| 1 | ExExperimental and numerical studies on the prediction of bendability limit of QSTE340 welded tube in NC bending process显示文摘For a low carbon steel tube with small wall factor D/t and bending radius R,the over-thinning induced localized necking is one dominant failure in tube numerical control(NC) bending process,which strongly restricts the bendability limit of the tube.In addition,the deterioration of bendability of a tube is increased by the existence of the weak weld region.Therefore,an important issue is how to determinate and predict the welded tube bendability limit.In the present study,a finite element(FE) model with weld and subdivided heat affected zones under ABAQUS platform is employed to explore the deformation behaviors of welded tube NC bending.A localized necking criterion based on the critical thickness thinning is used to predict the critical principal strains,critical bending radius and burst location during the forming process.It is found that the failures always occur at the rigid supporting point of mandrel flexible balls near the tangent point at the outside of the bend,where the wall thickness of the tube is the lowest.The bending limit curves(BLCs) of the QSTE340 welded tube are obtained by shifting the standard shaped forming limit curve to the critical principal strains along the major strain axis.Comparison between the numerical and experimental results has shown that the BLC and critical bending radius predictions agree well with the experimental results.In addition,the effect of weld positions on BLC is discussed,the weld region shows an almost negligible effect on the forming limit at a non-critical location that is far away from the outside of the bend.However,when the weld is at the large tensile deformation region on the outside of the bend,a decrease of the forming limit strains is seen. | YANG He REN Ning ZHAN Mei ZHANG ZhiYong QIN YaTao JIANG HaoMin DIAO KeShan CHEN XinPing | 2012 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,8: | 2 |

| 5 | Coordination geometry of Zn^(2+) on hexagonal turbostratic birnessites with different Mn average oxidation states and its stability under acid dissolution显示文摘Hexagonal turbostratic birnessite,with the characteristics of high contents of vacancies,varying amounts of structural and adsorbed Mn^(3+),and small particle size,undergoes strong adsorption reactions with trace metal(TM)contaminants.While the interactions of TM,i.e.,Zn^(2+),with birnessite are well understood,the effect of birnessite structural characteristics on the coordination and stability of Zn^(2+)on the mineral surfaces under proton attack is as yet unclear.In the present study,the effects of a series of synthesized hexagonal turbostratic birnessites with different Mn average oxide states(AOSs)on the coordination geometry of adsorbed Zn^(2+)and its stability under acidic conditions were investigated.With decreasing Mn AOS,birnessite exhibits smaller particle sizes and thus larger specific surface area,higher amounts of layer Mn^(3+)and thus longer distances for the first Mn\O and Mn\Mn shells,but a low quantity of available vacancies and thus low adsorption capacity for Zn^(2+).Zn K-edge EXAFS spectroscopy demonstrates that birnessite with low Mn AOS has smaller adsorption capacity but more tetrahedral Zn(^(IV)Zn)complexes on vacancies than octahedral(^(VI)Zn)complexes,and Zn^(2+)is more unstable under acidic conditions than that adsorbed on birnessite with high Mn AOS.High Zn^(2+)loading favors the formation of^(VI)Zn complexes over^(IV)Zn complexes,and the release of Zn^(2+)is faster than at low loading.These results will deepen our understanding of the interaction mechanisms of various TMs with natural birnessites,and the stability and thus the potential toxicity of heavy metal pollutants sequestered by engineered nano-sized metal oxide materials. | Hui Yin Xinping Wang Zhangjie Qin Matthew Ginder-Vogel Shuang Zhang Shuqi Jiang Fan Liu Shiwei Li Jing Zhang Yan Wang | 2018 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,3: | 1 |
| 6 | Chinese registry of rheumatoid arthritis(CREDIT)V:sex impacts rheumatoid arthritis in Chinese patients显示文摘Background: The impact of sex on the clinical manifestations of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) were diversely reported in the literature. The Chinese Registry of rhEumatoiD arthrITis provides a platform for the investigation of this issue in Chinese patients.Methods: Demographic and clinical parameters were collected from all enrolled patients with RA and from patients with early RA (disease duration ≤6 months). The differences in data regarding disease activity, comorbidities, and medications for RA were compared between men and women. The proportions of patients who achieved remission and low disease activity were compared at enrollment and during 3-, 6-, and 12-month follow-up visits.Results: A total of 11,564 patients were enrolled, 83.6% of whom were female. In all the enrolled patients and patients with early RA, C-reactive protein (CRP, 12.0vs. 6.7 mg/L), pain visual analogue scale (4.8vs. 4.5), patient’s and physician’s global assessment (4.9vs. 4.5 and 4.9vs. 4.5), 28-joint disease activity score using DAS28-CRP (4.3vs. 4.0) simplified disease activity index (21.9vs. 19.9), and clinical disease activity index (19.3vs. 18.0) were significantly higher in men than in women. Additionally, the swollen joint count/tender joint count and DAS28 using erythrocyte sedimentation rate were higher in male patients than in female patients with early RA. More female patients with early RA reached the treatment target at baseline than male patients (23.4%vs. 18.2%, assessed by CDAI). At 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months, the proportion of remission and treatment target achievement was similar in both sexes. Coronary artery disease (CAD) and stroke were more frequent in men than in women.Conclusions: In Chinese patients with RA, men were found to have more active disease, as well as more cases of CAD and stroke. | 7 | Single-cell RNA landscape of the special fiber initiation process in Bombax ceiba显示文摘As a new source of natural fibers,the Bombax ceiba tree can provide thin,light,extremely soft and warm fiber material for the textile industry.Natural fibers are an ideal model system for studying cell growth and differentiation,but the molecular mechanisms that regulate fiber initiation are not fully understood.In B.ceiba,we found that fiber cells differentiate from the epidermis of the inner ovary wall.Each initiated cell then divides into a cluster of fiber cells that eventually develop into mature fibers,a process very different from the classical fiber initiation process of cotton.We used high-throughput single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq)to examine the special characteristics of fiber initiation in B.ceiba.A total of 15567 high-quality cells were identified from the inner wall of the B.ceiba ovary,and 347 potential marker genes for fiber initiation cell types were identified.Two major cell types,initiated fiber cells and epidermal cells,were identified and verified by RNA in situ hybridization.A developmental trajectory analysis was used to reconstruct the process of fiber cell differentiation in B.ceiba.Comparative analysis of scRNAseq data from B.ceiba and cotton(Gossypium hirsutum)confirmed that the additional cell division process in B.ceiba is a novel species-specific mechanismfor fiber cell development.Candidate genes and key regulators that may contribute to fiber cell differentiation and division in B.ceiba were identified.This work reveals gene expression signatures during B.ceiba fiber initiation at a single-cell resolution,providing a new strategy and viewpoint for investigation of natural fiber cell differentiation and development. | Yuanhao Ding Wei Gao Yuan Qin Xinping Li Zhennan Zhang Wenjie Lai Yong Yang Kai Guo Ping Li Shihan Zhou Haiyan Hu | 2023 | Plant Communications2023,4,5: | 0 |
