| 1 | Rapidly in situ forming biodegradable hydrogels by combining alginate and hydroxyapatite nanocrystal显示文摘The in situ forming biodegradable polymer scaffolds are important biomaterials for tissue engineering and drug delivery.Hydrogels derived from natural proteins and polysaccharides are ideal tissue engineering scaffolds since they resemble the extracellular matrices of the tissue comprising various amino acids and sugar based macromolecules.This work presented an injectable system from partially oxidized alginate and hydroxyapatite(HAP) nanocrystal for tissue engineering and drug delivery applications.In situ release of calcium cations from HAP nanocrystal was adopted through lowering the pH with slow hydrolysis of D-glucono-δ-lactone(GDL) and homogeneous alginate gels were formulated as scaffolds with defined dimensions.The gelation time could be controlled to be in 10-15 min.The SEM observations confirmed the porous 3D hydrogel structure with interconnected pores ranging from 20 to 300 μm and the HAP particles dispersed in the scaffolds uniformly.The potential applications such as tissue engineering scaffold and injectable drug delivery system were demonstrated by subcutaneous implant test in test rats. | Lu Lu YuSha Qi ChangRen Zhou YanPeng Jiao | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,1: | 6 |

The major factors which affected the flowing behavior of the metallic melt in the mold were determined,which provides the foundation for overcoming the contradiction between the filling and formation of amorphous alloy during the rapid cooling process of the metallic melts. The casting factors to prepare a metallic ring were discussed and selected. | 3 | Effective suppression of mode distortion induced by amplifiers stimulated Raman scattering in high-power fiber显示文摘Mode distortion induced by stimulated Raman scattering(SRS)has become a new obstacle for the further development of high-power fiber lasers with high beam quality.Here,an approach for effective suppression of the SRS-induced mode distortion in high-power fiber amplifiers has been demonstrated experimentally by adjusting the seed power(output power of seed source)and forward feedback coefficient of the rear port in the seed source.It is shown that the threshold power of the SRS-induced mode distortion can be increased significantly by reducing the seed power or the forward feedback coefficient.Moreover,it has also been found that the threshold power is extremely sensitive to the forward feedback power value from the rear port.The influence of the seed power on the threshold power can be attributed to the fact that the seed power plays an important role in the effective length of the gain fiber in the amplifier.The influence of the forward feedback coefficient on the threshold power can be attributed to the enhanced SRS configuration because the end surface of the rear port together with the fiber in the amplifier constitutes a half-opening cavity.This suppression approach will be very helpful to further develop the high-power fiber amplifiers with high beam quality. | Wei Gao Wenhui Fan Pei Ju Gang Li Yanpeng Zhang Aifeng He Qi Gao Zhe Li | 2021 | High Power Laser Science and Engineering2021,9,2: | 1 |

| 6 | Distinct superconducting behaviors of pressurized WB2 and ReB2 with different local B layers显示文摘The recent discovery of superconductivity up to 32 K in the pressurized MoBreignites the interest in exploring high-Tc superconductors in transition-metal diborides. Inspired by that work, we turn our attention to the 5 d transition-metal diborides.Here we systematically investigate the responses of both structural and physical properties of WBand ReBto external pressure,which possess different types of boron layers. Similar to MoB, the pressure-induced superconductivity was also observed in WBabove 60 GPa with a maximum Tcof 15 K at 100 GPa, while no superconductivity was detected in ReBin this pressure range. Interestingly, the structures at ambient pressure for both WBand ReBpersist to high pressure without structural phase transitions. Theoretical calculations suggest that the ratio of flat boron layers in this class of transition-metal diborides may be crucial for the appearance of high Tc. | 10 | Effects of Heterologously Overexpressing PIP5K-Family Genes in Arabidopsis on Inflorescence Development显示文摘Castor is one of the top 10 oil crops in the world and has extremely valuable uses.Castor inflorescences directly affect yield,so the study of inflorescence development is very important in increasing castor yield.Our previous studies have shown that the PIP5K gene family(PIP5Ks)is associated with inflorescence development.In this study,to determine the function of each PIP5K gene in castor,a female Lm-type castor line,aLmAB2,was used to determine the relative expression levels of the PIP5Ks in castor inflorescences.Six PIP5K genes were heterologously overexpressed in Arabidopsis thaliana,the relative expression of each gene and the effect on plants was determined in A.thaliana,and the relationships among the PIP5Ks in castor were inferred.The expression levels of the PIP5Ks in the female Lm-type castor line aLmAB2 were analyzed.The relative expression levels of the PIP5K9 and PIP5K11 genes were high(p<0.05)in isofemale inflorescences,and those of PIP5K1,PIP5K2,PIP5K6,and PIP5K8 were high(p<0.05)in female inflorescences but low(p<0.05)in bisexual inflorescences.The PIP5Ks were heterologously overexpressed in A.thaliana,and T3-generation plants with stable genetic resistance,i.e.,AT-PIP5K^(+)plants(AT-PIP5K1^(+),AT-PIP5K2^(+),AT-PIP5K6^(+),AT-PIP5K8^(+),AT-PIP5K9^(+),and ATPIP5K11^(+) plants),were obtained.Biological tests of the AT-PIP5K+plants showed that the growth of the main stem was significantly delayed in AT-PIP5K+plants compared with Columbia wild-type(WT)A.thaliana plants;the PIP5K1 and PIP5K2 genes promoted lateral stem growth and flower and silique development;and the PIP5K6,PIP5K8,PIP5K9 and PIP5K11 genes inhibited lateral stem growth and flower and silique development.The correlations among PIP5Ks in castor suggest that there may be a synergistic relationship among PIP5K1,PIP5K2,and PIP5K6 in castor inflorescences,and PIP5K8,PIP5K9,and PIP5K11 are complementary to the other three genes. | Mingda Yin Rui Luo Tana Liang Qi Wen Xiaotian Liang Yanpeng Wen Xuemei Hu Zhiyan Wang Chang Gao Wenjing Ren Fenglan Huang | 2024 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2024,93,1: | 0 |

