| 1 | Impacts of cadmium addition on the alteration of microbial community and transport of antibiotic resistance genes in oxytetracycline contaminated soil显示文摘The large-scale development in livestock feed industry has increased the chances of antibiotics and heavy metals contamination in the soil.The fate of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs)and microbial community in heavy metals and antibiotic contaminated soil is still unclear.In this study,we investigated the effect of cadmium(Cd)addition on the transport of ARGs,microbial community and human pathogenic bacteria in oxytetracycline(OTC)contaminated soil.Results showed that the addition of OTC significantly increased the abundance of ARGs and intI1 in the soil and lettuce tissues.The addition of Cd to OTC treated soil further increased the abundance and translocation of ARGs and intI1.Moreover,Cd promoted the transfer of potential human pathogenic bacteria(HPB)into lettuce tissues.Compared with O10 treatment,the addition of Cd decreased the concentration of OTC in soil and lettuce tissue,but slightly increased the fresh weight of lettuce tissues.Redundancy analysis indicated that bacterial community succession is a major factor in ARGs variation.Network analysis indicated that the main host bacteria of ARGs were mainly derived from Proteobacteria.Correlation analysis showed that intI1 was significantly correlated with tetG,tetC,sul1,sul2,erm X,and ermQ.Meanwhile,potential HPB(Clostridium,and Burkholderia)was significantly correlated with intI1 and eight ARGs(tetG,tetC,tetW,tetX,sul1,sul2,ermX,and ermQ.).The findings of this study suggest that the addition of heavy metals to agricultural fields must be considered in order to reduce the transfer of ARGs in the soil and crops. | Honghong Guo Shuhong Xue Mubasher Nasir Jie Gu Jialong Lv | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021，33，1： | 3 |
| 2 | Do medical students studying in the United Kingdom have an adequate factual knowledge of basic life support?显示文摘BACKGROUND: Healthcare professionals have a duty to maintain basic life support(BLS) skills. This study aims to evaluate medical students' factual knowledge of BLS and the training they receive.METHODS: A cross-sectional, closed-response questionnaire was distributed to the fi rst-and fourth-year students studying at institutions in the United Kingdom. The paper questionnaire sought to quantify respondent's previous BLS training, factual knowledge of the BLS algorithm using five multiple choice questions(MCQs), and valuate their desire for further BLS training. Students received 1 point for each correctly identifi ed answer to the 5 MCQ's.RESULTS: A total of 3,732 complete responses were received from 21 medical schools. Eighty percent(n=2,999) of students completed a BLS course as part of their undergraduate medical studies. There was a signifi cant difference(P<0.001) in the percentage of the fourth-year students selecting the correct answer in all the MCQ's compared to the fi rst-year students except in identifyingthe correct depth of compressions required during CPR(P=0.095). Overall 10.3%(95% CI 9.9% to 10.7%) of respondents correctly identified the answer to 5 MCQ's on BLS: 9% of the first-year students(n=194) and 12% of the fourth-year students(n=190). On an institutional level the proportion of students answering all MCQ's correctly ranged from 2% to 54% at different universities. Eighty-one percent of students(n=3,031) wished for more BLS training in their curriculum.CONCLUSION: Factual knowledge of BLS is poor among medical students in the UK. | 3 | NUTRIOSE1^®膳食纤维补充剂对男性超重者的体重,体成分,能量摄入量和饥饿感的影响显示文摘目的评估NUTRIOSE水溶性膳食纤维对中国成年男性超重者的体重、体成分、能量摄入量和饥饿感的影响。方法在双盲条件下,将受试者随机分成两组,分别摄入含17gNUTRIOSE锄水溶性膳食纤维(实验组,n=60)和含17g麦芽糊精(对照组,n=60)的果汁250ml,每天2次,为期12周。在试验的第0周,第4周,第8周和第12周测量受试者的体重和体成分,每3天评估1次受试者的日均能量摄入量和饥饿感。结果12周后,实验组受试者平均体重较对照组轻1.5kg(P〈0.001),体质指数平均减少0.5kg/m^2(P〈0.001),身体脂肪率平均降低了0.3%(P〈0.001)。且在试验开始的第3天,NUTRIOSE水溶性膳食纤维组的日均能量摄入量就低于对照组(12周平均日能量摄入量,实验组较对照组低3079kJ/天,P〈0.001)。试验过程中,实验组受试者的饥饿感比对照组受试者的饥饿感小(P〈0.001)。结论NUTRIOSE膳食纤维补充剂有助于男性超重者改善体成分,降低体重和日均能量摄人量,减少饥饿感。 | LAETITIA GUERIN-DEREMAUX 厉曙光 MARINE POCHAT DANIEL WILS 袁琨 MOHAMED MUBASHER CHERYL REIFER LARRY E. | 9 | Necrolytic acral erythema in a human immunodeficiency virus/hepatitis C virus coinfected patient:A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Necrolytic acral erythema(NAE) is a rare dermatological disorder,which is associated with hepatitis C virus(HCV) infection or zinc deficiency.It is characterized by erythematous or violaceous lesions occurring primarily in the lower extremities.The treatment includes systemic steroids and oral zinc supplementation.We report a case of NAE in a 66-year-old human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)/HCV co-infected woman with NAE.NAE is rarely reported in co-infected patients and the exact mechanisms of pathogenesis are still unclear.CASE SUMMARY A 66-year-old HIV/HCV co-infected female patient presented with painless,nonpruritic rash of extremities for one week and underwent extensive work-up for possible rheumatologic disorders including vasculitis and cryoglobulinemia.Punch skin biopsies of right and left thigh revealed thickened parakeratotic stratum corneum most consistent with NAE.Patient was started on prednisone and zinc supplementation with resolution of the lesions and improvement of rash.CONCLUSION Clinicians should maintain high clinical suspicion for early recognition of NAE in patients with rash and HCV. | Katerina G Oikonomou Dost Sarpel Alexandra Abrams-Downey Adnan Mubasher Douglas T Dieterich | 2019 | World Journal of Hepatology2019，11，2： | 1 |

| 20 | Dynamics of Particles Around a Regular Black Hole with Nonlinear Electrodynamics显示文摘We investigate the dynamics of a charged particle being kicked off from its circular orbit around a regular black hole by an incoming massive particle in the presence of magnetic field. The resulting escape velocity, escape energy and the effective potential are analyzed. It is shown that the presence of even a very weak magnetic field helps the charged particles in escaping the gravitational field of the black hole. Moreover the effective force acting on the particle visibly reduces with distance.
