| 1 | Study on the HPHT synthetic diamond crystal from Fe-C(H) system and its significance显示文摘Investigations of crystal habit, micro-topographic imaging, micro-composition and micro-structural analysis of HPHT synthetic diamonds from the Fe-C(H) system indicate that most of them have an oc-tahedral habit. The crystals grow mainly layer-to-layer from center to periphery. HPHT synthetic dia-mond is smaller in size than natural diamond because it only goes through nucleation and growth in the early stage. In the middle and late stages, due to the coalescence of diamond grains related to dif-ferences of surface energy, the growth of HPHT synthetic diamond is limited. The active energy (E) of transforming single nitrogen into a nitrogen-pair is lowered and the time of transforming single nitro-gen into a nitrogen-pair is shortened because of the existence of hydrogen. Therefore, aggregate ni-trogen (A-centers) may exist in synthetic diamond from HPHT and explosive detonation processes. It needs further discussion on a worldwide view that the time of natural diamond formation extracted from nitrogen aggregation is some hundred million years. Consideration of the way in which surface energy influences the growth of diamond can help to understand some of the remaining issues (e.g. growth mechanism, etc.) in the HPHT synthetic process and effectively explain the formation of natural diamond in terms of HPHT thermodynamic theory. | 2 | Single atoms in the ring lattice for quantum information processing and quantum simulation显示文摘We have demonstrated preparing and rotating single neutral rubidium atoms in an optical ring lattice generated by a spatial light modulator, inserting two atoms into a single microscopic optical potential efficiently by dynamically reshaping the optical dipole trap, trapping single atoms in a blue detuned optical bottle beam trap, and confining single atoms into the Lamb-Dicke regime by combining red and blue detuned optical potentials. In combination with the manipulation of internal states of single atoms, the study is opening a way for research in the field of quantum information processing and quantum simulation. | 3 | HAZ Characterization and Mechanical Properties of QP980-DP980 Laser Welded Joints显示文摘The QP980-DP980 dissimilar steel joints were fabricated by fiber laser welding.The weld zone(WZ)was fully martensitic structure,and heat-affected zone(HAZ)contained newly-formed martensite and partially tempered martensite(TM)in both steels.The supercritical HAZ of the QP980 side had higher microhardness(~549.5 Hv)than that of the WZ due to the finer martensite.A softened zone was present in HAZ of QP980 and DP980,the dropped microhardness of softened zone of the QP980 and DP980 wasΔ21.8 Hv andΔ40.9 Hv,respectively.Dislocation walls and slip bands were likely formed at the grain boundaries with the increase of strain,leading to the formation of low angle grain boundaries(LAGBs).Dislocation accumulation more easily occurred in the LAGBs than that of the HAGBs,which led to significant dislocation interaction and formation of cracks.The electron back-scattered diffraction(EBSD)results showed the fraction of LAGBs in sub-critical HAZ of DP980 side was the highest under different deformation conditions during tensile testing,resulting in the failure of joints located at the sub-critical HAZ of DP980 side.The QP980-DP980 dissimilar steel joints presented higher elongation(~11.21%)and ultimate tensile strength(~1011.53 MPa)than that of DP980-DP980 similar steel joints,because during the tensile process of the QP980-DP980 dissimilar steel joint(~8.2%and 991.38 MPa),the strain concentration firstly occurred on the excellent QP980 BM.Moreover,Erichsen cupping tests showed that the dissimilar welded joints had the lowest Erichsen value(~5.92 mm)and the peak punch force(~28.4 kN)due to the presence of large amount of brittle martensite in WZ and inhomogeneous deformation. | Junliang Xue Peng Peng Wei Guo Mingsheng Xia Caiwang Tan Zhandong Wan Hongqiang Zhang Yongqiang Li | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,4: | 3 |
