved in abscisic acid(ABA), auxin(AUX), cytokinin(CK), ethylene(ET), and gibberellin(GA) biosynthesis and signaling showed higher expression levels in males than in females in general, whereas the DEGs involved in jasmonic acid(JA) and salicylic acid(SA) pathways displayed opposite expression patterns. Moreover,differentially expressed endogenous ABA, AUX, GAs, JA, and SA exhibited consistent biased expression patterns with the DEGs by UPLC-MSbased analysis. Exogenous application of an anti-ethylene plant growth regulator could promote the development of stamens in PFs and generated HFs. Comparative transcriptomic and hormonal analyses of PFs and SFs in phase Ⅱ indicated an increase in ET concentration when abortion of stamens in PFs occurred. | 12 | Decoration of carbon encapsulated nitrogen-rich MoxN with few-layered MoSe2 nanosheets for high-performance sodium-ion storage显示文摘Transition metal nitrides have become the focus of research in sodium ion batteries(SIBs)due to their unique metal properties and high theoretical capacity.However,the low actual capacity is still the main bottleneck for their application.Herein,using Mo-aniline frameworks as precursors,the carbon encapsulated nitrogen-rich Mo_(x)N is decorated by few-layered MoSe_(2) nanosheets(MoSe_(2)@Mo_(x)N/C-I)after the facile calcinating,selenizing,and nitriding.The carbon encapsulation can effectively strengthen the structural stability of Mo_(x)N.The nitrogen-rich Mo_(x)N and decoration of few-layered MoSe_(2) can create rich heterointerfaces and extra active sites for rapid sodium-ion storage,thus promoting reaction kinetics and improving actual capacity.The MoSe_(2)@Mo_(x)N/C-I as an anode achieves a large reversible capacity of 522.8 mAh g^(-1)at 0.1 A g^(-1),and 254.3 mAh g^(-1)capacity is obtained after 6000 cycles at 5.0 A g^(-1),showing signally improved sodium-ion storage properties.The storage mechanisms and kinetic behaviors are described systematically via the advanced testing techniques and density functional theory(DFT)calculations.It is found that the nitrogen-rich Mo_(x)N as the substrate is the basis of long cycling stability,and the few-layered MoSe_(2) are the key to improving actual capacity.This work indicates that the decoration of few-layered selenides has a broad application prospect in high-performance metal-ion batteries. | Tao Lu Baoquan Liu Fanyan Zeng Guo Cheng Shile Chu Meilan Xie Zhi Chen Zhaohui Hou | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,11: | 0 |
| 13 | Study on Frost Prevention and Drought Resistance Effect of Potato under Different Planting Methods显示文摘According to different planting test data,meteorological data,field planting survey and expert interview data in recent years,frost prevention and drought resistance effect of potato under different planting methods were studied using agro-meteorological disaster risk index analysis method. The results showed that the risk index of potato with the full-film planting was small due to good thermal insulation and soil moisture conservation performance. The risk index of potato with half-film planting( flat mulching,ridging planting and furrow planting) was moderate,while that of ridge tillage without mulching,double rows,full of stars and flat planting was large,and their frost prevention and drought resistance effect were poor.
