2Activation of Toll-like receptors signaling in non-small cell lung cancer cell line induced by tumor-associated macrophages显示文摘Background:Inflammation is often linked with the progress and poor outcome of lung cancer.The understanding of the relationship between tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs) and lung cancer cells involves in the underlying mechanism of inflammatory cytokine production.Toll-like receptors(TLRs) are engaged in promoting the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and play an important role in tumor immunology.Methods:To investigate the mechanisms by which TAMs influence the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines in lung cancer cells,we established an in vitro coculture system using TAMs and human nonsmall cell lung cancer(NSCLC) cell line SPC-A1.Levels of interleukin(IL)-1β,IL-6 and IL-8 in SPC-A1 were evaluated by RT-PCR and cytometric bead array assay after being cocultured with TAMs.Expression changes of TLRs and TLRs signaling pathway proteins in SPC-A1 were further confirmed by RT-PCR and western blot.The level changes of IL-1β,IL-6 and IL-8 in SPC-A1 were also detected after the stimulation of TLRs agonists.Results:We found that the phenotype markers of TAMs were highly expressed after stimulating human monocyte cell line THP-1 by phorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate(PMA).Higher mRNA and supernate secretion levels of IL-1β,IL-6 and IL-8 were detected in SPC-A1 after being cocultured with TAMs.We also found that TLR1,TLR6 and TLR7 were up-regulated in SPC-A1 in the coculture system with TAMs.Meanwhile,TLRs signaling pathway proteins were also significantly activated.Moreover,pre-treatment with agonist ligands for TLR1,TLR6 and TLR7 could dramatically promote inductions of IL-1β,IL-6 and IL-8.Conclusions:These findings demonstrated that TAMs may enhance IL-1β,IL-6 and IL-8 expressions via TLRs signaling pathway.We conclude that TAMs contribute to maintain the inflammation microenvironment and ultimately promote the development and progression of lung cancer.Xing Ke Meng Wu Jianfang Lou Shuping Zhang Peijun Huang Ruihong Sun Lei Huang Erfu Xie Fang Wang Bing Gu 2015Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2015,27,2:6
3Geochemical characteristics of Oligocene-Miocene sediments from the deepwater area of the northern South China Sea and their provenance implications显示文摘Geochemical and detrital zircon U-Pb dating data for drilled sediments from the Baiyun deepwater area of the northern South China Sea demonstrate a change of sedimentary sources from the Oligocene to the Miocene.Zircon ages of the pre-rift Eocene sequences are dominated by Yanshanian ages with various peak values(110–115 Ma for U1435 and L21; 150 Ma for H1), indicating local sediment supply from the pre-existing Mesozoic magmatic belt. For the Oligocene sediments in the northern part of the basin, the rare earth elements show different distribution characteristics, indicating sediment supply from the paleo-Zhujiang River(Pearl River), as also confirmed by the multimodal zircon age spectra of the Lower Oligocene strata in Well X28. By contrast, a positive Eu anomaly characterizes sediments from the western and southern parts of the basin, indicating potential provenances from intermediate to basic volcanic rock materials. The Baiyun Movement at the end of the Oligocene contributed to a large-scale subsidence in the deepwater area and also a northward retreat of continental shelf break, leading to deepening depositional environment in the basin. As a result, all the detrital zircon ages of the Upper Oligocene strata from Wells X28, L13, and L21 share a similar distribution, implying the possible control of a common source like the Zhujiang River. 6Two-dimensional interface superstructures assembled by well-ordered solute atoms显示文摘Segregation of solutes/impurities in the interfaces plays a decisive role in material performances.However,the segregation of solutes/impurities remains elusive due to the diversity of interfacial structures.Here,in a Mg-Nd-Mn ternary model system,two ordered novel two-dimensional(2D)interfacial superstructures formed by periodic segregation of solute atoms in special symmetric and asymmetric tilt grain boundaries(GBs)have been systematically investigated.Z-Contrast high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy(HAADF-STEM)observations provided the atomic-level details on how solute atoms were arranged on these special partially coherent tilt GBs.The strained conditions of each atomic site at the tilt GBs were accurately reproduced by molecular dynamics(MD)simulations plus Voronoi analysis,and the rationality of solute segregation in each atomic-site was evaluated carefully based on the first-principles calculations.These findings expand our knowledge of solute/impurity segregation behaviors in the interfaces,especially the co-segregation behaviors in multi-component materials.Peijun Yang Shanshan Li Hongbo Xie Jianfeng Jin Chuangwei Liu Hucheng Pan Yuping Ren Weitao Jia Yaping Zong Gaowu Qin 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,11:0
7A case report of chylous ascites after cardiac surgery显示文摘Background:Chylous ascites(CA),an emulsion rich in triglycerides,is a rare type of ascites,especially after cardiac surgery.Also,there are few reports of the occurrence of CA after mitral valve replacement,aortic valve replacement,tricuspid valvuloplasty,and coronary artery bypass grafting.Case presentation:We report the case of a 53-year-old man who underwent surgery for a diagnosis of mitral incompetence,aortic incompetence,tricuspid incompetence,and coronary atherosclerotic heart disease.Fifteen days after surgery,3000 mL of milky-yellow ascites appeared in the abdominal cavity,diagnosed as CA by laboratory examination.The ascites gradually disappeared after being drained,and the patients improved.The curative was objective,but the exact cause is not clear.Conclusion:Although CA is rare,it may occur during the surgical intervention in cardiac surgery.Shuaishuai Yuan Pailing Xie Xiantao Liu Peijun Li 2024Emergency and Critical Care Medicine2024,4,1:0