| 4 | The effect of SiO_2 particle size on iron based F–T synthesis catalysts显示文摘The effect of particle size of silica, as catalyst binder, on the chemical and mechanical properties of iron based FT catalyst was studied in this work. The samples were characterized using XRD, BET, TEM, FT-IR, and H2-TPR, respectively. The attrition resistance and the FT activity were tested. Si-8–Si-15 catalysts prepared with 8–15 nm silica sol show good attrition resistance(attrition loss b 4%), especially Si-13 with an attrition loss of 1.89%. Hematite appeared in XRD patterns when silica sol above 15 nm is used. TEM micrographs show that no obvious Si O_2 particles appear when silica sol particle with size less than 8 nm was used, but Si O_2 particles coated with small ferrihydrite particles appear when silica sol above 8 nm was used. Si–O–Si vibration peak in FT-IR spectra increases with increasing silica sol size. | 5 | Reduced thermal boundary conductance in GaN-based electronic devices introduced by metal bonding layer显示文摘Achieving high interface thermal conductance is one of the biggest challenges in the nanoscale heat transport of GaN-based devices such as light emitting diodes(LEDs),and high electron mobility transistors(HEMTs).In this work,we experimentally measured thermal boundary conductance(TBC)at interfaces between GaN and the substrates with AuSn alloy as a commonly-used adhesive layer by time-domain thermoreflectance(TDTR).We find that the TBCs of GaN/Ti/AuSn/Ti/Si,GaN/Ti/AuSn/Ti/SiC,and GaN/Ti/AuSn/Ti/diamond,are 16.5,14.8,and 13.2 MW·m^(-2)·K^(-1)at room temperature,respectively.Our measured results show that the TBC of GaN/Ti/AuSn/Ti/SiC interface is inferior to the TBC of pristine GaN/SiC interface,due to the large mismatch of phonon modes between AuSn/Ti and substrates,shown as the difference of Debye temperature of two materials.Overall,we measured the TBC at interface between GaN and thermal conductive substrates,and provided a guideline for designing the interface between GaN and substrate at HEMT from a thermal management point of view. | Susu Yang Houfu Song Yan Peng Lu Zhao Yuzhen Tong Feiyu Kang Mingsheng Xu Bo Sun Xinqiang Wang | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,10: | 1 |

| 8 | Preliminary Survey of Trunk Growth Strain in Six Eucalyptuses Grown in Southern China显示文摘The longitudinal displacement between two reference points upon stress release was measuredthrogh using the CIRAD-forêt one-hole method on a total of 305 trees of 6 eucalyptuses, includingEucalyptus urophylla, E. pellita, E. teriticornis, E. camaldulensis, E. urophylla × E. grandis and E.urophylla × E. teriticornis. These trees were between 3 to 5 years old and are regarded as commerciallyimportant plantation species in China. Significant differences in the growth strain and diameter atbreast height over bark (DBHOB) were observed between species, provenances and clones of thesame age. The data clearly showed that, E. pellita, E. teriticornis and E. camaldulensis (provenance15025) had higher growth rates but much lower growth strain at the tree surface, in comparison to otherspecies / hybrids / clones. | 9 | Outcomes of palliative local treatment in metastatic colorectal cancer patients receiving chemotherapy plus bevacizumab显示文摘Objective The aim of this study was to assess the value of palliative local treatment of incurable metastatic lesions in colorectal cancer(CRC) patients receiving chemotherapy plus bevacizumab.Methods Data of 105 patients with histologically confirmed synchronous or metachronous metastatic CRC who received bevacizumab treatment from January 1, 2011 to January 31, 2017 were retrospectively reviewed. Sixteen(15%) patients who were treated with bevacizumab for less than 4 cycles were excluded, and finally, 89(85%) patients were enrolled. Among them, 33(37%) patients who received palliative local treatment were categorized into the palliative local treatment group, and the remaining 56(63%) patients were categorized into the chemotherapy plus bevacizumab group. The primary endpoint was overall survival(OS), which was calculated using Kaplan-Meier survival analyses. Factors possibly influencing survival were evaluated by univariate and multivariate analyses. Adverse events(AEs) were graded according to Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events, version 4.0. Grades 1–2 and 3–4 AEs of the two groups were compared and analyzed using the Fisher's exact test and χ~2 analysis.Results The median follow-up period was 20.4 months, ranging from 1 to 60 