1Numerical simulation of particle flow behavior in a screw conveyor using the discrete element method显示文摘Particle motion in a screw conveyor was simulated w让h the discrete element method. The particle flow behavior and transport processes at different screw rotating speeds and filling levels were investigated in this study. The spatial distributions of particle velocity were predicted. The predicted mass flow rate increased w让h increasing screw rotating speed and filling level. The contact forces and granular temperatures of particles were also calculated. The simulation results showed that the translational granular particle temperatures were higher than the rotational granular particle temperatures. In add让ion, the configurational temperatures of particles were calculated from simulated instantaneous particle overlaps, and results indicated that deformation of elastic particles contributed to the rate of energy dissipation. 2Mechanisms and field test of solution mining by self-resonating cavitating water jets显示文摘Rapid solution mining is the key to cavern construction in salt formations. Rapid solution mining technology with self-resonating cavitating water jets is described in this paper. It can generate three main physical effects: helical flow dissolution, self-resonating cavitating jet erosion, and ultrasonic waves. A self-resonating cavitating nozzle was also designed with the principles based on theory of fluid transients and hydro-acoustics. Under ambient pressure, the experimental results show that the impulse amplitude of pressure reaches a peak at a standoff distance of 5-13 times the nozzle outlet diameter and the cutting ability of self-resonating cavitating jets is twice that of conventional jets under the same conditions. 3Advances in oral peptide drug nanoparticles for diabetes mellitus treatment显示文摘Peptide drugs play an important role in diabetes mellitus treatment.Oral administration of peptide drugs is a promising strategy for diabetes mellitus because of its convenience and high patient compliance compared to parenteral administration routes.However,there are a series of formidable unfavorable conditions present in the gastrointestinal(GI)tract after oral administration,which result in the low oral bioavailability of these peptide drugs.To overcome these challenges,various nanoparticles(NPs)have been developed to improve the oral absorption of peptide drugs due to their unique in vivo properties and high design flexibility.This review discusses the unfavorable conditions present in the GI tract and provides the corresponding strategies to overcome these challenges.The review provides a comprehensive overview on the NPs that have been constructed for oral peptide drug delivery in diabetes mellitus treatment.Finally,we will discuss the rational application and give some suggestions that can be utilized for the development of oral peptide drug NPs.Our aim is to provide a systemic and comprehensive review of oral peptide drug NPs that can overcome the challenges in GI tract for efficient treatment of diabetes mellitus.Yan Li Wen Zhang Ruichen Zhao Xin Zhang 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,9:2
4Conceptual rotational mode design for optical conical scanning imaging small satellites显示文摘This paper focuses upon the novel optical conical scanning imaging working mode design for small satellites.This kind of satellite employs only one inclined optical camera achieving wide-swath imaging via a rotational motion about the nadir axis either by the camera or by the satellite.Three working modes are designed,i.e.,high-speed rotational mode,low-speed rotational mode,and variable-speed rotational mode.For the high-speed and low-speed working modes,the camera rotates at a constant speed and the corresponding angular velocity is derived under the consideration of guaranteed coverage and minimized overlap.To improve the system performance,an enhanced working mode taking advantages of both the high-speed rotational mode and lowspeed rotational mode is proposed.Working in this variable-speed rotational mode,the camera rotates slowly to get high-quality pictures when it works,while it rotates rapidly to reduce the energy consumption and save the storage during which period the camera is turned off to minimize the overlap.All these working modes are illustrated in detail,and numerical simulation tests are conducted to validate their effectiveness.WANG Feng XI RuiChen YUE ChengFei LI HuaYi CAO XiBin 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,8:1
5Pharmacokinetics after single and multiple intravaginal application of clindamycin phosphate vaginal gel in Chinese female volunteers显示文摘Objective:To investigate the pharmacokinetics of clindamycin phosphate vaginal gel in healthy Chinese female volunteers.Methods:Ten healthy Chinese female volun- teers were intravaginally given with 5.0g of clindamycin phosphate vaginal gel (equivalent to 100mg of clindamycin) once for single dose treatment,and 5.0g,once a day for 3 days,for mul- tiple dose treatment.The serum concentration of clindamycin were determined by HPLC-MS method and its pharmacokinetic parameters of clindamycin were calculated by DAS 1.0 soft- ware.Results:The main pharmacokinetic parameters of clindamycin for single dose and multiple doses were as follows:t_(1/2) were (15.30±2.62) hours and (14.78±2.49) hours,Tmax were (4.88±0.94) hours and (4.70±0.59) hours,Cmax were (38.30±22.77) ng/ml and (44.87±26.71) ng/ml,AUC0_(-∞) were (783.45±351.19) ng·ml^(-1)·h^(-1) and (1015.68±456.95) ng·ml^(-1)·h^(-1),respectively.Conclusion:The Cmax of clindamycin phosphate vaginal gel after a single dose and multiple doses are obviously lower and t_(1,2) are longer than that of clindamycin phosphate oral preparations,which suggests that clindamycin phosphate vaginal gel acts locally and can be slowly absorbed to circulation for systemic actions.Wang Benjie Li Yunxia Yuan Guiyan Bu Fanlong Guo Ruichen 2007现代妇产科进展2007,16,2:1

