11Liquid superlubricity of lubricants containing hydroxyl groups and their aqueous solution under rolling/sliding conditions显示文摘Macroscale rolling/sliding conditions are in the superlubricity,a little-studied topic so far.The purpose of this paper is to examine the formation of elastohydrodynamic lubrication(EHL)films by water-based lubricants(glycerol and polyethylene glycol(PEG)),providing superlubricous friction.Experiments were carried out on an optical ball-on-disc tribometer under rolling/sliding conditions.The film thickness was measured by the thin film colorimetric interferometry,and the viscosity of liquids was measured by rotational and high-pressure falling body viscometers.The results show that tribochemical reactions are not the mandatory reason for friction to reach the superlubricity level when using the water-based lubricants.The studied liquids themselves are almost Newtonian.With the addition of water,the signs of shear thinning behavior disappear even more.Suitable conditions for this type of lubricant can be predicted using the known Hamrock–Dowson equations.An anomaly in the thickness of the lubricants was observed as an abrupt change at certain conditions.The more PEG there is in the lubricant,the higher the thickness at the beginning of the jump.Tomáš POLÁČEK Petr ŠPERKA Ivan KŘUPKA 2024Friction2024,12,1:0

15Diversity of foliar endophytes in wind-fallen Picea abies trees显示文摘The unmanaged Norway spruce montane forests in the Bohemian Forest National Park(Czech Republic)suffered from repeated large-scale bark beetle outbreaks in last decade.In this study,the diversity of culturable foliar endophyte microfungi in needles originating from eleven recently wind-fallen trees in this area was surveyed.Our aims were to describe their diversity and to determine the relative host and organ specificities of isolated endophyte species to estimate the species pool and abundance of foliar endophytes before the forest degradation.Microfungi were isolated from surface-sterilized needles,and the outgrowing strains were identified based on morphological and molecular characteristics(analyses of ITS1,ITS2 and partial 28S rDNA).Fungal communities in the needles were diverse,with ascomycetes(mostly anamorphs of Helotiales)dominating basidiomycetes.The most frequent species(Phacidiopycnis sp.,Cistella acuum,Sirococcus sp.and two species of Chalara)did not correspond with those recorded in previous studies of Picea spp.For example,the widely distributed Lophodermium piceae was rarely recorded in this study.This pattern may be caused by different methods of sterilization and cultivation or by physiological characteristics of the needles,or it may reflect the species distribution in the studied area.Members of the Helotiales,along with sequences from GenBank,showed substantial overlap in host affinities,most prominently between Pinus and Picea,and also among species from distant plant lineages.Ondřej Koukol Miroslav Kolařík Zuzana Kolářová Petr Baldrian 2012Fungal Diversity2012,,3:1
16Selected issues of cartographic communication optimization for emergency centers显示文摘Cartographic communication and support within emergency management(EM)are complicated issues with changing demands according to the incident extent and phase of the EM cycle.Keeping in mind the specifics of each purpose,it is obvious that spatial data used for maps preparation and production must be differently visualized even for the same type of emergency incident(traffic accident,fire,and natural disaster).Context-based cartography is a promising methodology to deal with the changing demands of an operational EM center.An overview of cartographic communication is presented within the context of an operational EM center,activities of particular actors,and map use supporting the incident elimination.The authors of the paper respond to a series of questions,for example:what is the current cartographic support of operational EM in the Czech Republic in Digital Earth conditions?What possibilities are there to improve the cartographic communication?How can contextual cartographic services be implemented in a Web environment and how can the usability of results be tested?The paper gives several examples of the usage of cartographic technologies in map creation for various emergency situations.Karel Staněk Lucie Friedmannová Petr Kubıcek Milan Konecný 2010International Journal of Digital Earth2010,3,4:1