months. The median OS in the palliative local treatment group was 36.3 months(95% CI, 33.5–39.2), and that in the chemotherapy plus bevacizumab group was 20.5 months(95% CI, 17.6–23.4). Both the univariate(HR 0.13, 95% CI, 0.05–0.30, P < 0.001) and multivariate(HR 0.16, 95% CI, 0.07–0.39, P < 0.001) analyses showed that the addition of palliative local treatment could prolong survival compared with chemotherapy plus bevacizumab alone. | 10 | Pharmacognosy of Brazilian Ginseng ( Pfaffia paniculata)显示文摘[Objective] This study aimed to explore the pharmacognostical features of Brazilian ginseng( Pfaffia paniculata),and to provide a theoretical basis for its development and utilization. [Method] Morphological traits of Brazilian ginseng root were observed with traditional methods. Then,the root,stem and leaf of Brazilian ginseng were sliced,and observed under a microscope. The physical and chemical properties of root extract were detected. [Result] Brazilian ginseng root is elongated and cylindrical,with obvious longitudinal ridges and sparse root marks,some irregularly shaped lenticels on the surface. The cork layer of crosssection has five or more rows of cork cells. The abnormal vascular bundles are arranged in two to three rings. There are two to three central vascular bundles. The wood fibers in powder are long,with one bifurcate end. The vessels have bordered pits. The sand crystals are scattered or in the parenchyma surrounding the fibers.The mucilage cells are oval and widely exist. Physical and chemical experiments showed that the root of Brazilian ginseng contains sterols or triterpenes and saponins. | 11 | Spectroscopic Features and Formation Conditions of Sphalerite in the Lead-Zinc Deposit, Guangdong,China显示文摘Electron paramagnetic resonance spectra, absorption spectra, cathodoluminescence spectra and infrared spectra of sphalerite from the Lechang remoulded sedimentary lead-zinc deposit have been studied so as to provide microscopic evidence for the formation conditions and mineralization stages of the deposit as well as the geochemical processes of mineralization. On the basis of thermodynamic calculations, the stable fields of sphalerite from different mineralization stages were determined and are shown in logfs2-logfo2 diagrams; furthermore. the physico-chemical conditions of mineralization and the properties of mineralization solutions are discussed so that reliability of the genetic information provided by the spectroscopy of sphalerite may also be verified. | 13 | Acute toxicity of 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine in the anxious mood of rats显示文摘BACKGROUND: The long-term neurotoxicity of 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) mainly caused by repeated exposure to MDMA or a single big dose of MDMA, which results in degeneration of serotonin terminal of central nervous system, and someone believe that the great release of serotonin transmitter in central nervous system will lead to anxious mood. OBJECTIVE: To observe the changes of anxiety related behaviors in rats after single administration of different doses of MDMA. DESIGN: A randomized control study. SETTING: Laboratory of Psychopharmacology of the Mental Health Center, West China Hospital of Sichuan University. MATERIALS: Thirty male adult Wistar rats, weighing (251.3±18.34) g, were used. MDMA were obtained from the National Institute for the Control of Pharmaceutical and Biological Products, and dissolved in saline. All the doses of the drug were administered in a volume of 1 mg/kg. METHODS: The experiment was carried out in the Laboratory of Psychopharmacology of the Mental Health Center, West China Hospital of Sichuan University in July 2003. ①The rats were randomly divided into control group (n=6) and experimental group (n=24), and then those in the latter were randomly assigned into four subgroups of MDMA 3, 5, 10 and 20 mg/kg groups, with 6 rats in each, which were administrated by single intraperitoneal injection of MDMA 3, 5, 10 and 20 mg/kg respectively, and those in the control group were administrated by single intraperitoneal injection of saline of the same volume. ② The open field test, elevated plus-maze test and social interaction test were performed immediately after administration. For the open field test, the apparatus was situated in