1Effect of ultrasonic irradiation on rheological properties of asphaltenic crude oils显示文摘In this work, the rheological changes of several crude oil samples exposed to ultrasonic waves for different time intervals in addition to the effect of temperature on viscosity behavior of heavy crude oils were investigated using a series of steady shear flow and oscillatory tests. The colloidal structural evolutions of flocs in oil samples were illustrated by analysis of the size distribution of flocculated asphaltene particles (confocal microscopy tests). The rheological investigations indicate that the ultrasonic irradiation dissolved heavy components in crude oil. After ultrasonic treatment, the Kouh-e-Mond crude oil was found to be pseudoplastic. In addition, confocal microscopy confirms that there was an optimum duration for ultrasonic irradiation, at which the viscosity and flocculation rate of asphaltenic crude oils reduced to the minimum values. The optimum was found to be approximately 40 min for the Kouh-e-Mond crude oil. Experimental results illustrate that the ultrasonic irradiation could disaggregate heavy colloid components in crude oil, and breakdown of asphaltene molecules would only occur in a specific time interval of irradiation. Also according to the temperature sweep test, the oil temperature rise caused by ultrasonic irradiation was not the main reason for rheological changes of the crude oil and this alteration may be due to physical and chemical phenomena induced by sonication in crude oil.MOUSAVI Seyed Mohammadreza RAMAZANI Ahmad NAJAFI Iman DAVACHI Seyed Mohammad 2012Petroleum Science2012,9,1:10

10Synthesis and Structural Characterization of Organophosphorus Ylide-1-(3-nitrophenyl)-2-(triphenyl phosphoranylidene)ethanone显示文摘The title compound Ph3P=C(H)C(O)PhNO2(L) has been prepared by the addition of triphenylphosphine in acetone as solvent to 2-bromo-1-(3-nitrophenyl)ethanone followed by the addition of alkaline solution of sodium hydroxide. The yellow crystals of the title ylide were grown in methanol/chloroform solution by drop method without stirring at room temperature. The solid state structure of ylide has been established by X-ray crystallography analysis. In the molecule of the title compound, the geometry around the P atom is nearly tetrahedral and the O atom is in synperiplanar orientation to the P atom. The nitrophenyl ring is twisted with respect to the plane of the carbonyl group through an angle of 36.6(1)°. 12SIMULATION OF VISCOELASTIC FLUID FLOWS IN EXPANSION GEOMETRY USING FINITE VOLUME APPROACH显示文摘The simulation results on viscoelastic fluid flows in sudden expansion geometry with different expansion ratios are presented.Oldroyd-B,linear Phan-Thien-Tanner(L-PTT)and Finitely Extensible Nonlinear Elastic(FENE-P)based constitutive equations were applied in two-dimensional Cartesian coordinates.The governing equations in transient and fully developed regions were solved using open source software called OpenFOAM.The flow patterns,including velocity profiles,shear stresses and first normal stress differences in some horizontal and vertical sections are illustrated.In addition,effects of the fluid type,flow dynamics and expansion ratio on the flow and vortex patterns in transient and fully developed regions are presented and discussed.The presented results show that existences of vortices cause the inverse velocity and negative stresses in expansion regions of the channel which increase with increment of expansion ratio and Weissenberg number(We).Furthermore,some dead spaces can be observed at channel expansion regions close to the wall which are also increased.The results also show that at low We numbers all fluids show close behavior while at high We numbers the FENE-P fluid behavior shows high divergence from that of the two other fluids.Morteza Azizi Ahmad Ramazani S.A Habib Etemadi M Ehsan Shirzaei S 2013Chinese Journal of Polymer Science2013,31,12:0
