| 2 | Foliation and the First Law of Black Hole Thermodynamics显示文摘There has been lots of interest in exploring the thermodynamic properties at the horizon of a black hole spacetime.It has been shown earlier that for different spacetimes,the Einstein field equations at the horizon can be expressed as the first law of black hole thermodynamics.Using the idea of foliation,we develop a simpler procedure toobtain such results.We considerγ=constant slices,for the Schwarzschild and Reissner-Nordstrom black hole spacetimes.The Einstein field equations for the induced 3-dimensional metrics of the hypersurfaces are expressed in thermodynamic quantities under the virtual displacements of the hypersurfaces.As expected,it is found that the field equations of the induced metric corresponding to the horizon can be written as afirst law of black hole thermodynamics.It is to be mentioned here that our procedure is much easier,to obtain such results,as here one has to essentially deal with(n-1)-dimensional induced metric for an n-dimensional spacetime. | Azad A.Siddiqui Syed Muhammad Jawwad Riaz M.Akbar | 2011 | Chinese Physics Letters2011,28,5: | 0 |
| 3 | Paediatric-appropriate facilities in emergencydepartments of community hospitals in Ontario:A cross-sectional study显示文摘BACKGROUND: We assessed whether the paediatric-appropriate facilities were available at Emergency Departments(ED) in community hospitals in a Canadian province.METHODS: We conducted a cross-sectional survey of EDs in community hospitals in Ontario, Canada that had inpatient paediatric facilities and a neonatal intensive care unit. Key informants were ED chiefs, clinical educators, or managers. The survey included questions about paediatric facilities related to environment, triage, training, and staff in EDs.RESULTS: Of 52 hospitals, 69%(n=36) responded to our survey. Of them, 14% EDs(n=5) had some separated spaces available for paediatric patients. About 53%(n=19) of EDs lacked children activities, e.g., toys. Only 11%(n=4) EDs were using paediatric triage scales and 42%(n=15) had a designated paediatric resuscitation bay. Only half of the ED(n=18) required from their staff to update paediatric life support training. Only 31%(n=11) had a designated liaison paediatrician for the ED. | 4 | Deciphering the role of rGO in tuning dielectric properties of Er_(2)O_(3)/ZnO/rGO nanocomposites synthesized via facile approach显示文摘The present research investigated the effect of reduced graphene oxide(rGO) integration with assynthesized Er_(2)O_(3)/ZnO nanocomposites on dielectric properties. The samples were characterized by Xray diffraction(XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(DRS), and energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS). Complex impedance spectroscopy was utilized to characterize dielectric relaxation phenomena in Er_(2)O_(3)/ZnO and Er_(2)O_(3)/ZnO/rGO nanocomposites. All the samples exhibit single relaxation phenomena which are ascribed to grain boundaries. The addition of rGO to Er_(2)O_(3)/ZnO nanocomposite results in the enhancement of dielectric response due to increased local field intensity caused by the formation of conductinginsulating interfaces. Furthermore, the AC conductivity of the Er_(2)O_(3)/ZnO/rGO is increased at higher frequencies due to the presence of free charge carriers in rGO. At higher frequencies, Er_(2)O_(3)/ZnO/rGO nanocomposite with increased concentration of ZnO exhibits a more stable dielectric constant with extremely low dielectric loss. | 6 | A Health Monitoring System Using IoT-Based Android Mobile Application显示文摘Numerous types of research on healthcare monitoring systems have been conducted for calculating heart rate,ECG,nasal/oral airflow,temperature,light sensor,and fall detection sensor.Different researchers have done different work in the field of health monitoring with sensor networks.Different researchers used built-in apps,such as some used a small number of parameters,while some other studies used more than one microcontroller and used senders and receivers among the microcontrollers to communicate,and outdated tools for study development.While no efficient,cheap,and updated work is proposed in the field of sensor-based health monitoring systems.Therefore,this study developed an android-based mobile system that can remotely monitor electrocardiograms(ECGs),pulse oximetry,heart rate,and body temperature.The microcontroller’s Wi-Fi device is used to manage wireless data transport.The findings of the patient are saved on the Firebase server for further usage in the mobile app.The performance of the proposed device is tested on ten numbers of different patients age-wise in terms of beats per minute(BPM),ECG,Temperature,and SpO2.This system uses temperature,pulse,ECG,blood pressure,and eye blink sensors.This device makes the usage of a tiny pulse sensor that has been designed to provide an accurate and optimal readout of the pulse rate and a temperature sensor is also included.With the help of an MCU,our system measures the pulse rate in beats per minute(bpm),blood oxygen level temperature measurements,and ECG readings and communicates this information to the Firebase server.To check the performance of the proposed system first,the BPM parameter was checked on the cardiac monitor.Then,the proposed model is tested on different patients age-wise.The simulation result shows that the BPM reading is not much different than the BPM of the cardiac monitor.According to the simulation findings,the proposed model achieved the best performance as compared to commercially available devices. | Madallah Alruwaili Muhammad Hameed Siddiqi Kamran Farid Muhammad Azad Saad Alanazi Asfandyar Khan Abdullah Khan | 2023 | Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,47,11: | 0 |