8Caveolin-1-deficient fibroblasts promote migration,invasion,and stemness via activating the TGF-β/Smad signaling pathway in breast cancer cells显示文摘Cancer-associated fibroblasts(CAFs)represent one of the main components in the tumor stroma and play a key role in breast cancer progression.Transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)has been established to mediate breast cancer metastasis by regulating the epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)and stemness of cancer cells.Caveolin-1(CAV-1)is a scaffold protein of caveolae that is related to the proliferation and metabolism of cancer cells.It is now well demonstrated that CAV-1 deficiency in the tumor stroma is positively correlated with distant metastasis,but the mechanism remains unclear.Here,we explore whether CAV-1-deficient fibroblasts play an essential role in the EMT and stemness of breast cancer cells(BCCs)through TGF-βsignaling.We establish a specific small interfering RNA(siRNA)to inhibit CAV-1 expression in fibroblasts and coculture them with BCCs to investigate the effect of CAV-1-deficient fibroblasts and the tumor microenvironment on breast cancer progression.This study refreshingly points out that CAV-1 deficiency in fibroblasts enhances TGF-β1 secretion and then activates the TGF-β1/Smad signaling pathway of BCCs,thus promoting the metastasis and stemness of BCCs.Collectively,our findings indicate an unexpected role of CAV-1 deficiency in fibroblasts and the tumor microenvironment as a permissive factor,which is regulated by the TGF-β1 signaling pathway in BCCs.Qingyun Huang Longyuan Wu Yi Wang Xinyu Kong Xinhua Xiao Qiyuan Huang Miao Li Yujia Zhai Fuxiu Shi Ruichen Zhao Junpei Zhong Lixia Xiong 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,11:1

11Study and Application of Health Care Measure in Tunnel Construction of Qinghai-Tibet Railway显示文摘In this paper we studied a key control project in QinghaiTibet Railway construction. The project included the oxygen supplying system, the ventilation and air changing system measure of tunnel environment, monitoring and comprehensive treatment on airborne dust and toxic and harmful gases, hygiene intervention with builders in Fenghuoshan Tunnel construction. In the worst sector of the whole Qinghai-Tibet Railway line, we acquired a good achievement of the lowest incidence rate of altitude disease. Hence the Fenghuoshan Tunnel was joined up in advance, which set up a new record for frozen soil tunnel construction at high altitudes. 13Can urban forests provide acoustic refuges for birds?Investigating the influence of vegetation structure and anthropogenic noise on bird sound diversity显示文摘As a crucial component of terrestrial ecosystems,urban forests play a pivotal role in protecting urban biodiversity by providing suitable habitats for acoustic spaces.Previous studies note that vegetation structure is a key factor influencing bird sounds in urban forests;hence,adjusting the frequency composition may be a strategy for birds to avoid anthropogenic noise to mask their songs.However,it is unknown whether the response mechanisms of bird vocalizations to vegetation structure remain consistent despite being impacted by anthropogenic noise.It was hypothesized that anthropogenic noise in urban forests occupies the low-frequency space of bird songs,leading to a possible reshaping of the acoustic niches of forests,and the vegetation structure of urban forests is the critical factor that shapes the acoustic space for bird vocalization.Passive acoustic monitoring in various urban forests was used to monitor natural and anthropogenic noises,and sounds were classified into three acoustic scenes(bird sounds,human sounds,and bird-human sounds)to determine interconnections between bird sounds,anthropogenic noise,and vegetation structure.Anthropogenic noise altered the acoustic niche of urban forests by intruding into the low-frequency space used by birds,and vegetation structures related to volume(trunk volume and branch volume)and density(number of branches and leaf area index)significantly impact the diversity of bird sounds.Our findings indicate that the response to low and high frequency signals to vegetation structure is distinct.By clarifying this relationship,our results contribute to understanding of how vegetation structure influences bird sounds in urban forests impacted by anthropogenic noise.Zezhou Hao Chengyun Zhang Le Li Bing Sun Shuixing Luo Juyang Liao Qingfei Wang Ruichen Wu Xinhui Xu Christopher A.Lepczyk Nancai Pei 2024Journal of Forestry Research2024,35,2:0

17Development on Technique of Tube Reducing in Double 3-Roll Dies显示文摘Based on the experiments, a new technique of reducing tube with two linked 3-roll roller dies was developed. The external friction conditions, velocity and the non-uniform deformation of metal were distinctly improved, and the friction between metal and tool was decreased.
