Chemical characteristics and source apportionment of PM_(2.5) in a petrochemical city: Implications for primary and secondary carbonaceous component显示文摘To study the pollution features and underlying mechanism of PM_(2.5) in Luoyang, a typical developing urban site in the central plain of China, 303 PM_(2.5) samples were collected from April 16 to December 29, 2015 to analyze the elements, water soluble inorganic ions, organic carbon and elemental carbon. The annual mean concentration of PM_(2.5) was 142.3 μg/m^(3), and 75% of the daily PM_(2.5) concentrations exceeded the 75 μg/m^(3). The secondary inorganic ions, organic matter and mineral dust were the most abundant species, accounting for 39.6%, 19.2% and 9.3% of the total mass concentration, respectively. But the major chemical components showed clear seasonal dependence. SO_(4)^(2-) was most abundant specie in spring and summer, which related to intensive photochemical reaction under high O_3 concentration. In contrast, the secondary organic carbon and ammonium while primary organic carbon and ammonium significantly contributed to haze formation in autumn and winter, respectively. This indicated that the collaboration effect of secondary inorganic aerosols and carbonaceous matters result in heavy haze in autumn and winter. Six main sources were identified by positive matrix factorization model: industrial emission, combustion sources, traffic emission, mineral dust, oil combustion and secondary sulfate, with the annual contribution of 24%, 20%, 24%, 4%, 5% and 23%, respectively. The potential source contribution function analysis pointed that the contribution of the local and short-range regional transportation had significant impact. This result highlighted that local primary carbonaceous and precursor of secondary carbonaceous mitigation would be key to reduce PM_(2.5) and O_3 during heavy haze episodes in winter and autumn. | Guangxuan Yan Puzhen Zhang Jie Yang Jingwen Zhang Guifen Zhu Zhiguo Cao Jing Fan Zirui Liu Yuesi Wang | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,5: | 6
Research progress in interface modification and thermal conduction behavior of diamond/metal composites显示文摘Diamond/metal composites are widely used in aerospace and electronic packaging fields due to their outstanding high thermal conductivity and low expansion. However, the difference in chemical properties leads to interface incompatibility between diamond and metal, which has a considerable impact on the performance of the composites. To improve the interface compatibility between diamond and metal,it is necessary to modify the interface of composites. This paper reviews the experimental research on interface modification and the application of computational simulation in diamond/metal composites.Combining computational simulation with experimental methods is a promising way to promote diamond/metal composite interface modification research. | Ping Zhu Pingping Wang Puzhen Shao Xiu Lin Ziyang Xiu Qiang Zhang Equo Kobayashi Gaohui Wu | 2022 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,2: | 2
Single-phase Computational Fluid Dynamics Applicability for the Study of Three-dimensional Flow in 5×5 Rod Bundles with Spacer Grids显示文摘Spacer grids play an important role in pressurized water reactor(PWR) fuel assembly in that they have significant influence on the thermal-hydraulic characteristics of the reactor core. But so far,the numerical studies are performed without regarding dimple and spring of spacer grids, just considering mixing vane. Moreover, these studies use k-ε turbulence model without considering the suitability of the other turbulence models upon the different spacer grids flow.A study is carried out to understand the 3-D single-phase flow in AFA-2G 5×5 rod bundles with spacer grids based on numerical method. In order to investigate the suitability of different turbulence models,k-ε model and k-ω model, the influence of different parts of spacer grid on the fluid flow is also predicted.By using second-order upwind scheme, hybrid grids technique, and improved SIMPLEC algorithm, the Reynolds averaged mass conservation and momentum conservation equations are solved, and the pressure and velocity field of flow are obtained. The numerical simulation results are compared with experiment results and the agreement is satisfactory. The simulation results show the influences of the spring, dimple and mixing vane, and the different characteristics of the k-ε model and k-ω model.Comparing with the experiment results, the simulation results suggest that the k-ω model is suitable for the simulation of the rod bundle flow with spacer grids;the spring and dimple are the main causes of the pressure loss in the spacer grid channel. The friction coefficient of the channel with spring and dimple is 1.5 times the coefficient of the channel with the vane. These results are beneficial to enhance the simulation ability of spacer grids flow and optimization design ability of spaces grid. | TIAN Ruifeng MAO Xiaohui GAO Puzhen HUANG Yanping | 2012 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,4: | 1

