| 1 | Properties of boron doped ZnO films prepared by reactive sputtering method: Application to amorphous silicon thin film solar cells显示文摘Reactive sputtered boron-doped zinc oxide(BZO) film was deposited from argon,hydrogen and boron gas mixture.The reactive sputtering technique provides us the flexibility of changing the boron concentration in the produced films by using the same intrinsic zinc oxide target.Textured surface was obtained in the as-deposited films.The surface morphology and the opto-electronic properties of the films can be controlled by simply varying the gas concentration ratio.By varying the gas concentration ratio,the best obtained resistivity ~6.51×10^-4Ω-cm,mobility ~19.05 cm^2 V^-1 s^-1 and sheet resistance ~7.23Ω/□ were obtained.At lower wavelength of light,the response of the deposited films improves with the increase of boron in the gas mixture and the overall transmission in the wavelength region 350-1100 nm of all the films are>85 %.We also fabricated amorphous silicon(a-Si) thin film solar cell on the best obtained BZO layers.The overall efficiency of the a-Si solar cell is 8.14 %,found on optimized BZO layer. | Sukanta Bose Sourav Mandal Asok K.Barua Sumita Mukhopadhyay | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020，52，20： | 6 |
| 2 | Extraocular retinoblastoma in Indian children:clinical,imaging and histopathological features显示文摘AIM:To study eyes with extraocular dissemination(EORB),with the following aims:first to establish the mean lag period and to understand various reasons for delayed presentation,second to study their imaging profiles and third to analyze histopathological features of eyes enucleated after neoadjuvant chemotherapy.·METHODS:Prospective study of clinical and imaging features of EORBs(stage Ⅲ and Ⅳ International Retinoblastoma Staging System) presenting to a tertiary eye care centre.Histopathological features of eyes enucleated after receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy were analyzed.A pictorial illustration of the varied imaging profile of EORB was also presented.·RESULTS:Over a period of one year,97 eyes were diagnosed with retinoblastoma;32 children(36 eyes)(37.1%) had EORB.Mean age 3.6±1.9 years,71.9% males,71.9% unilateral,3.1% with positive family history and40.6% with metastasis.On imaging,there was extrascleral involvement in 22.2%,involvement of orbital part of optic nerve in 33.3%,involvement of central nervous system in 27.8% and orbital wall involvement in2.9% eyes.On histopathological analysis of eyesenucleated after neoadjuvant chemotherapy,25.0% had no residual viable tumour tissue and rest all tumours were poorly differentiated.·CONCLUSION:There are very few human malignancies where definitive treatment is started without any confirmed histopathological diagnosis and imaging plays an important role in diagnosis and appropriate staging of the disease.Chemotherapy has a variable effect on EORB,75.0% of eyes with EORB had residual viable tumour tissue when enucleated after receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy. | Sumita Sethi Neelam Pushker Seema Kashyap Sanjay Sharma Mridula Mehta Sameer Bakhshi Saurbhi Khurana Supriyo Ghose | 2013 | International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2013，6，4： | 5 |
| 3 | Optimizing management in autoimmune hepatitis with liver failure at initial presentation显示文摘Autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) is a disease of unknown etiology,its hallmark being ongoing hepatic inflammation.By its very nature,it is a chronic condition,although increasingly,we are becoming aware of patients with acute presentations,some of whom may have liver failure.There are very limited published data on patients with AIH with liver failure at initial diagnosis,which consist mostly of small retrospective studies.As a consequence,the clinical features and optimal management of this cohort remain poorly defined.A subset of patients with AIH who present with liver failure do respond to corticosteroids,but for the vast majority,an urgent liver transplantation may offer the only hope of long-term survival.At present,there is uncertainty on how best to stratify such a cohort into responders and non-responders to corticosteroids as soon as possible after hospitalization,thus optimizing their management.This editorial attempts to answer some of the unresolved issues relating to management of patients with AIH with liver failure at initial presentation.However,it must be emphasized that,at present,this editorial is based mostly on small retrospective studies,and it is an understatement that multicenter prospective studies are urgently needed to address this important clinical issue. | Jonathan R Potts Sumita Verma | 2011 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2011，17，16： | 3 |

| 5 | NICT/ATR Chinese-Japanese-English Speech-to-Speech Translation System显示文摘This paper describes the latest version of the Chinese-Japanese-English handheld speech-to-speech translation system developed by NICT/ATR, which is now ready to be deployed for travelers. With the entire speech-to-speech translation function being implemented into one terminal, it realizes real-time, location-free speech-to-speech translation. A new noise-suppression technique notably improves the speech recognition performance. Corpus-based approaches of speech recognition, machine translation, and speech synthesis enable coverage of a wide variety of topics and portability to other languages. | 6 | Porphyromonas gingivalis Resistance to Polymyxin B Is Determined by the Lipid A 4’-Phosphatase, PGN_0524显示文摘Aim To elucidate the genetic basis for the pronounced resistance that the oral pathogen, Porphyromonas gingivalis (P. gingivalis), exhibits towards the cationic antimicrobial peptide, polymyxin B. Methodology A genetic screen of P. gingivalis clones generated by a Tn4400’-based random insertion mutagenesis strategy was performed to identify bacteria harboring novel genetic mutations that render P. gingivalis susceptible to killing by the cationic antimicrobial peptide, polymyxin B (PMB, 50 μg-mL-1). Results P. gingivalis (ATCC 33277) is unusually resistant to the cationic antimicrobial peptide, PMB at relatively high concentrations (200 μg-mL-1). Approximately 2,700 independent Tn4400’-derived mutants of P. gingivalis were examined for increased sensitivity to PMB killing at a relatively low dose (50 μg-mL-1). A single PMB-sensitive mutant was obtained in this phenotypic screen. We determined that the Tn4400’ transposon was integrated into the gene encoding the lipid A 4’-phosphatase, PGN_0524, demonstrating that this insertion event was responsible for its increased susceptibility of this clone to PMB-dependent killing. The resulting mutant strain, designated 0524-Tn4400’, was highly sensitive to PMB killing relative to wild-type P. gingivalis, and exhibited the same sensitivity as the previously characterized strain, 0524KO, which bears a genetically engineered deletion in the PGN_0524 locus. Positive ion mass spectrometric structural (MALDI-TOF MS) analyses revealed that lipid A isolates from 0524-Tn4400’ and 0524KO strains displayed strikingly similar MALDI-TOF MS spectra that were substantially different from the wildtype P. gingivalis lipid A spectrum. Finally, intact 0524- Tn4400’ and 0524KO mutant bacteria, as well as their corresponding LPS isolates, were significantly more potent in stimulating Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)-dependent E-selectin expression in human endothelial cells relative to intact wild-type P. gingivalis or its corresponding LPS isolate. Conclusion The combined molecular evidence provided in this report suggests that PGN_0524, a lipid A 4’-phosphatase, is the sole genetic element conferring the ability of the periodontopathogen, P. gingivalis, to evade the killing activity of cationic antimicrobial peptides, such as PMB. These data strongly implicate PGN_0524 as a critical virulence factor for the ability of P. gingivalis to evade front-line host innate defenses that are dependent upon cationic antimicrobial peptide activity and TLR4 sensing. | Stephen R.
