1Location-allocation modeling for emergency evacuation planning with GIS and remote sensing:A case study of Northeast Bangladesh显示文摘This work developed models to identify optimal spatial distribution of emergency evacuation centers(EECs)such as schools,colleges,hospitals,and fire stations to improve flood emergency planning in the Sylhet region of northeastern Bangladesh.The use of location-allocation models(LAMs)for evacuation in regard to flood victims is essential to minimize disaster risk.In the first step,flood susceptibility maps were developed using machine learning models(MLMs),including:Levenberg-Marquardt back propagation(LM-BP)neural network and decision trees(DT)and multi-criteria decision making(MCDM)method.Performance of the MLMs and MCDM techniques were assessed considering the area under the receiver operating characteristic(AUROC)curve.Mathematical approaches in a geographic information system(GIS)for four well-known LAM problems affecting emergency rescue time are proposed:maximal covering location problem(MCLP),the maximize attendance(MA),p-median problem(PMP),and the location set covering problem(LSCP).The results showed that existing EECs were not optimally distributed,and that some areas were not adequately served by EECs(i.e.,not all demand points could be reached within a 60-min travel time).We concluded that the proposed models can be used to improve planning of the distribution of EECs,and that application of the models could contribute to reducing human casualties,property losses,and improve emergency operation.Mahfuzur Rahman Ningsheng Chen MdMonirul Islam Ashraf Dewan Hamid Reza Pourghasemi Rana Muhammad AliWashakh Nirdesh Nepal Shufeng Tian Hamid Faiz Mehtab Alam Naveed Ahmed 2021Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,3:3

4Migraine in physicians and final year medical students:A crosssectional insight into prevalence,self-awareness,and knowledge from Pakistan显示文摘BACKGROUND Despite its high prevalence,migraine remains underdiagnosed worldwide.A significant reason is the knowledge gap in physicians regarding diagnostic criteria,clinical features,and other clinical aspects of migraine.AIM To measure the knowledge deficit in physicians and medical students and to assess the prevalence of migraine in the same population.METHODS An online questionnaire was developed and distributed among physicians and final year medical students on duty in various medical and surgical specialties of Allied and DHQ Hospitals,Faisalabad,between October 2018 and October 2019.Inclusion criteria were public practicing physicians who experience headaches,while those who never experienced headaches were excluded.Different questions assessed respondents on their knowledge of triggers,diagnosis,management,and prophylaxis of the migraine headache.They were asked to diagnose themselves using embedded ICHD-3 diagnostic criteria for different types of migraine.Graphs,tables,and figures were made using Microsoft Office 2016 and Microsoft Visio,and data analysis was done in R Studio 1.4.RESULTS We had 213 respondents and 175 fulfilled inclusion criteria,with 99(52%),58(30%)and 12(6.3%)belonging to specialties of medicine,surgery,and others,respectively.Both genders were symmetrically represented(88 male and 87 female).Fifty-two(24.4%)of our 213 respondents were diagnosed with migraine,with 26(50%)being aware of it.Females had higher prevalence among study participants(n=28,32.2%)compared to males(n=20,22.7%,P=0.19).A majority(62%)of subjects never consulted any doctor for their headache.Similarly,a majority(62%)either never heard or did not remember the diagnostic criteria of migraine.Around 38%falsely believed that having any type of aura is essential for diagnosing migraine.The consultation rate was 37%(n=65),and migraineurs were significantly more likely to have consulted a doctor,and a neurologist in particular(P<0.001).Consulters and migraineurs fared better in the knowledge of diagnostic aspects of the disease than their counterparts.There was no significant difference in other knowledge aspects between consulters versus non-consulters and migraineurs versus nonmigraineurs.CONCLUSION Critical knowledge gaps exist between physicians and medical students,potentially contributing to misdiagnosis and mismanagement of migraine.Hassan Choudry Fateen Ata Muhammad Naveed Naveed Alam Ruqaiya Ruqaiya Mahammed Khan Suheb Muhammad Qaiser Ikram Muhammad Muzammil Chouhdry Muaz Muaz 2022World Journal of Methodology2022,12,5:1
5Comparison of Mechanical Properties of Acid and UV Ozone Treated Nanodiamond Epoxy Nanocomposites显示文摘Nanodiamond(ND) powder was successfully activated by wet chemical method and by exposure of UV/O_3 in a chamber followed by mixing in triethylenetetramine(TETA) solution.The reinforcement role of activated ND in the mechanical properties of epoxy matrix was studied.Both treatments,i.e.acid and UV/O_3 provide ND surface with chemical functionalities for adhesion with epoxy resin.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy was utilized to confirm the attachment of surface groups to the ND particles.The low content of acid and UV/O_3 activated ND was dispersed ultrasonically in the epoxy matrix separately to make nanocomposites.The mechanical properties of the nanocomposites were investigated under three point bending.The strong interactions among activated ND particles and the epoxy resin provide efficient load transfer interfaces,which enhances the mechanical properties of the composites.It was found that the flexural strength,modulus,and toughness of 0.1 wt%ND loaded nanocomposites have been enhanced up to 85%,57%,and 39%,respectively for UV/O_3 treated ND powder.It is also found that the optimum ND concentration to achieve maximum reinforcement is 0.1 wt%while higher concentrations lead to decrease in mechanical properties.The significant improvement of the mechanical properties of the ND/epoxy nanocomposites is attributed to the good dispersion of the functionalized ND in epoxy matrix.Sobia A.Rakha Naveed Ali Yasir A.Haleem Fakhre Alam Aqeel A.Khurram Arshad Munir 2014Journal of Materials Science & Technology2014,30,8:0

7Response of French Bean Cultivars to Plant Spacing Under Agroclimatic Condition of Baffa显示文摘This experiment was carried out at Mansehra during cropping season of 2013. There were three French bean cultivars and four different plant spacings. The experiment was laid out on a Randomized Complete Block Design(RCBD) with three replications. Different cultivars, plant spacings and their interactions significantly influenced all the parameters studied. Maximum days to flowering(59.33) and seed maturity(97.66) were recorded in cultivar Komal Green grown at 15 cm spacing, while, maximum 100-grain weight(42.20 g) was noted in cultivar Peshawar Local grown at 60 cm spacing. However, maximum fresh pod yield · plant-1(109.67 g), number of seed · pod^(-1)(7.99) and seed yield · hm^(-2)(1 437.3 kg) were recorded in cultivar Paulista grown at spacing of 45 cm. Whereas, maximum plant height(40.50 cm) was noticed in cultivar Paulista grown at 15 cm plant spacing. While, the least number of days to flowering(50.33) and to seed maturity(85.66) were taken by cultivar Paulista grown at 60 cm plant spacing. Likewise, minimum seed yield(311.9 kg · hm^(-2)) was recorded in plants of cultivar Komal Green spaced at 60 cm plant spacing. While, minimum fresh pod weight · plant-1(67.00 g) and number of seed · pod^(-1)(4.66) were attained in cultivar Peshawar Local grown at 15 cm plant spacing.
