1Crystallization and thermal fatigue of ZrTiCuNiBe bulk amorphous alloys heated by laser pulses显示文摘The crystallization and thermal fatigue behavior of Zr41Ti14Cu12.5Ni10Be22.5 bulk amorphous alloys heated by laser pulses was investigated. The results showed that crystallization occurred even below the crystallization temperature Tx in a low cycle time. Cracks appearred before or after crystallization of the heated area in the sample. The crystallization degree increased with the heating temperature and cycles. An increase in the fatigue cracks number was also observed. 2Corrosion behavior of bulk metallic glasses in different aqueous solutions显示文摘The corrosion behavior of as-cast fully amorphous, structural relaxed amorphous and crystallized Fe65.5Cr4Mo4Ga4P12C5B5.5 bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) in NaCl, HCl and NaOH solutions was investigated by electrochemical polarization and immersion methods. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurements was used to analyze the changes of the elements on the alloy surface before and after immersion in various solutions. The corrosion resistance of the Fe65.5Cr4Mo4Ga4P12C5B5.5 BMG was better than its structural relaxation/crystallization counterparts and common alloys (such as stainless steel, carbonized steel, and steel) in the selected aqueous solutions. 3The fluidity and molding ability of glass-forming Zr-based alloy melt显示文摘The fluidity and filling ability of glass-forming Zr-based alloy melt in copper mould were investigated both theoretically and experimentally. The major factors which affected the flowing behavior of the metallic melt in the mold were determined,which provides the foundation for overcoming the contradiction between the filling and formation of amorphous alloy during the rapid cooling process of the metallic melts. The casting factors to prepare a metallic ring were discussed and selected. 4Electrochemical corrosion and oxidation resistances of Zr_(60)Ni_(21)Al_(19) bulk amorphous alloys显示文摘Electrochemical corrosion and oxidation resistances of Zr 60 Ni 21 Al 19 amorphous alloy were studied. The ternary amorphous alloy exhibits greater positive potential than its crystalline counterpart and 0Cr19Ni9Ti stainless steel. Its weight loss result measured in 2 mol/L HCl solution is in agreement with the potentiodynamic curve. But there is no obvious difference in the oxidation resistances between Zr 60 Ni 21 Al 19 amorphous and its crystalline alloys. 5High pressure effect on structural transition of Fe cluster during rapid quenching processes显示文摘Molecular dynamics simulations of 21,952 atoms have been performed to study local structure evolution and glass formation in iron melts rapidly cooled under high pressures.In the quenching processes,structural transition details have been analyzed by using the radial distribution function g(r) and bond pair analysis technique.It is shown that high pressure strengthens the order degree of the glass system and favors the glass formation.That means with the increase of pressures,a more compacted local structure with more ideal icosahedra can be obtained.The calculations of free volume of the system indicate that the decrease of the number of the defected ideal icosahedra under high pressure contributes to the glass formation of Fe.QI Li,LI MaiMai,MA MingZhen,JING Qin,LI Gong & LIU RiPing State Key Laboratory of Metastable Materials Science & Technology,Yanshan University,Qinhuangdao 066004,China 2010Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2010,53,11:4
6TMN4 complex embedded graphene as bifunctional electrocatalysts for high efficiency OER/ORR显示文摘Developing highly active bifunctional electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)is of great significance in energy conversion and storage technologies.In this study,we systematically investigated the OER/ORR electrocatalytic activity of TMN_(4)@G system by using density functional theory(DFT)calculations.Globally,IrN_(4)@G is a very promising bifunctional catalyst for both OER and ORR with the extremely low overpotentials of 0.30 and 0.26 V,respectively.Such outstanding electrocatalytic performance is mainly attributed to the synergistic effect of Ir and N.More importantly,by constructing 2D activity volcano plots,we obtained the limiting overpotentials of TMN_(4)@G system with the values of 0.26 V for OER and 0.24 V for ORR.These findings open up new opportunities for further exploring graphene-based materials for highly efficient OER/ORR electrocatalysts.Zhe Xue Xinyu Zhang Jiaqian Qin Riping Liu 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,4:3
7In situ X-ray diffraction study of structural evaluation in Fe_(73)Cu_(1.5)Nd_3Si_(13.5)B_9 amorphous alloy at high temperature显示文摘The thermodynamics structural relaxation of Fe73Cu1.5Nd3Si13.5B9 amorphous alloy from room temperature to 400℃ has been investigated by measuring the structure factor with in situ X-ray diffraction. The structural information of the atomic con-figuration such as radial distribution function (RDF) and neighbor atomic distance was gained by Fourier transformation. The research result shows that the amor-phous structure remains stable in the temperature range of 30 to 400℃ but exhibits distinct changes in local atomic configuration with the increase of temperature. 9Temperature rise and flow of Zr-based bulk metallic glasses under high shearing stress显示文摘Deformation of the bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) and the creation and propagation of the shear bands are closely interconnected.Shearing force was loaded on Zr 41.2 Ti 13.8 Cu 12.5 Ni 10.0 Be 22.5 (Vit.1) BMGs by cutting during the turning of the BMG rod.The temperature rise of alloy on the shear bands was calculated and the result showed that it could reach the temperature of the super-cooled liquid zone or exceed the melting point.The temperature rise caused viscous fluid flow and brought about the deformation of BMGs.This suggested that the deformation of BMGs was derived,at least to some extent,from the adiabatic shear temperature rise.ZHANG WeiGuo MA MingZhen SONG AiJun LIANG ShunXing HAO QiuHong TAN ChunLin JING Qin LIU RiPing 2011Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011,54,11:2
