Owing to their unique and tunable structural, physical, and chemical properties, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have exhibited great potentials in water treatment. This review makes an attempt to provide an overview of potential solutions to various environmental challenges by using CNTs as adsorbents, catalysts or catalyst support, membranes, and electrodes. | 4 | The key environmental factors driving the succession of phytoplankton functional groups in Hongfeng Reservoir, southwest China显示文摘Reservoirs are an important water source in many densely populated areas in southwest China.Phytoplankton play an essential role in maintaining the structure and function of reservoir ecosystems.Understanding the succession in phytoplankton communities and the factors driving it are essential for eff ective water quality management in drinking water reservoirs.In this study,water samples were collected monthly at the surface layers from March 2016 to December 2019 in Hongfeng Reservoir,southwest China.The relationship between functional group succession was analyzed based on nonmetric multidimensional scaling analysis(NMDS),redundancy analysis(RDA),succession rate,and other analysis methods.The results showed distinct shifts in the community structure of phytoplankton functional groups within study period.The Cyclotella sp.was dominant in 2016 and 2017,and Pseudanabaena limnetica was the dominant group in 2018 and 2019.It appears that the phytoplankton composition and biomass are closely related to the water temperature and nutrient status in this reservoir.The results clearly showed that the permanganate index(COD_(Mn))was the key factor of dramatic phytoplankton functional group succession,and the change in succession rates was closely caused by total nitrogen concentration(TN).Therefore,the succession pattern and key factors of Hongfeng Reservoir revealed in this study were important guidance for the management of drinking water reservoirs in southwest China.A reasonable limit on exogenous nutrient input should be a priority,especially in high water temperature period. | Libin HAN Qiuhua LI Wensheng CHEN Xing WANG Shihui ZHOU Mengshu HAN Anton BRANCELJ | 2022 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2022,40,4: | 2 |

| 11 | Novel algorithm for distributed replicas management based on dynamic programming显示文摘Replicas can improve the data reliability in distributed system. However, the traditional algorithms for replica management are based on the assumption that all replicas have the uniform reliability, which is inaccurate in some actual systems. To address such problem, a novel algorithm is proposed based on dynamic programming to manage the number and distribution of replicas in different nodes. By using Markov model, replicas management is organized as a multi-phase process, and the recursion equations are provided. In this algorithm, the heterogeneity of nodes, the expense for maintaining replicas and the engaged space have been considered. Under these restricted conditions, this algorithm realizes high data reliability in a distributed system. | 12 | Blasting Technology Research in Construction of Fenghuoshan Tunnel in Permafrost显示文摘The Fenghuoshan Tunnel is an important project in Qinghai-Tibet Railway. How to protect permafrost during tunnelling is one of key technology. There are two kinds of influences on permafrost because of the blasting construction, firstly, blasting results in the damage of the surrounding rock, producing cranny in surrounding rock or making existing cranny spreading even connecting, secondly, the explosion produces gas with high temperature and high pressure, tremendous heat energy influences the heat balance of permafrost. To minimize the effect on permafrost during explosion construction, this paper has done research for relevant explosion scheme based on the theoretic analysis and spot tests. Pre-crack explosion is adopted on the hollow segment, and smooth explosion is adopted on the tunnel body segment, whole section excavation is adopted on the tunnel body segment with grade Ⅳ surrounding rock, and the face steps excavation is adopted on the tunnel body segment with grade Ⅴ surrounding rock. Explosion parameters were optimised finally. The maximal explosion vibration velocity in the surrounding rock is controlled in 5~10 cm/s. To solve the heat disturbance problem, brine mud is adopted to block up explosion holes in order to coll and dustproof. | 13 | Ralstonia solanacearum type Ⅲ effector RipAS associates with potato type one protein phosphatase StTOPP6 to promote bacterial wilt显示文摘The bacterial pathogen Ralstonia solanacearum(R.solanacearum)delivered type III secretion effectors to inhibit the immune system and cause bacterial wilt on potato.Protein phosphatases are key regulators in plant immunity,which pathogens can manipulate to alter host processes.Here,we show that a type III effector RipAS can reduce the nucleolar accumulation of a type one protein phosphatase(PP1)StTOPP6 to promote bacterial wilt.StTOPP6 was used as bait in the Yeast two-Hybrid(Y2H)assay and acquired an effector RipAS that interacts with it.RipAS was characterized as a virulence effector to contribute to R.solanacearum infection,and stable expression of RipAS in potato impaired plant resistance against R.solanacearum.Overexpression of StTOPP6 showed enhanced disease symptoms when inoculated with wild strain UW551 but not the ripAS deletion mutant,indicating that the expression of StTOPP6 facilitates the virulence of RipAS.RipAS reduced the nucleolar accumulation of StTOPP6,which occurred during R.solanacearum infection.Moreover,the association also widely existed between other PP1s and RipAS.We argue that RipAS is a virulence effector associated with PP1s to promote bacterial wilt. | Bingsen Wang Wenfeng He Mengshu Huang Jiachen Feng Yanping Li Liu Yu Yuqi Wang Dan Zhou Chengzhen Meng Dong Cheng Ning Tang Botao Song Huilan Chen | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,6: | 0 |
| 14 | Piceatannol attenuates streptozotocin-induced type 1 diabetes inmice显示文摘As a natural analog of resveratrol,piceatannol(Pic)exhibits good antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities in different disease models.However,the role of Pic in type 1 diabetes mousemodel has not been reported yet.In this study,we investigated the in vivo effect of Pic in streptozotocin(STZ)-induced type 1 diabetic mice.Mice were injected with STZ to establish the type 1 diabetesmellitus(T1DM)model.After stable hyperglycemia was achieved,mice were then orally treated with Pic(40 mg/kg b.w.,i.g.)for 30 days.The results indicated that Pic supplementation efficiently alleviated the typical symptoms associated with T1DM,including body weight loss,polydipsia,hyperglycemia,and hypoinsulinemia.Pic treatment also improved the glucose tolerance of STZ-induced diabetic mice.In addition,Pic supplementation markedly decreased the expression of pro-inflammatory molecules TNF-αand IL-6,the expression of endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress markers GRP78 and CHOP,and the level of oxidative stress in T1DM mice.Moreover,Pic administration also partly reversed the metabolic profiles of STZ-treated mice as detected by 1H Nuclear Magnetic Resonance(NMR)-based metabolomics.Our study suggested that the therapeutic potential of Pic in type 1 diabetes and the anti-diabetic effects of Pic may be associated with its activities to suppress oxidative stress,inflammation,and ER stress. | MENGSHU ZHAO PINGSHI GAO LIANG TAO JINGJING WEN LEI WANG YUGUO YI YUXIN CHEN JUNSONG WANG XI XU JIANFA ZHANG DAN WENG | 2020 | BIOCELL2020,44,3: | 0 |
