| 2 | Establishment Method of a Mixture Model and Its Practical Application for Transmission Gears in an Engineering Vehicle显示文摘Highly versatile machines, such as wheel loaders, forklifts, and mining haulers, are subject to many kinds of working conditions, as well as indefinite factors that lead to the complexity of the load. The load probability distribution function (PDF) of transmission gears has many distributions centers; thus, its PDF cannot be well represented by just a single-peak function. For the purpose of representing the distribution characteristics of the complicated phenomenon accurately, this paper proposes a novel method to establish a mixture model. Based on linear regression models and correlation coefficients, the proposed method can be used to automatically select the best-fitting function in the mixture model. Coefficient of determination, the mean square error, and the maximum deviation are chosen and then used as judging criteria to describe the fitting precision between the theoretical distribution and the corresponding histogram of the available load data. The applicability of this modeling method is illustrated by the field testing data of a wheel loader. Meanwhile, the load spectra based on the mixture model are compiled. The comparison results show that the mixture model is more suitable for the description of the load-distribution characteristics. | 4 | The role of CYP1A1/2 in cholesterol ester accumulation provides a new perspective for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia显示文摘Cholesterol is an important precursor of many endogenous molecules.Disruption of cholesterol homeostasis can cause many pathological changes,leading to liver and cardiovascular diseases.CYP1A is widely involved in cholesterol metabolic network,but its exact function has not been fully elucidated.Here,we aim to explore how CYP1A regulates cholesterol homeostasis.Our data showed that CYP1A1/2 knockout(KO)rats presented cholesterol deposition in blood and liver.The serum levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol,high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and total cholesterol were significantly increased in KO rats.Further studies found that the lipogenesis pathway(LXRa-SREBP1-SCD1)of KO rats was activated,and the key protein of cholesterol ester hydrolysis(CES1)was inhibited.Importantly,lansoprazole can significantly alleviate rat hepatic lipid deposition in hypercholesterolemia models by inducing CYP1A.Our findings reveal the role of CYP1A as a potential regulator of cholesterol homeostasis and provide a new perspective for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia. | Jian Lu Xuyang Shang Bingyi Yao Dongyi Sun Jie Liu Yuanjin Zhang He Wang Jingru Shi Huaqing Chen Tieliu Shi Mingyao Liu Xin Wang | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,2: | 0 |
| 5 | Applications and safety of gold nanoparticles as therapeutic devices in clinical trials显示文摘Use of gold nanoparticles(GNPs)in medicine is an emerging field of translational research with vast clinical implications and exciting therapeutic potential.However,the safety of using GNPs in human subjects is an important question that remains unanswered.This study reviews over 20 clinical trials focused on GNP safety and aims to summarize all the clinical studies,completed and ongoing,to identify whether GNPs are safe to use in humans as a therapeutic platform.In these studies,GNPs were implemented as drug delivery devices,for photothermal therapy,and utilized for their intrinsic therapeutic effects by various routes of delivery.These studies revealed no major safety concerns with the use of GNPs;however,the number of trials and total patient number remains limited.Multi-dose,multicenter blinded trials are required to deepen our understanding of the use of GNPs in clinical settings to facilitate translation of this novel,multifaceted therapeutic device.Expanding clinical trials will require collaboration between clinicians,scientists,and biotechnology companies. | Leeann Yao Dejan Bojic Mingyao Liu | 2023 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2023,13,9: | 0 |
| 6 | COPD deaths attributable to ozone in 2019 and future projections using the WHO AQG 2021 in urban China显示文摘Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)is an epidemic in China.Ozone is a possible risk factor of COPD,with ozone concentrations increasing in China,despite air pollution mitigation measures that reduced particulate matter.The WHO Air Quality Guidelines(AQG)recommendations in 2021 are a turning point that formally recognizes the crucial role of indoor air pollution.We aimed to investigate the premature COPD deaths attributable to ozone in 2019,taking the WHO AQG 2021 level into account to determine the gap to bridge ozone control in China.First,we assessed ozone exposures initiated from indoor and outdoor sources by gender and age groups in 344 cities under four scenarios:2019 as a baseline,and outdoor ozone at WHO AQG 2021 level in 2019,2030,and 2050,respectively.Subsequently,we estimated COPD deaths attributable to ozone.The results show that the COPD deaths attributable to ozone are 77,737 in 2019,and 527,872,1355 if the outdoor ozone concentration is reduced to the WHO AQG 2021 level in 2019(counterfactual scenario),2030,and 2050,respectively in urban China.The indoor ozone sources only contribute to less than 5%of COPD deaths.A gap of 68.5μg/m3 for the highest seasonal ozone concentration should be bridged to meet the WHO AQG 2021 and avoid over 76 thousand(98%)COPD deaths in 2019 in urban China. | Mingyao Yao Ying Hu Ao Zhang John SJi Bin Zhao | 2022 | Eco-Environment & Health2022,1,4: | 0 |
