1Hydroelastic interaction between water waves and thin elastic plate floating on three-layer fluid显示文摘The wave-induced hydroelastic responses of a thin elastic plate floating on a three-layer fluid, under the assumption of linear potential flow, are investigated for two-dimensional cases. The effect of the lateral stretching or compressive stress is taken into account for plates of either semi-infinite or finite length. An explicit expression for the dispersion relation of the flexural-gravity wave in a three-layer fluid is analytically deduced. The equations for the velocity potential and the wave elevations are solved with the method of matched eigenfunction expansions. To simplify the calculation on the unknown expansion coefficients, a new inner product with orthogonality is proposed for the three-layer fluid, in which the vertical eigenfunctions in the open-water region are involved. The accuracy of the numerical results is checked with an energy conservation equation, representing the energy flux relation among three incident wave modes and the elastic plate. 6Antioxidant procyanidin B2 protects oocytes against cryoinjuries via mitochondria regulated cortical tension显示文摘Background:Irreversible cryodamage caused by oocyte vitrification limited its wild application in female fertility preservation.Antioxidants were always used to antagonist the oxidative stress caused by vitrification.However,the comprehensive mechanism underlying the protective role of antioxidants has not been studied.Procyanidin B2(PCB2)is a potent natural antioxidant and its functions in response to vitrification are still unknown.In this study,the effects of PCB2 on vitrified-thawed oocytes and subsequent embryo development were explored,and the mechanisms underlying the protective role of PCB2 were systematically elucidated.Results:Vitrification induced a marked decline in oocyte quality,while PCB2 could improve oocyte viability and further development after parthenogenetic activation.A subsequent study indicated that PCB2 effectively attenuated vitrification-induced oxidative stress,rescued mitochondrial dysfunction,and improved cell viability.Moreover,PCB2 also acts as a cortical tension regulator apart from strong antioxidant properties.Increased cortical tension caused by PCB2 would maintain normal spindle morphology and promote migration,ensure correct meiosis progression and finally reduce the aneuploidy rate in vitrified oocytes.Further study reveals that ATP biosynthesis plays a crucial role in cortical tension regulation,and PCB2 effectively increased the cortical tension through the electron transfer chain pathway.Additionally,PCB2 would elevate the cortical tension in embryo cells at morula and blastocyst stages and further improve blastocyst quality.What's more,targeted metabolomics shows that PCB2 has a beneficial effect on blastocyst formation by mediating saccharides and amino acids metabolism.Conclusions:Antioxidant PCB2 exhibits multi-protective roles in response to vitrification stimuli through mitochondria-mediated cortical tension regulation.Qingrui Zhuan Jun Li Xingzhu Du Luyao Zhang Lin Meng Yuwen Luo Dan Zhou Hongyu Liu Pengcheng Wan Yunpeng Hou Xiangwei Fu 2023Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,1:0

8Adaptive admittance tracking control for interactive robot with prescribed performance显示文摘An adaptive control approach is presented in this paper for tracking desired trajectories in interactive manipulators. The controller design incorporates prescribed performance functions (PPFs) to improve dynamic performance. Notably, the performance of the output error is confined in an envelope characterized by exponential convergence, leading to convergence to zero. This feature ensures a prompt response from admittance control and establishes a reliable safety framework for interactions. 10Theoretical study on the confine-stiffening effect and fractal cracking of square concrete filled steel tubes in tension loads显示文摘Tension stress in steel-concrete composite is widely observed in engineering design.Based on an experimental program on tension performance of three square concrete-filled tubes(SCFT),the tension theory of SCFT is proposed using a mechanics-based approach.The tension stiffening effect,the confining strengthening effect and the confining stiffening effect,observed in tests of SCFTs are included in the developed tension theory model.Subsequently,simplified constitutive models of steel and concrete are proposed for the axial tension performance of SCFT.Based on the MSC.MARC software,a special fiber beam-column element is proposed to include the confining effect of SCFTs under tension and verified.The proposed analytical theory,effective formulas,and equivalent constitutive laws are extensively verified against three available tests reported in the literature on both global level(e.g.,load-displacement curves)and strain level.The experimental verification proves the accuracy of the proposed theory and formulations in simulating the performance of SCFT members under tension with the capability to accurately predict the tensile strength and stiffness enhancements and realistically simulate the fractal cracking phenomenon.Meng ZHOU Jiaji WANG Jianguo NIE Qingrui YUE 2021Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2021,15,6:0