10NiCo-LDH/Ti3C2 MXene hybrid materials for lithium ion battery with high-rate capability and long cycle life显示文摘Nickel/cobalt-layered double hydroxides(Ni Co-LDH) have been attracted increasing interest in the applications of anode materials for lithium ion battery(LIB), but the low cycle stability and rate performance are still limited its practice applications. To achieve high performance LIB, the surface-confined strategy has been applied to design and fabricate a new anode material of NiCo-LDH nanosheet anchored on the surface of Ti3C2 MXene(Ni Co-LDH/Ti3C2). The ultra-thin, bended and wrinkled α-phase crystal with an interlayer spacing of 8.1 ? can arrange on the conductive substrates Ti3C2 MXene directly, resulting in high electrolyte diffusion ability and low internal resistance. Furthermore, chemical bond interactions between the highly conductive Ti3C2 MXene and Ni Co-LDH nanosheets can greatly increase the ion and electron transport and reduce the volume expansion of NiCo-LDH during Li ion intercalation. As expected,the discharge capacity of 562 m Ah g-1 at 5.0 A g-1 for 800 cycles without degradation can be achieved,rate capability and cycle performance are better than that of NiCo-LDH(~100 mAh g-1). 11Enhancing strength and plasticity by pre-introduced indent-notches in Zr36Cu64 metallic glass:A molecular dynamics simulation study显示文摘The deformation behavior in Zr36 Cu64 metallic glasses with pre-introduced indent-notches has been studied by molecular dynamics simulation at the atomic scale.The indent-notches can trigger the formation of densely-packed clusters composed of solid-like atoms in the indent-notch affected zone.These denselypacked clusters are highly resistant to the nucleation of shear bands.Hence,there is more tendency for the shear bands to nucleate outside the indent-notch affected zone,which enlarges the deformation region and enhances both the strengthening effect and the plastic deformation ability.For indent-notched MGs,when determining the initial yielding level,there is a competition process occurring between the densely-packed clusters leading to the shear band formation outside the indent-notch affected zone and the stress-concentration localizing deformation around the notch roots.When the indent-notch depth is small,the stress-concentration around the notch root plays a dominant role,leading to the shear bands initiating from the notch root,reminiscence of the cut-notches.As the indent-notch depth increases,there are many densely-packed clusters with high resistance to deformation in the indent-notch affected zone,leading to the shear band formation from the interface between the indent-notch affected zone and the matrix.Current research findings provide a feasible means for improving the strength and the plasticity of metallic glasses at room temperature.Shidong Feng Lin Li K.C.Chan Lei Zhao Limin Wang Riping Liu 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,36,8:2

16In-situ TiC_P/Al Composites Prepared by TE/QP Method显示文摘An in-situ TiCP/Al composite was prepared by a thermal explosion/quick pressure method (TE/QP). The effect of Al content on the reaction temperature as well as the reaction rate has been studied. Phase constituents and the microstructure of the composites and the particle size of the reinforcement were analysed using X-ray diffraction (XRD)and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results have shown that TiCP/Al composite with 40~70 vol. pct TiC particle reinforcement and high relative density can be directly obtained by TE/QP. TiC is the only reaction product when Al content in Al-Ti-C system is no more than 60 vol. pct, but Al3Ti phase will also form when Al content is more than 60 vol. pct. Increasing Al content prolongs the initial reaction time, reduces the highest reaction temperature and the reaction rate, and decreases the size of TiC particles. In addition, the microstructure of TiCP/Al composite and the structure of interface between TiCP and Al are studied using SEM and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results show that the in-situ synthesized TiC particle has fcc cubic structure. The orientation between TiC particles and Al matrix can be described as (220)Al∥(022)TiC and [112]Al∥[011]TiC. Results of the mechanical property tests reveal that the ultimate strength (σ) and modulus (E) are 687 MPa and 142 GPa respectively when the Al content is 40 vol. pct. 17Effect of grain size on α-variant selection in a ZrTiAlV alloy显示文摘Local crystallographic orientation characteristics of grains with different sizes in a ZrTiAlValloy after interrupted cooling from βphase region are investigated by electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD) technique. A statistical analysis of EBSD data shows that bigger parent β grains present weaker variant selection than smaller grains. The relevant influences are studied by comparing the nucleation behavior of grain boundary α(GBα) and succedent growth stage in varisized grains. In-depth analysis indicates that the deviation between pole of GBα and common pole of adjacent parent β grains is responsible for the smaller degree of variant selection inside the bigger parent β grains. 18Stable structure of Zr_(49)Cu_(44)Al_7 metallic glass matrix composite with CuZr phase under high pressure up to 40.8 GPa显示文摘Ternary Zr49Cu44Al7 metallic glass matrix composite rods with CuZr nano-phase,exhibiting an elastic strain of 1.6% and a high strength of 1.78 GPa,have been manufactured. The structural evaluation of the ternary metallic glass matrix composite under high pressure has been investigated using angle dispersive X-ray diffraction with a synchrotron radiation source. The investigation shows that the amorphous matrix structure is stable under pressures up to 40.8 GPa at room temperature. No pressure induced CuZr nano-phase disappearing or growing was detected. 20Compression behavior of Zr_(41)Ti_(14)Cu_(12.5)Ni_(10)Be_(22.5) bulk metallic glass up to 24 GPa显示文摘The compression of a Zr41Ti14Cu12.5Ni10Be22.5 bulk metallic glass (BMG) is investigated at room temperature up to 24 GPa using in-situ high pressure energy dispersive X-ray diffraction with a synchrotron radiation source. The pressure-induced structural relaxation is exhibited.