a darkened room, illuminated by a single 60 W white light bulb located approximately 60 cm above the center of the open field. Before administration, all the rats were placed into the open field to be familiar with the open field for 5 minutes. They were observed for 45 minutes after administration. The locomotion (number of squares the rat passes), rearing response, time spent in central squares and defecation were observed, 1 minute for each time for a total of 9 times. For the elevated plus-maze test, the maze was situated in a quiet darkened room, illuminated by a single 60 W white light bulb located approximately 50 cm above the center of the maze. Arm entries were only counted when all the four paws had entered either a closed or an open arm within 5 minutes, and the time spent in the arms were observed. For the social interaction test, the matched rats were put into the arena head-to-head in opposite direction, and aggressive-type behaviors, avoidance, passive and exploration were observed. ③ The one-way analysis of variance was performed with the SPSS 10.0 software. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The results of open field test, elevated plus-maze test and social interaction test were observed. RESULTS: All the 30 rats were involved in the analysis of results. ① Results of open field test: After single administration of MDMA of 5, 10 and 20 mg/kg, the dose-dependent locomotors (number of squares the rat passes) in the experimental groups were obviously higher than those in the control group [(21.67±17.55), (34.44±19.47), (33.48±23.34), (7.31±6.02) s; P < 0.05], and the rearing responses were markedly lower than those in the control group [(0.70±1.71), (0.96±1.68), (0.39±0.88), (1.37±1.59) s, P < 0.05]. ② Results of the elevated plus-maze test: After acute administration of MDMA, there were no differences between the MDMA subgroups and saline group in the number of open-arms entries, the open-arms time, the percent of number of open arm entries/total arm entries, and the percent of time spent on the open arms/total time (P > 0.05). ③ Results of the social international test: After acute administration of MDMA, there were no differences between the MDMA subgroups and saline group in the aggressive-type behaviors, avoidance, passive, exploration and total time of interaction (P > 0.05) CONCLUSION: The acute administration of MDMA has no obvious influence on the anxiety-related behaviors of rats. | Suxia Li Jing Li Xue Wang Weihong Kuang Zugui Peng Mingsheng Huang | 2006 | Neural Regeneration Research2006,1,2: | 0 |

| 15 | A multi-layer genome mining and phylogenomic analysis to construct efficient and autonomous efflux system for medium chain fatty acids显示文摘Medium-chain fatty acids(MCFAs)are important components for food,pharmaceutical and fuel industries.Nevertheless,engineering microorganisms to produce MCFAs often induces toxicity and stresses towards host strains,which could be alleviated via accelerating the export of MCFAs from cells.However,current secretory systems are inefficient and require inducible promoters.Here,a multi-layer genome mining and phylogenomic analysis was developed to identify efficient efflux transporters.Firstly,based on the genomic mining of 397 strains throughout various representative species,the evolutionary history of efflux transporters was recapitulated,and further experimental analysis revealed that acrE from Citrobacter exhibited the best performance.Secondly,according to the further mining of 797 Citrobacter genomes and 1084 Escherichia genomes,a detailed phylogenomic analysis of efflux transporter-centric genomic vicinities was performed.This led to the identification of efficient efflux pump combination acrE and acrF.These efflux pumps were then combined with the quorum-sensing circuit from Enterococcus faecalis to regulate MCFA efflux in an autonomous manner,which achieved a 4.9-fold boost in MCFA production and firstly demonstrated the efficient and autonomous efflux pump specially for MCFAs.The integrative omics technologies described here are enabling the utilization of the increasingly large database and the effective mining of target gene diversities. | Hu Peng Lin Zhou Xuguo Duan Zhaojun Wang Zhaoshi Wang Mo Xia Mingsheng Dong Junjun Wu | 2022 | Food Materials Research2022,2,1: | 0 |