| 13 | The Role of Solvent in Tautomer Solvate Crystallization: A Case of 6-Amino-1,3-Dimethyl-5-Nitrosouracil显示文摘Tautomers are structural isomers that readily interconvert and may exhibit diff erent properties.The eff ect of solvent on tautomeric equilibria in solution has been a subject of some research.Tautomer solvate is less common,and the role of solvent in the crystallization of tautomer solvate remains an interesting topic.In this work,we used 6-amino-1,3-dimethyl-5-nitrosouracil(NAU)as the tautomeric model material,which can present in nitrone–enamine form(Tautomer A)or oxime–imine form(Tautomer B).A solvate with NAU/DMSO ratio of 1:1 was discovered and characterized using single/powder X-ray diff raction and thermogravimetry.The crystal structure of NAU·DMSO was determined for the fi rst time,where only Tautomer A was formed in the tautomeric crystal.Quantum chemical calculation and molecular dynamics simulation were conducted to determine the tautomeric form in DMSO solution.Electrostatic potential analysis,radial distribution function analysis,and binding energy suggested possible DMSO–NAU interaction modes and stable tautomer complexes in solution.Tautomer A-containing complexes were found to dominate in solution,as verifi ed by comparing predicted and experimental 1 H NMR spectra.Findings reveal that the hydrogen bonding between DMSO and NAU is similar in solution and in NAU–DMSO solvate crystal,which helps preserve the form of Tautomer A during solvate crystallization. | Luguang Qi Yanhui Jin Huina Li Yanpeng Dong Chuang Xie | 2020 | Transactions of Tianjin University2020,26,6: | 0 |

| 15 | Proteomic Study of Differentially Expressed Proteins in Seeds between Parents and Offspring of Castor Bean(Ricinus communis L.)显示文摘Castor bean(Ricinus communis L.),is one of the top 10 oilseed crops in the world and,therefore,of high economic value.Hybridization is one of the most effective ways to breed new varieties with high yield,high oil content,and better stress resistance.Therefore,prediction of desired traits in castor hybrid offspring is particularly important.In this study,proteomic analysis was performed to identify differentially expressed proteins(DEPs)in seeds between castor hybrid offspring and their female(Lm female line aLmAB2)and male parents(CSR·181).Among the DEPs upregulated in the seeds of hybrid offspring,the majority were related to seed yield and stress tolerance,while some were related to oil synthesis and fatty acid synthesis and metabolism in seeds.In other words,the hybrid offspring showed heterosis for seed yield,stress tolerance,oil synthesis,and fatty acid synthesis and metabolism when compared with their parents.Further,real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction assays were performed on 12 genes encoding DEPs involved in oil synthesis,pollen abortion,yield,and stress tolerance of seeds.The results showed that the expression levels of the 12 genes were consistent with those of the DEPs. | Xiaotian Liang Qi Wen Rui Luo Yanxin Zhang Mingda Yin Yanpeng Wen Xuemei Hu Zhiyan Wang Yumiao Huo Fenglan Huang | 2023 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2023,92,6: | 0 |
