| 1 | Association of adiponectin gene polymorphisms with knee osteoarthritis显示文摘AIM To investigate the possible relationship of adiponectin(ADIPOQ) gene polymorphisms, plasma adiponectin, and the risk of knee osteoarthritis(OA).METHODS A total of 398 subjects, 202 knee OA patients and 196 healthy individuals, were enrolled in the case-control study. Genotyping at +45T/G(rs2241766) and +276G/T(rs1501299) loci was performed using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism. Plasma adiponectin levels were assessed using enzymelinked immunosorbent assay. OA severity was determined using the Kellgren-Lawrence(KL) grading system.RESULTS No significant associations were observed in the genotype distributions and allele frequencies at two loci of +45T/G and +276G/T polymorphisms in the ADIPOQ betweenknee OA patients and control subjects. There was a significant association between genotype distribution of +276G/T polymorphism and KL grade 2, 3 or 4(P = 0.037, P = 0.046, P = 0.016, respectively). At +45T/G locus, the percentage of GG genotype was notably greater in control subjects(13.40%) compared with OA subjects(1.70%)(P = 0.023). Plasma adiponectin was markedly decreased in OA subjects compared with control subjects(P = 0.03). | 2 | Nitrogen removal efficiencies and microbial communities in full-scale IFAS and MBBR municipal wastewater treatment plants at high COD:N ratio显示文摘The relative locations of AOB,NOB,and DNB were examined for three different kinds of carriers in two types of hybrid bioflm process configurations:integrated fixed-film activated sludge(IFAS)and moving bed bioflm reactor(MBBR)processes.IFAS water resource recovery facilities(WRRFs)used Anodkainess^TM K1 carriers(KC)at Broomfield,Colorado,USA and polypropylene resin crriers(R)at Fukuok,Japa,whic MBBR WRFS used KC crier at South Adams Couty,Colorado,USA and sponge carriers(SC)at Saga,Japan.Influent COD to N ratios ranged from 8:1 to 15:1.The COD and BOD removal efficiencies were high(96%-98%);NH^+4-N and TN removal efficiencies were more varied at 72%98%and 64%-77%,respectively.The extent of TN removal was higher at high SRT,high COD:N ratio and low DO concentration in the anoxic tank.In IFAS,RC with high specific surface area.(SSA)maintained higher AOB population than KC.Sponge carriers with high SSA maintained higher overall bacteria population than KC in MBBR systems.However,the DNB were not more abundant in high SSA crriers.The diversity of AOB,NOB,and DNB was fairly similar in different carriers.Nitrosomonas sp.dominated over Nitrosospira sp.while denitrifying bacteria included Rhodobacter sp.,Sulfuritalea sp.,.Rubrivivax sp:Paracoccus sp..and Pseudomonas sp.The results from this work suggest that high SRT,high.COD:N ratio,low DO concentration in anoxic tanks,and carriers with greater surface area may be recommended for high COD,BOD and TN removal in WRRFs with IFAS and MBBR systerms. | Supaporn Phanwilai Naluporn Kangwannarakul Pongsak(Lek)Noophan Tamao Kasahara Akihiko Terada Junko Munakata-Marr Linda Ann Figueroa | 2020 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2020，14，6： | 2 |

| 20 | Pulsation and Long-Term Variability of the High-Amplitude δ Scuti Star AD Canis Minoris显示文摘Time-series photometry was made for the large-amplitude δ Scuti star AD CMi in 2005 and 2006. High-quality photometric data provided in the literature were used to analyze the pulsation of the star, with the derived multiple frequencies fitted to our new data. Besides the dominant frequency and its harmonics, one low frequency (2.27402 c d -1) is discovered, which provides a reasonable interpretation for the long-noticed luminosity variation at the maximum and minimum light. Combining the nine new times of light maxima determined from the new data with the 64 times collected from the literature, we analyzed the long-term variability of AD CMi with the O - C technique.
