1AN IMAGE MAGNIFICATION ALGORITHM USING THE GVF CONSTRAINT MODEL显示文摘An image magnification method with a Gradient Vector Flow(GVF)constraint-basedanisotropic diffusion model is proposed in this letter.A Low-Resolution(LR)image is first magnifiedusing bilinear interpolation,and then an iterative image restoration method,with the use of an ani-sotropic diffusion model and a Gaussian moving-average constraint,is applied to the magnified image.The estimated GVF of a High-Resolution(HR)image can be used to remove the jagged effect and topreserve the textural structure in the image.Meanwhile,the use of the Gaussian moving-average LRmodel can provide a data fidelity constraint,which renders a magnified image closer to the ideal HRversion.Experimental results show that the proposed method can improve the quality of magnifiedimages in terms of both objective and subjective criteria.Li Xiaoguang Lam Kin-Man Shen Lansun 2008Journal of Electronics(China)2008,25,4:4
2A NEW HYPERSPHERE SUPPORT VECTOR MACHINE ALGORITHM显示文摘The hypersphere support vector machine is a new algorithm in pattern recognition. By studying three kinds of hypersphere support vector machines, it is found that their solutions are identical and the margin between two classes of samples is zero or is not unique. In this letter, a new kind of hypersphere support vector machine is proposed. By introducing a parameter n(n>1), a unique solution of the margin can be obtained. 3RATE CONTROL ALGORITHM FOR H.264 VIDEO ENCODER显示文摘This letter proposes a rate control algorithm for H.264 video encoder, which is based on block activity and buffer state. Experimental results indicate that it has an excellent performance by providing much accurate bit rate and better coding efficiency compared with H.264. 5A PERSONALIZED IMAGE RETRIEVAL BASED ON VISUAL PERCEPTION显示文摘A new scheme named personalized image retrieval technique based on visual perception is proposed in this letter, whose motive is to narrow the semantic gap by directly perceiving user's visual information. It uses visual attention model to segment image regions and eye-tracking technique to record fixations. Visual perception is obtained by analyzing the fixations in regions to measure gaze interests. 7OBJECT-BASED SUPER RESOLUTION FOR INTELLIGENT VISUAL SURVEILLANCE VIDEO显示文摘Construction of high resolution images from low resolution sequences is often im- portant in surveillance applications. In this letter, an affine based multi-scale block-matching image registration algorithm is first proposed. The images to be registered are divided into overlapped blocks of different size according to its motions. The Least Square (LS) image reg- istration algorithm is extended to match the blocks. Then an object based Super Resolution (SR) scheme is designed, the Maximum A Priori (MAP) super resolution algorithm is extended to enhance the resolution of the interest objects. Experimental results show that the proposed multi-scale registration method provides more accurate registration between frames. 15A PREDICTION BASED ALL-ZERO BLOCK DETECTION METHOD FOR H.263显示文摘In this letter, a novel method based on Temporal and Spatial Prediction (TSP) to detect all-zero DCT coefficients based on temporal and spatial prediction between neighboring blocks is proposed. The presented algorithm uses the knowledge of all-zero block distribution in the previous frame combined with the Sum of Absolute Difference (SAD) of the corresponding macroblock as a criterion. 20RESEARCH ON COLOR CONSTANCY UNDER OPEN ILLUMINATION CONDITIONS显示文摘Color information plays a key role in the research fields of object recognition and image retrieval. However, the actual color varies by the conditions of illumination, especially the open natural daylight. Four different color constancy schemes are proposed in the paper to minimize the effects of open illumination conditions. (1) The color constancy scheme based on the image statistics is proposed, which includes the color cast detection and removal. (2) The color constancy scheme based on the color temperature curve is proposed, which combines Gaussian model with linear fitting to estimate color temperature curve. (3) The color constancy scheme based on the double exposure theory is proposed, which is able to reproduce a color image under typical illumination. (4) According to the concepts of supervised learning, the supervised color constancy scheme is proposed.
