4Description of a New Species of Amolops (Anura:Ranidae) from Tibet,China显示文摘A new species,Amolops pallasitatus sp.nov.is described based on specimens collected from Chentang Town,Dinggyê County, southern Tibet,China. The new species can be distinguished from other known congeners by mitochondrial divergence and morphological characteristics including:(1)medium body size,SVL 70.6–72.3 mm in adult females;(2)skin smooth over the entire body;(3)absence of dorsolateral fold;(4)tympanum small, edge indistinct, less than half of eye diameter;(5)vomerine teeth in two short oblique;(6)circummarginal and transverse grooves absent on disk of the first finger;(7)presence of inner metacarpal tubercle;(8)toes fully webbed, webbing formula Ⅰ0-0^-Ⅱ0-1/2Ⅲ0-1^+Ⅳ1^+-0Ⅴ;(9)absence of outer metatarsal tubercle and tarsal glands;(10)tibiotarsal articulation of the hind limb reaches posterior corners of the eye;(11)dorsum yellow-green,with irregular dark brown blotches without margins;(12)blotches concentrated on the dorsum, less on the flanks. In morphology,Amolops pallasitatus sp.nov.is similar to A.himalayanus and A.formosus, the difference between them is length of hind limbs, web of toe and dorsal colour pattern. The systematic placement of the new species within the genus is unresolved and it is not assigned to any recognized species group, for the lack of convictive evidences.Shuo QI Zhengyan ZHOU Zhitong LYU Yuyan LU Han WAN Mian HOU Keji GUO Pipeng LI 2019Asian Herpetological Research2019,10,4:1
5Ultrasoft,sensitive fiber-like sensor by assembly of bacterial cellulose(BC)nanofibrils and BC molecules for biocompatible strain sensing显示文摘The development of implantable bioelectronics is driven by emerging applications including continuous health monitoring and human-machine interfacing. The mechanical mismatch between implanted bioelectronics and tissues not only compromises device accuracy, but also causes interference with tissues undesirably. To address this issue,it is necessary to develop ultrasoft and biocompatible fiber strain sensor with proper stretchability and sensitivity. Here,we fabricate a bacterial cellulose-based sensing fiber which possesses the stretchability and elastic modulus(~102 kPa)close to those of soft tissues. In addition, such fiber has high sensitivity to tiny tensile force/strain(8.8×10^(−3)N/2.5%)and low cell cytotoxicity. These excellent properties make the bacterial cellulose(BC)-based sensing fiber an excellent candidate of implantable bioelectric devices for monitoring subtle motions of organs. We demonstrate this by applying it for continuous monitoring of human pulse and bullfrog heartbeats.The(BC/oxBC)@PANI(ox=oxidized and PANI=polyaniline)fibers can further be woven into an array sensor and serve more complex sensing functions, such as multipoint force perception and shape recognition as demonstrated.Si Meng Yuyan Zhang Nihuan Wu Cheng Peng ZhiYao Huang Zhengjie Lin Cheng Qi Zhou Liu Tiantian Kong 2023Nano Research2023,16,3:0
6BioTreasury:a community-based repository enabling indexing and rating of bioinformatics tools显示文摘The exponential growth of bioinformatics tools in recent years has posed challenges for scientists in selecting the most suitable one for their data analysis assignments. Therefore,to aid scientists in making informed choices,a community-based platform that indexes and rates bioinformatics tools is urgently needed. In this study,we introduce Bio Treasury(http://gffzz793fa12de37c4e97h6vf0okfkvckb6pqw.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn),an integrated communitybased repository that provides an interactive platform for users and developers to share their experiences in various bioinformatics tools.Bio Treasury offers a comprehensive collection of well-indexed bioinformatics software, tools, and databases, totaling over 10,000 entries. In the past two years,we have continuously improved and maintained Bio Treasury, adding several exciting features, including creating structured homepages for every tool and user,a hierarchical category of bioinformatics tools and classifying tools using large language model(LLM).Bio Treasury streamlines the tool submission process with intelligent auto-completion.Additionally,Bio Treasury provides a wide range of social features, for example, enabling users to participate in interactive discussions, rate tools, build and share tool collections for the public. We believe Bio Treasury can be a valuable resource and knowledge-sharing platform for the biomedical community. It empowers researchers to effectively discover and evaluate bioinformatics tools, fostering collaboration and advancing bioinformatics research.Qi Zhao Xin Zhou Jingxing Wu Jieyi Cai Xiaoqiong Bao Lin Tang Chaoye Wang Chunlei Liu Yukai Wang Yuyan Teng Mohan Zheng Weiping Mu Zhixiang Zuo Yubin Xie Xiaotong Luo Jian Ren 2024Science China(Life Sciences)2024,67,2:0
