| 1 | Induction of corneal epithelial progenitors from bone-marrow mesenchymal stem cells of rhesus monkeys in vitro显示文摘Bioengineered corneas are substitutes for human donor tissue that are designed to treat severe dis-ease affecting ocular surfaces. However,a shortage of candidate seed cells for bioengineering corneas is still a problem. Bone-marrow mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are capable of multilineage differen-tiation. Therefore,we determined whether MSCs differentiate into corneal epithelial cells (ECs). We applied three exoteric-microenvironmental systems to induce MSCs to become ECs. Induced MSC were identified by means of morphologic examination,immunocytochemical analysis,and flow cytometry. MSCs grown in one microenvironment had characteristics similar to those of corneal epithelial pro-genitors. Induced MSCs expressed markers for EC,including integrin β1,Cx43,Pax6,and P63. MSCs were successfully induced to become corneal epithelial progenitors. | 3 | Gene expression in Barrett's esophagus and reflux esophagitis induced by gastroduodenoesophageal reflux in rats显示文摘AIM: To investigate the difference of gene expression profiles between Barrett's esophagus and reflux esophagitis induced by gastroduodenoesophageal reflux in rats.METHODS: Eight-week-old Sprague-Dawley rats were treated esophagoduodenostomy to produce gastroduodenoesophageal reflux, and another group received sham operation as control. Esophageal epithelial tissues were dissected and frozen in liquid nitrogen immediately for pathology 40 wk after surgery. The expression profiles of 4 096 genes in reflux esophagitis and Barrett's esophagus tissues were compared with normal esophageal epithelium by cDNA microarray.RESULTS: Four hundred and forty-eight genes in Barrett'sesophagus were more than three times different from those in normal esophageal epithelium, including 312 up regulated and 136 down-regulated genes. Two hundred and thirty-twogenes in RE were more than three times different from those in normal esophageal epithelium, 90up-regulated and 142 down-regulated genes. Compared to reflux esophagitis, there were 214 up-regulated and 142 down-regulated genes in Barrett's esophagus. CONCLUSION: Esophageal epithelium exposed excessively to harmful ingredients of duodenal and gastric reflux can develop esophagitis and Barrett's esophagus gradually.The gene expression level is different between reflux esophagitis and Barrett's esophagus and the differentially expressed genes might be related to the occurrence and development of Barrett's esophagus and the promotion or progression in adenocarcinoma. | PengCheng JunGong TaoWang ChenJie GuiShengLiu RuZhang | 2005 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2005,11,21: | 1 |

| 8 | Further Investigation on the Correlation between Ionization Potential and Superconductivity of Oxides显示文摘The relations of oxygen content, critical temperature TC and mean ionization potential < U0> of superconducting oxides are reported. We found that in oxides oxygen is the major element which governs their < U0> te values and thus oxygen content plays an jmportant role in their superconducting properties. As for Y(123)- and T1-systems oxygenation may improve their TC values, but for Biand Hg-systems oxygenation process is not so important. In Y(123), as the oxygen content increase results in the increase of TC upon < U0>to, while the substitution of Ba2+ by Sr2+ causes the decrease of TC upon < U0 >. These results may provide some clues about the superconductivity of oxides and support further that < Uo > is really a good criterion for oxide superconductivity. | 9 | Magnetocrystalline Anisotropies of RFe_(10)V_2 (R=Y, Tb, Dy, Ho, and Er) and Their Hydrides显示文摘The magnetocrystalline anisotropies of RFe10V2 (R=Y, Tb, Dy, Ho and Er) and their hydrides were studied by X-ray diffraction, magnetization and a.c. susceptibility measurements. The uniaxial anisotropy of Fe-sublattice and R-sublattice with positive second order Stevens αJ in RFe10V2 compounds is weakened by hydrogenation, while that of R-sublattice with negative αJ (Er) enhanced. Such a change of anisotropy causes planar-easy magnetic structures in RFe10V2 (R=Tb and Dy) at room temperature and induces spin reorientation in HoFe10V2 after hydrogenation. | 11 | Manufacture of Raney Ni catalyst with metastable Ni_2Al_3 by high energy milling显示文摘The Ni Al alloy containing Cr, Fe additives were prepared as Raney Ni catalyst by high energy milling. The size and surface state of Ni Al alloy powder were studied by particle size analyzer and sanning electron microscopy, the structure was analyzed by XRD and Mssbauer methods. The results showed that after a high energy milling (HEM), the Ni Al alloy transforms to a nano scale NiAl structure with rich Al.