Supramolecular self-assembly of nickel(Ⅱ)-substituted a-Keggin-type polyoxometalate and polyaniline coated Fe_(2)O_(3)hollow nanospindle for microwave absorption application显示文摘A general strategy has been developed here to supramolecular self-assembly of nickel(Ⅱ)-substitutedα-Keggintype polyoxometalate and polyaniline coated Fe_(2)O_(3)hollow nanospindle(Fe_(2)O_(3)hollow nanospindle@PANI/α-SiW11Ni composites)via electrostatic attraction and hydrothermal method.Fe^(3+)was first hydrolyzed and polymerized into Fe_(2)O_(3),then dissolved into[Fe(H_(2)PO_(4))_(x)]^(3-x),resulting in hollow structure. The polyoxometalate existed in polyaniline as a proton-doped counter-ion form, rather than as a separate crystalline state. The protons and anions entered the PANI main chain and combined with N atoms of amines and imines on the PANI chain((-NH^(·+)=)/α-[SiW_(11)Ni(H_(2)O)O_(39)]^(6-))to form poles and bipolar delocalization intoπbonds of the whole polyaniline molecular chain, which leaded to conductance and polarization. The Fe_(2)O_(3)hollow nanospindle@PANI/α-SiW11Ni composites were proven to be excellent microwave absorber in terms of reflection loss(RL)and bandwidth. The maximum RL value was up to-53.6 dB at 3.5 mm and 6.9 GHz.The broadest absorption bandwidth exceeding-10 dB was 6.3 GHz at a thickness of only 1.9 mm.Moreover, the ternary composites presented obvious multi-band absorption with the matching thickness range of 1.5-5 mm.The absorption peaks bandwidth reached as wide as 14.3 GHz,which included all C-Ku bands. The hollow and core-shell structures could provide non-uniform interface for the induced polarization loss and space for the reflecting and scattering of microwave. The carrier,pair-ion carrier and hydrogen bond network could lead to conduction loss. The magnetic losses were caused by eddy current effect and natural resonance. This work can lay a theoretical foundation for the design and performance regulation of new absorbing materials. | Na Zhang Puzhen Chen Weixing Chen Hongli Zhang Yan Wang | 2021 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2021,31,3: | 1

Effects of anisodamine on altered [Ca^(2+)]i and cerebral cortex ultrastructure following acute cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury in rabbits显示文摘BACKGROUND: Calcium ion (Ca2+) overload plays an important role in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury. Anisodamine, a type of alkaloid, can protect the myocardium from ischemia and reperfusion injury by inhibiting intracellular calcium [Ca2+]i overload. OBJECTIVE: To investigate effects of anisodamine on [Ca2+]i concentration and cortex ultrastructure fol- lowing acute cerebral ischemia/reperfusion in rabbits. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: Randomized and controlled trial was performed at the Department of Emergency, Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology from September to December 2006. MATERIALS: Forty healthy rabbits were used to establish models of acute cerebral ischemia/reperfusion. Anisodamine was provided by Lianyungang Dongfeng Pharmaceutical Factory; Fura-2 was purchased from Nanjing Jiancheng Bioengineering Institute; dual-wave length fluorescent spectrophotometry system and DM-300 software were provided by Bio-Rad, USA; OPTON-EM10C transmission electron microscope was product of Siemens, Germany. METHODS: Forty rabbits were randomly divided into the following groups: sham operation, ischemia, ischemia/reperfusion, and anisodamine, with ten rabbits in each group. Models of complete cerebral ischemia injury were established. In addition, blood was collected from the femoral artery of rats in the ischemia/reperfusion and anisodamine groups to induce hypotension and establish reperfusion injury models. The bilateral common carotid artery clamp was removed from the anisodamine group 20 minutes after ischemia, and anisodamine (10 mg/kg body mass) was injected via the femoral vein. Rabbits in the sham operation group underwent only venous cannulation. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: [Ca2+]i concentration was determined using a dual-wave length fluorescent spectrophotometry system, and cortical ultrastructure was observed following uranyl-lead citrate staining. RESULTS: The levels of [Ca2+]i in the ischemia and ischemia/reperfusion groups were significantly in- creased, compared with the sham operation group (P < 0.01), and the levels of [Ca2+]i in the anisodamine group were remarkably less than the ischemia and ischemia/reperfusion groups (P < 0.01). Ultrastructural damage to the cortex was greatly aggravated with increasing levels of [Ca2+]i. In the ischemia group, cortical neuronal membranes were fragmentally damaged, including the mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum, as well as neurite swelling, and slight chromatin margination. In the ischemia/reperfusion group, the cellular membrane was ruptured with aggravated mitochondrial swelling, increased chromatin margination, obscure neurite structure, and the disappearance of endoplasmic reticulum. However, in the anisodamine group, cel- lular damage was obviously alleviated. The appearance and structure of cortical neurons was relatively normal, with intact cells. There was slight swelling of the mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum, as well as mild chromatin margination. CONCLUSION: Cerebral tissue injury was related to increased [Ca2+]i levels following ischemia/ reperfusion. Anisodamine exhibited a protective role on acute cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury by inhibiting the increase in [Ca2+]i levels. | Daixing Zhou Chengye Zhan Puzhen Deng | 2008 | Neural Regeneration Research2008,3,10: | 1
