| 1 | Use of genotype-environment interactions to elucidate the pattern of maize root plasticity to nitrogen deficiency显示文摘Maize(Zea mays L.) root morphology exhibits a high degree of phenotypic plasticity to nitrogen(N) de ficiency,but the underlying genetic architecture remains to be investigated Using an advanced BC_4F_3 population,we investigated the root growth plasticity under two contrasted N levels and identi fied the quantitative trait loci(QTLs) with QTL-environment(Q×E)interaction effects. Principal components analysis(PCA) on changes of root traits to N de ficiency(D LN-HN) showed that root length and biomass contributed for 45.8% in the same magnitude and direction on the first PC,while root traits scattered highly on PC_2 and PC_3. Hierarchical cluster analysis on traits for D LN-HN further assigned the BC_4F_3 lines into six groups,in which the special phenotypic responses to N de ficiency was presented These results revealed the complicated root plasticity of maize in response to N de ficiency that can be caused by genotype environment(G×E) interactions. Furthermore,QTL mapping using a multi-environment analysis identi fied 35 QTLs for root traits. Nine of these QTLs exhibited signi ficant Q×E interaction effects. | 2 | Chemical synthesis and structural analysis of guanylate cyclase C agonist linaclotide显示文摘Guanylate cyclase C(GC-C) is an important receptor protein expressed by intestinal epithelial cells, and its dysregulation leads to severe intestinal diseases. Linaclotide is a 14-amino acid peptide approved by the FDA for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome with constipation(IBS-C), which activates guanylate cyclase C to accelerate intestinal transit. Drug molecule design based on structural information plays a crucial role and the activity of linaclotide still need to improve, while the structure of linaclotide remains unknown. In this work, linaclotide and its D-enantiomer were obtained through Fmoc solid phase peptide synthesis method and co-crystalized through racemic crystallization. | 5 | Efficient seismic analysis for nonlinear soil-structure interaction with a thick soil layer显示文摘The direct finite element method is a type commonly used for nonlinear seismic soil-structure interaction(SSI)analysis.This method introduces a truncated boundary referred to as an artificial boundary meant to divide the soil-structure system into finite and infinite domains.An artificial boundary condition is used on a truncated boundary to achieve seismic input and simulate the wave radiation effect of infinite domain.When the soil layer is particularly thick,especially for a three-dimensional problem,the computational efficiency of seismic SSI analysis is very low due to the large size of the finite element model,which contains an whole thick soil layer.In this paper,an accurate and efficient scheme is developed to solve the nonlinear seismic SSI problem regarding thick soil layers.The process consists of nonlinear site response and SSI analysis.The nonlinear site response analysis is still performed for the whole thick soil layer.The artificial boundary at the bottom of the SSI analysis model is subsequently relocated upward from the bottom of the soil layer(bedrock surface)to the location nearest to the structure as possible.Finally,three types of typical sites and underground structures are adopted with seismic SSI analysis to evaluate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed efficient analysis scheme. | Gao Zhidong Zhao Xu Zhao Mi Du Xiuli Wang Junjie Liu Pengcheng | 2021 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2021,20,3: | 0 |
